I've thought a bit about the differences and similarities in the base tobaccos of the various Ahlusion NETs. I just put them into groups of related characteristics, then thought I'd do a taxonomic hierarchy, sort of. (I hope I can figure out how to attach this. . .)

Dude, brilliant! What's with the DC in the non-NET? Do you know something I don't or is that a little dig at DC lol.

In my guestination, DC and Sahara are both arti-NETs, with some NET to add body but most of the flavor coming from a synthetic flavoring. They don't however share a similar base.

How does the big spirit compare to the real thing?

Big Spirit is probably closest you'll find to an American Spirit, as the only flavoring in it is from an extraction of American Spirit tobacco. As a cig style vape, it's pretty damn good. The experience to me is like removing the flavor of the burning paper, and upping the pure tobacco taste of a cig.

First thing you'll want to find out is if you actually like NET, or prefer synthetic tobacco flavors. Only way to find out is to try a NET, and Big Spirit is as good a place to start as any.

I'll soon find out about BIG SPIRIT and can't wait!I'm just not a big pipe tobacco fan.But I'm sure I've had some NETS that were probably pipe or cigar and didn't even know it and liked them :).NETS I've liked most that I have tried are the slap u in the face tobacco like fire cured,DD,BGB,Apache. Now love me some DF,Huntsman too....

I didn't think Dulce C was a NET at all, but I didn't pay much attention, because I hate the cigar wrapper flavor. If you let Sahara steep for a couple months, you will uncover a big tobacco presence. There may be artificial elements, but I think it's natural Turkish and Virginia for the most part. But either way, it's the only juice essentially based on Oriental tobacco.

I asked Wlad if the tobacco in JG was Desperado, and he said "They have similarities." I totally taste Desperado in JG, and I think the base of Gold Rising is a close relative too (with added urine elements, of course). The other non-aros are more difficult to group.

Yep, let us know if Big Spirit is your thang. If so, this thread is probably the best resource on the interNET for vapes made from real tobacco. Big Spirit will be good fairly early, no long term steeping needed.

Boba's Bounty is good, really good. But.. it's not a tobacco. Some people taste it as tobacco, and when in a rare and weird mood I sometimes did too. For me and most others here it's a dessert or bakery type flavor. Honey graham cracker to me, oatmeal raisin cookie to some, raisin bran to others.. but for NET vapers it's pretty far from tobacco. Overall, as hyped up as it's been for years, it's really just a solid vape than many like and many don't, just like thousands of other juices.

Sharon, if I remember right you didn't like Vita, but have you tried others from GeJ? You may find a couple that work in either their straight tobacco NET line or the flavor infused NET line. How about ThePlumeRoom or QuicknicJuice?

Sent from my LGL55C using Tapatalk 2

Well, Ms. Vita might be growing on me a little bit.. I dripped a little a couple days ago and the wet bread thing it had going on at first seemed to be toned down quite a bit. I also picked up grasshopper and pop that cherry from them.. that cherry one is a nightmare.. gross fake cherry flavor, not any tobacco to be found. Haven't touched the grasshopper so I couldn't say.

The plume room I LOVE burley and candy from them, I like honey fig an awful lot.. I have smooth and mild on the way (flavor of the week, awe yeah!) and have yet to try candied cavendish. I'm not big on banana, but since I love b&c so much I still want to try it out.

Quicknic.. never heard of them. Will hafta check them out. :)

Jiggy is supposed to be the most dissimilar, but I'm not a gummy bear fan. I am looking forward to trying Pirate's Booty at some point. Sludge... really no interest in it. Caramel Apple Tobacco... yes, I'd like to at least sample that arti-bacco.

Have you tried Darth Vapors? Or, in non-NETs, Indigo?

Indigo- Oorah and captain jack. Hated them both so I'm scared to try more. I was bummed about it too.. they're pretty well regarded.

Darth vapors I have not tried. Adding them to my list.

