Man, when I first got Apache, I thought, this is not a macerated liquid. To me it had a similar fume as the aros. In my experience (save for w2v, even though we don't know how those are extracted), macerations are generally pretty distiguishable. However, I will say (not to undermine my theory) that some of HoL's liquids don't taste like macerations exactly (Puros, Cigarillos, etc.). Well, whatever, I still don't think Apache is done the same way. Plus, it just kinda sits there like, oh, I dunno, all alone. LOL

Man, I just knew I wasn't the only one. Well, call me Apache.

Some macerations really feel like a soak to me. Like most from GeJ; with the exception of Fire Cured, and most from N-E-T; which really give the soaked tobacco feel. HoL, some from W2V like Blond, CI, and the Signature line, and all from MOV and Ahl; I have to go by info instead because they don't have that same soaked flavor. A couple that I had from QnJ I couldn't guess at either, even though I know their soaks.

So basically... yeah I can't tell the extraction method by flavor easily, with some exceptions.

Moondrop's "Hummingbird Wine" sounds interesting...tobacco absolute with honeysuckle and a touch of cinnamon. However that vendor is currently MIA

Read about your frustration with Moondrop. Hope it gets resolved favorably, let me know what happens.

Speaking of honeysuckle (which vapes awesomely) with tobacco, CloudsofVapor has a synthetic honeysuckle tobacco. Saw it when checking out their Black and Tan arti, which comes highly recommended by Bill. Might try the honeysuckle when I order B&T.

Yes double d, that much is clear. MOV is next up for me. I have no interest in SG...but long have I eyed Pendragon and Sunday Morning. I have high hopes for both and am excited to see what side of the fence I fall with pendragon . Apache will be in the order.

After trying out MOV's offerings including Sunday morning and Pendragon, I picked up 6 bottles each of SG and Ai Ai Ai Apache in their 4th of July sale.. ;)

Just ordered these. Gotta try them out.

MOV: (Gold label NETs)
1) Apache
2) Southern Gentleman
3) Full Virginia Flake RY4]

GeJ:
1) Patriot
2) Natural Perique Tobacco
3) Vita Bella

Not done yet. Dang it. Got a problem. ALL of Clays stuff is great from NETCOM, and it's a hard to choose from. Gotta have more Black Cavendish though. Clay is RIGHT ON the mark with that brew. Outstanding vape!!

Question: why use a Pro Tank when you know it won't deliver all the flavor in a juice?

I should buy you something for that great question. :) My two ProTanks failed me miserably when sampling NETCOM juices. Failed so much that they got tossed to the other side of the room. Wait... they're still over there! I'll be damned. What a mess I've made. Now that I'm coincidentally out of Black Cavendish, I'll at least get to smell it.

Okay, I missed this. The cherries fade. They're strong right away, but right away doesn't last for too long. After that, it's a mild-cherry tobacco. Still great, but not BIGCHERRYBURLEYMONSTER anymore.

Question: why use a Pro Tank when you know it won't deliver all the flavor in a juice?

At the time, I had just graduated to a ProVari and PT2's from a Halo Triton. Two weeks later, I had my first cartos and pyrex tanks - the 357 was on order. When it arrived, the first juice to go in after prep and break-in was Smokin' Cherries.

I got to be honest, based on your reiew, I thought you were pretty experienced with all of this. I tell ya', some vapers move quickly. Then again, vaping as a whole moves pretty quickly these days. It was just the beginning of last year when it was either carto or atty (with the occasional genesis or ViVi type) that was as much as one really needed to know about (as far as JDSs).

Don't mind Dusty. He's anti-VB :D

Vita Bella is good out of the mailbox. It's even better a few months down the line.

I'm not anti-VB, VB is anti-Dusty! I wanted to like it, based on all y'all's reviews but it just didn't care to give me the time of the day!:p

I think I tried it out at 3 weeks, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months and 6 months. It'll be making it's way to Bronze later today.. we talked about it just yesterday.

Oh well, there's always Apache for me.. that dirty, coil gunking, in your face, nothing even comes close, no bones about it NET. :D

Yowza, Dusty. For me, Apache is the best of the MOV NETs.

I think you misinterpreted what I said. That (ask Mr. Mann) was the highest praise I could bestow upon Apache. I love it!!

I understood, but it never gunked my coils. :p I know people didn't know if I really liked Gamel or not based on how I speak about it. I would love it even more if AVE had some consistency.

He-he. I remember reading the posts where you were afraid to try Huntsman :p

Now, you're full on APACHE!

S'funny how our tastes grow with experience :)

Huntsman tastes like chewing grass.. Apache is umm, how do I put it? like a forest fire in your mouth.. yeah, that's it!
