Welcome to the kayfun Lite club. I've got 3 and they are pretty much in use 100% of the time. The only time I don't use them is when drip-testing new juices.

I use 28 micros and organic cotton yarn for my builds (cotton yarn boiled for 20 minutes) and can do a swap of the wick in a couple minutes. The yarn helps to keep the thickness of the wick consistent as opposed to cutting or ripping strips off cotton balls.

The KFL should have come with a clear tank section. Did it get damaged? Wondering why Shat would not have included it with your package?

Dusty, when you change the wick, how do you thread the new wick into the existing coil? Is that easy enough? Do you also use the figure 8 shaped wick with the KFL?

Super easy to do with a microcoil, since the coil actually holds it's shape very well. I've had the same coil in there for around 2 months now. I just spin the end of the yarn into a point, slide it through the coil and leave tails about 1.5 cms on either end of the coil. I then flip the tails up, slide the chimney down and screw it on. I then trim the tails just a bit taller than the chimney section. Once that's done, I fold the tails down on either side of the coil and drip some juice into the juice well.

Screw everything back together. Fill up tank. Done!

Thanks. Yeah, a simple micro with 28ga is good enough that I don't feel the need to try any other builds. I'm pretty used to making the right size cotton wick easily, so no need for yarn. I just love how the vape is staying the same, even after taking multiple pulls in a row. Stays saturated, no fiddling around with dry pulls and no flooding. Cotton really holds a lot of juice and only sucks up what it needs. With the XC-116 it was a challenge keeping it even.

Not sure why the clear tank wasn't included. Either it was loss, broke, or forgotten. I definately want to pick one up soon though.

Ok, so apart from HHV Legend, Dark Horse, Huntsman and Allusions Smooth Criminal and Sahara and Halos Tribeca and Torque 56, what other ejuices are out there that have true tobacco flavor? HHV Legend is a favorite of mine, earthy with a hint of sweet. so I'm not looking so much for the Tribeca style of tobacco flavoring. NET types seem to taste best.

I keep hearing that Allusions is the Juggernaut of tobacco vapes but I don't know which of their products would be such. Any other suggestions from any vendor?

I have yet to try Huntsman and Sahara but they are in the vapemail so that's why I precluded them.

Thanks Dusty! I'm getting more and more tempted to try the FT 3.1 counterfeit...Soaking and cleaning the T2 coils after every 2 mLs of NETs started to take a toll on me here -- it feels like I'm running a mini laundromat :)

Huntsman will knock you off your feet, not because it's strong, but just because it's that good. :)

I wish I could get Ahlusion up here in Canada, but they don't ship out of the U.S. Shame really because there's a few there that I like.

Have you tried Mountain Oak Vapors? Their Southern Gentleman and Apache are amazing. Another strong contender is Naturallyextractedtobacco.com. A fairly new entry to the NET game, but with some really good offerings. Their description of what they offer are pretty spot on and they offer Pipe, Cigar and Cigarette type vapes. Worth a look see..

Two threads to look up if interested. The Kayfun Lite thread and the Micro Coil thread. Don't have the links on hand right now.. Sorry!

Edit - Adding thread info.

I have two mini PT2's. I don't have too much trouble with my coils anymore. I have about a dozen coils ready to swap on a heartbeat. The big difference that has made even the stock coils perform beter is cotton wicks. I use CVS sterile cotton. Once you get the hang of it and the right amount to use it's very, very quick to change the wick. Having multiple coils ready is even quicker. I just quick rinse the used coils and throw them in a ziplock till I get a chance to clean and re-wick them.

As my stock coils fail I re-build them. Those can work even better and last longer.

Thanks. I also do my cleaning once I have 5-6 used coils. That makes it easier. I thought about recoiling my T2 tanks. Then I decided, if I'm going to spend time on that I might as well do it with a better performing tank and with less hassles. The coils in these T2s are pretty fragile.

I'm about 600 posts into that KFL thread.. lots to go lol. Just looking for tips and tricks and all that. Everythings golden right now.. hope it stays that way lol. I'm going to try taking it with me in the super cold this weekend, see if the cotton can keep up. Bringing a backup just in case.

Unless you get colder than we do up here in Toronto, you'll be fine. We just went through a 2 day power outage just before Christmas, and the KFL kept on ticking along with cotton yarn. I've had it out and about in -20C (that's -4F for you 'mericans) many a time and it's never skipped a beat. My juices are in the 70/30 PG/VG range though, so if you're using 100%VG, YMMV!

As for tips and tricks, KISS. A simple microcoil with cotton for out and about is all you need. Never fails! Experiment with the fancy coils and wraps with your home setups.

Sweet, should be fine. Though it'll be -20F here on Sunday (not sure what that is in C, probably negative a million or something). I have high hopes though. If the juice is getting to thick to wick well in the cold I should notice the drop in flavor before the cotton burns. Than I can do a manual squonk lol.

I'm sorry but I'm going to post a very derailing question here real quick since you guys sound like experts. Does anyone own a vv nova? Do you know where I can just buy new wicks? I burnt a couple by accident and don't think I need to buy whole new heads and buying wicks would be cheaper but I can't find it anywhere online.
