FYI...Vaperite is celebrating it's grand opening of their retail store...August 18th online customers will enjoy free shipping from 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m....Would be a good time to sample their juices.

I received my samples yesterday. All passed the smell test...I couldn't wait so I've been sample tasting some....

That's good to know. Maybe I will give Vaperite a chance again...3rd time is a charm, right?

My vaperite shopping cart currently has a bunch of stuff in it, but is laying fallow until my HHV order arrives (tomorrow!) and you guys have made me aware of a few other vendors I *have* to try as well, though I guess there's not really any such thing as too much juice, and I've yet to get anything unvapable from VR, so I'll probably have to take advantage of free shipping day :)

Mr. Mann, If you do try vaperite again, make sure you try the perique, and if you like an ever so slightly sweet vape, the APV is a must-try. I still need to try the Batch 21, the #1, 777, clove and burley.

I feel silly saying this, but my first two attempts were with the same two juices. So, that really doesn't count much, right? That is just rubbing up against it. Next time, I will go much deeper.

p.s. None of the flavors you mentioned are the ones I tried, though I can't necessarily remember the ones I did try. I will know them when I re-visit the site though.

Well... I just tried gandalf and pirate booty from HHV -- and I like the underlying flavor but they have a STRONG flowery/perfume quality, which isn't really my thing. I can barely differentiate the gandalf and the pirates booty because the flowery top-note is so strong. I'm hoping that fades as it ages...

I can smell the same perfume quality in all the other bottles: huntsman, dark horse & dragon's fire, though I haven't tried to actually vape them yet.

So they'll be spending a day with the caps off, and then a few more days in the dark before I try them again.

I have read many several comments lately about Gandalf and the rest of the bunch of HHV's purity line that leave me a little baffled. I must say, it is almost refreshing to see that like everything else, it is all subjective. For anyone displeased with their HHV orders, the classifieds would be a good place to post them.

Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing. My favorite juice is one that seems to get mediocre reviews - I think it is perfect. I have faith in the HHV juice, read a lot about them and they sound right up my alley. Definitely not ready to put them in the classifieds. My only concern is that I read that they are usually really good without a steep.
I'm definitely not giving them a bad review, just my take.

Yeah, give those HHV juices a little time. They're all fairly similar, but differences will come out with time. In my experience, they seem pretty simple and straight forward at first, and the complexity comes out later. I felt like they were all good but a little too similar when I first got them because I was trying one HHV juice after the other, more or less unsteeped. Once they made it into my normal juice rotation, I started noticing the differences more. Ultimately they probably won't be to everyone's liking, but at either rate, they're a nice addition to the ever-growing list of NETs in general because they're doing something completely different from everyone else.

Good to have you back, man! No real parallel between you and this "judge" but you both speak truth...though you are much more tasteful! haha

Ahhh, thanks Mr. Mann! I take that as a huge compliment coming from you. Still, I wish I had the British accent... seems to carry more authority for some reason. Good to be back!

I wonder if it's because the flavor has hit Angel-Music status so darn fast that the batches being shipped out are brand spanking new, vs. once upon a time when HHV had a solid in-stock inventory that's had a chance to steep awhile. before the plebes (me) cottoned on to just how good this might be? I just ordered some Gandalf and Devil Dog but still most happy with my good ol' grungy El Toro cigarillo naturelle juice till they arrive, then the challenge will begin. I'd love to describe the E.T. but I'm a Brit and a female (but I like Hawaii weather better than Brit weather) so have no idea of how US pipe tobacco smells and tastes and I've not delved into pipe smoking or real cigars so it's going to be tough for me to provide an objective analysis. Will have to leave that to the experts.

Oh, don't worry about it. You can review however you want, as long as there is no hate (per the op's request)! I don't think they need a steep, but I have written many times that the flavors do change a bit. I went from being slightly okay with Dark Horse to LOVING it! Also, part of the steep occurs in your mind. What I mean is, the steep and subsequent smell tests and the occasional vape tends to familiarize one with the intricacies of the juice in a way that almost makes the language of it seem less foreign.