I personally enjoy Long Bottom Leaf a great deal. I would say it is a somewhat sweet, but not sickeningly so, vape. Many have reviewed it as an artibacco, which at its base I believe it is, but I don;t taste hardly any tobacco of any kind at all. I recommend trying it. It is the only non-NET in my daily rotation aside from Ahlusion W&A sassy

Cool.. sounds like its possibly something up my alley. So if not tobacco, what DO you taste?

Same here. Although I wasn't a pipe smoker... God, I loved going into a good tobacco shop and smelling the aroma of the pipe tobaccos.

Speaking of vanilla 'baccy, what do you guys think of Coventry?

Think I'm pretty sold on Coventry too.. but here's the thing. I tried some black cherry pipe from them and I'm tasting WET BREAD again. What is up with all the wet bread in these nets? I mean, is it just me, or? I'm becoming suspect of macerated liquids cuz it seems to be the common denominator with net.com and GeJ.

Thanks for the help ALL!

Resistance is futile. Prepare to be assimilated.

I was eying up Smooth & Mild last night after I found a post on this forum where someone said it reminded him of Nat Sherman MCD. Please lemme know what you think of it.

I just tried Black Cherry (I got a free sample with my order) and I don't taste wet bread. Didn't taste it in Vita, either.

In other news, Pumpkin Pie Tobacco is awesome. I don't usually drink coffee at this hour but I just need to brew some now to go with this vape.

I have 150mls of home-brewed extract made from a fresh pack of American Spirit Organic cigarettes. It's delicious. I'm shocked by its sweetness, which is presumably natural. And yes, it tastes like real tobacco, same as my Nat Sherman MCD extract, which is less sweet, slightly more cigar-like, and has more depth and punch.

Poor QnJ. :(

They suffer terribly from an identity crisis. They have juices that take back seat to no one yet they remain the biggest mystery out there.

That said, I am putting it square on Rich's shoulders. He doesn't take back seat to Claude Rains either.

Sharon, I think I follow you on the wet bread thing. I also notice a soaked flavor in most GeJ and NETcom juices I've had. With GeJ it's kind of a funky flavor that I'm guessing results from the LONG steeping they do for their macerations. It's definately part of the signature GeJ flavor, though for some odd reason it's not present at all in their Fire Cured. I actually like that funkiness a lot, I'd suggest giving it time to see if it grows on you. NETcom that soaked feel too to me, but less so.

That's I think the third bad report I've heard on GeJ new cherry NET. Synthetic cherry taste is a no go for me, so going to pass on it. Be sure to let us know how that Grasshopper is.

Vapo, sweet, glad you like that Tobumpin. I'm def gonna try it. Also getting a 30ml of Sweet and Mild from TPR while it's the weekly special. Gonna order Monday when I get money in my account. I LOVED that juice a while back. It's a synthetic tobacco and kind of odd, but it really clicked with me. I just hope the juice can match my memory of it.

Hey, Sharon,

Some may disagree with me suggesting Vermillion, but you should know that they'll send you a "free" 4.5 mL sample, without even having to purchase anything, with a nominal shipping charge ($2.50) and get this: you can return your liquid within the first 10 days if you don't like them. Yep, I said it. For replacement or credit.

Taken from the site:

Excellence

We proudly back every product we sell with a 100% satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with any product purchased from Vermillion River Premium E Juice, you can send it back to us within 10 days of purchase for a replacement or store credit, your choice. (Limit 1 bottle per order.) Use our RMA system on your account page to get the ball rolling.

I challenge anyone to show me an eliquid business practice that trumps that. You may not all like their liquids, but you got to give them props for that. Hell, since you can only return ! bottle per order, just buy one. LOL

Sharon, I recommend Kentucky Premium Blend straight. It's an NET and I think it's quite possible something like you're looking for. I can't remember if it should steep (my bottle is old), and that would extend past the return date, but it's worth a shot. Vermillion is a quality vendor no matter how you slice it.

Mr. Mann, thanks for the explanation. Mighty kind of you to take the time to help a newcomer understand. It's people like you that make this forum great.

