The thing is, and I don't mind pounding this drum, if a vendor doesn't say anything about the leaves they "use," then we are left to speculate. I imagine whoever is doing their (HHV) extraction is using more than just tobacco in the process, not just adding other flavors in the final mix. Look, it's one thing to say you're not going to tell your customers anything about the juice, but it is another to say that these "Purity" juices have nothing other than tobacco in the mix. (Yes, they say Gandalf, PB, DH, Huntsman, DF are "just" tobacco.) I know how much people love HHV, I installed many high signs myself, but only tobacco in these? That is simply NOT true.

I gotta agree, that's obviously not true.

By the way, where's my tracking number!? :p

(just kidding)

Agree with both of you. Having sampled those juices I cannot believe a tobacco extract could possibly be shaped in those ways. Huntsman? Maybe. But not Gandy or some of those others. Just cannot see it.

Once again, I would have no problem continuing to buy from them if they didn't say, "it's just tobacco." Mystery is one thing, dishonesty or misleading information is another.

Your belief is sound.

I have vendors that trust me enough to speak to me honestly than to have to deal with those that treat me like I am just some customer trying to steal their recipe, which should be noted, is a recipe, not just some leaves. I am not hiding my disdain for certain practices anymore.

Been vaping (Gej) Wild Turkey, (HHV) Oompah, (AHL) Blue Grass Burley and (W2V) Alcazar almost exclusively for the last 6 days or so. Gathered up some GeJ stuff that's been here for a few months and nearly empty. These are from what I would call the mild side of NET (well, maybe not the Perique)... Gawd I had almost forgotten just how great these really are:

Acadian Gold: Tangy and mildly sweet with Perique undertones and that signature GeJ silky smoothness. 10/10. Time to order more today.

Wrangler Light: GeJ calls this a cigarette vape but there is none of that burnt/combustible/ashtray taste here at all. This will not remind you of any cigarette you've ever smoked but has a flavor profile more remincent of the smell of fresh pack of cigarettes rather than the taste of an actual cigarette. Dry with just a hint of chocolate, same silky smoothness that I have come to expect from GeJ. Really nice change from all the sweeter stuff without getting into cigar/pipe/aromatic territory. I would have to say that the overall "feeling" is definately more cigarette-like than any other form of tobacco. 9/10. I will get this again but not today.

Natural Perique: This is the unmistakable flavor of unblended Perique. A must-have juice in my opinion. Slightly sweet, slightly peppery, with a dried fruit raisin-like richness. Silky smooth, almost creamy, the GeJ way. Even if unblended Perique is a bit too much for you full-on, try blending some with your favorite milder tobacco vape to add a whole 'nother level of depth and complexity. 10/10. Time to order more today.

Reading the descriptions at GeJ (which I've done A LOT of), I'm starting to think Wild Turkey or Acadian Gold would have been a better choice for me to start with than Vita Bella. VB has some kind of "exotic" flavor that distracts from the tobacco taste for me. Is it anise? Could I be tasting licorice? I dunno, gonna try it some more tonight.

I agree with you, Vick. I just got Wrangler Light yesterday (32 mg) and I could not believe how it had the best of ciagrettes without the worst of cigarettes. I can't believe I am saying that. I know you said you might not order WL again soon, but that flavor is being discontinued for (I believe) the extra ingredient no longer being available. It is good enough for me to reorder, if not just because I will not be able to anymore. Vic, have you tried OT #1? I fooled around and forgot to order AG! D'oh!.. Oh and lastly, Apple Cured is also very good. I have tried every juice in their House Brewed Line and would re-order each and every single one again.

BTW, I still can't get used to having an empty shirt pocket. There's been a box of Marlboros in that pocket for 40 years so I guess it's going to take some time. I mean, after 40 years, has there been anything closer to my heart?

You'll get used to it, it just takes a while.

After 14 months, I actually still reach in my pants pocket for a lighter once in a while if you can believe that.

Mr.Mann, what about Apple Cured from GeJ?

Apple Cured is fantastic. It is both tobacco and apple -- the two dance the tango. I can't believe it took me so long to try it. I would send you some but I got a 32 mg, so I am pretty sure that is way too high --> it is a 3 hitter quitter for me.

You might consider Patriot too if you haven't tried it, GT. I consider it mild, but then I consider all of GeJ's tobaccos to be on the mild side. I have yet to come across anyone who doesn't like Patriot. It's a nice, straight-forward pipe tobacco.

GJ4 is pretty outstanding by RY4 standards. I got this one a few months back, tried it after it steeped a couple of weeks, and thought 'meh, another RY4.' I tried it again a couple of weeks ago, and damn, something really woke up in there! Unfortunately all I can say at this point is that optimal steep time is somewhere between 2 weeks and 3 months!

Mr.Mann also said GJ4 needs a really good steep. That's one reason I'm thinking about going ahead and getting them (even though they weren't technically "next in line"), so I can try them before Christmas. :)

Is GJ4 the only one that needs that much steeping?

Is GJ4 the only one that needs that much steeping?

I might have considered waiting that long for a pretty lady once in my life. But a smoke juice?