Juices that I think NEED to steep are Vermillion River's Premium line. Those juices literally transform after a month. BWB's RY4 was nasty to me at first vape and then hypnotized me after 3 weeks. The same with BWB's eJoker.

Definitely true about "steeping" in the mind and the taste buds. We shouldn't underestimate how much even something that stays relatively the same, can change in our perceiving of it... Especially since we're taking about a substance that is satisfying a fairly powerful drive, it's probably possible to grow to like almost anything that's not actually repulsive to us. Though there have been liquids I've adored instantly, and others that took a while to grow on me, and still others that did actually change quite a bit, just sitting there in the bottle, and still others that don't work as well in one device as they do in another.

I'm not ready to give up on HHV yet. I definitely don't dislike them, they are just very different from my existing favorites. I really do like the flavors, it's just hard for me to taste any subtlety, since I'm perceiving a bit of an overwhelming flavor, or at least that's the way it seems to me now... I may change my tune once I get a chance to fill up a tank and vape on some of these all day. I've only taken a few dozen puffs from a couple freshly-cleaned atomizers so far. And it sounds like letting them breathe for a few days might help.

It may just be that they taste so much different from what I already like that it might be a while before I can get into them. They're certainly not going to go to waste :)

I like the fact that they aren't too sweet, and I can tell there's a whole lot going on in there, a lot more than with the "plain" tobacco juices I already like.

Even if I did actively dislike them, I still wouldn't hate them. Life's too short to hate anything really.

What is it about tonight? I keep reading such thoughtful posts! Is the moon vaping or something? Vaping Moon! That sounds nice.

I sure hope some of you got a chance to get Devil Dog. Let me tell you, this Dog is not a dog to toy with. I love it when a vendor delivers as described. For all real tobacco lovers: if you like W2V but hate clogging attys, try this. Actually, I think this is an overall better vape than what I've tried (all of the NETs) from W2V. Saying that is not as much demeaning to W2V as it is HIGH PRAISE to AHLUSION!!!!!!!!

Oh, and the TH at 18 is a wallop!

My mom always said if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all...I recently read a review that left no stone unturned. It was very clear this person didn't like the juice. I guess each to their own but I enjoy the reviews most that are objective and polite...Ya can't please everyone...

It has calmed down around this sub-forum a lot over the past two months, because I used to read "reviews" that left me feeling like I wanted to leave the forum. We have to remember, there is no background check before you start posting, so there will inevitably and invariably be some that love to tear down and cause dark clouds to hover. This forum means a lot to me and many others and there is a place for negative reviews. All pertinent info is worth conveying, but there is an imaginary line that, when crossed, tends to be not very ECF like.

Can I make an exception to this rule for Blu's Cherry? Though it sells out, so I guess *somebody* likes it. (Anyway, it's not NET so not normally an issue unless, like me, your HHV got hung up in a post office runaround for a week and you got desperate-enough to go to a "regular" (what folks in SciFi fandom would call "mundane") store.)

NOOOO, PM one of us who like them!

I had trouble telling the difference, it almost seemed like Gandalf was the strongest and most-complex and the other 3 I tried were Gandalf with something missing.

The perfume, however, struck me as a very I-just-walked-into-a-tobaccanist's note. So that is one of the things I like about them. And since I still smoke I need strong flavors. I just got some GoodEjuice Natural Perique and I can tell that it is very complex, and I will probably love it starting a month or 2 AFTER I finally give up analogs, but for now my taste buds are still muted and I need something very distinctive to get off the stinkys. So I'm hoping Gandalf is one of the answers. It has just been brought forcefully to my attention that I need at least one alternate flavor for those days when I get the vaper-mutes that seems to come and go if one does not switch flavors.