Shatner, point taken

What point? About <40 posts/page is 'n00b settings"? PSHH! It's what we call it on another forum I'm a member of. It's a group of glass blowers/flame workers and makes this place look pristine as far as politeness goes. What I'm trying to say is I meant it as a joke. :)

So, I found the shelf life for Smooth Criminal (mann, goes for you too. In fact, the mannimal style SC I had was even worse). I had a year old bottle that I used last night (cobalt glass) and it was straight funk! Same with Gold Rising. SGP, BGB, DD! and Vurley lost a ton of oomph. I ended up throwing ~4x 60mls and 4x 30ml. Sucked. I know people like to stock up, but don't buy more than you'll need within a month or 3. Lesson learned.

Jerms put it a good way: it's like soda without the carbonation.

I have full flake ry4 from mov, and I enjoy it, but the tobacco impact isn't there, imo. Too sweet, really. I put that one down for a long steep to see if anything changes. I have another friend who also noted that mov lacks in tobacco impact, so I guess I put them on hold.

I've tried a lot at Heather's and have bottles of Army, dipity, legend and shadow. Hunstman, dark horse, dragon fire and oompah just didn't do it for me. I can't believe there's 16.. guess I will have to check the website.

The thing with Heathers is, I really want something differentiated from what I have.. I note a lot of similarity from juice to juice from them.

Have you tried QuickNicJuice? Their tobaccos are the stars of the show. If you like RY4 try their Are Why Qu4tro. It's a really great NET RY4 with the tobacco being the star and not cloyingly sweet as I find GeJ GJ4 (but others love it). Also try their Grandpa's Nightcap if you haven't. It's a no nosense tobacco and damn good!

Also, a little birdy told me that Clay over at NET.com is working on an RY4.

Vermillion River is well worth trying. They have a bunch of tobacco flavors that use the same tobacco (I don't know if this was ever confirmed but I am convinced of it) but add different top notes and give it another name. So if you like one juice, there's a high likelihood you'll like a whole bunch of them. The opposite is also true. I happened to fall on the "opposite" side but VR has a nice business so there are many who fell on the "right" side. And with an offer like MM just posted, you can't go wrong. It could be a treasure trove for anyone willing to go for it.

mANN, did you know that Chimps won a YEAR SUPPLY of liquid from the manufacturer (or reseller, not sure which one) of Pluid and Maha Ras?? I saw it on Facebook. He entered a Facebook contest. What a lucky guy and no one deserved to win it as much as he did considering his financial situation and his generosity!

That's freaking sweet! I agree that if anyone deserved it it's him. Did vapingwatch.com put on the contest?

Also, even if he doesn't like it he'll have no trouble selling or trading it. Although it is much(!) more available now that vaping watch is the official vendor. Speaking of, new melon flavor from Murdock later this month. I'm curious about it.

I have a bottle of Janty RY4 that's around 4 years old and it tastes fantastic. The straight up synthetic juices seem to last a loooonnngggg time. When natural flavors get involved, not going to get the shelf life. I think Ahlusion recommends their juice to be used by 6 months after it's mixed. I've never had a juice around long enough to go bad, but if I don't slow down my purchases I'll start finding out what these naturally flavored juices are like when they make a turn.

Thanks Mr. Mann and Bronze for the help. I just ordered a 5ml 12mg Boba's bounty from alien visions. they had a sale today plus apparently it's all the rage on the forum. I used to smoke American spirits, maybe about a pack a week and maybe a pack a day over a weekend. too busy to smoke m-f. I've looked up liquids that were like AS but were awful.

I guess I'm looking for a tabacco flavor that is smooth and enjoyable. Ya know, like something that would be great after a hearty meal.
hopefully this makes sense

https://www.avejuice.com/our-blog.html?post=72

Check out www.Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco.com, e-liquids for electronic cigarettes Get some Big Spirit with the options of heat extract, extra extract, 70/30 and your choice of nic content. Also get a bottle of Gold- cold or hear, 70/30 and your nic choice.

I smoked American Spirit yellow. If these two flavors were around when I quit, my endless search for flavors would have never began.

Or, if you like sweeter go to www.nickoticet.com and get H1N1. It's a NET with TA in it. A bit sweeter with a touch of cinnamon. It's also pre steeped.

Hell, if you can get all 3, do it!!!! Those are my main vapes.
