Tez, "too sweet" is not usually a problem for me LOL. I do love me a good dessert tobacco, even with just a little tobacco.
I had heard all these scary things about Perique but it is actually a very high-keyed and mild fruity flavour.
Hey Eleanor, have you read any of the "stories" (articles) on the site. There is so much I want to post here, but I will hold off for a little bit longer. There is info there that is right up your alley.
.Hey EleanorR and others who may know the answer,
What do you recommend as an adequate steeping time for VapeRite liquids? I've waited a couple of weeks but they are still a bit...weak. I don't want to bad-mouth them since they are a favourite, but their tobaccos don't seem all that "tobaccoey" to me.
I'm trying to hold off on my reviews of RY4 and VR4 because they are frankly not doing ANYTHING for me yet. RY4 is very standard and hardly different from Halo's Tribeca, and VR4 tastes like...VG with about a molecule's worth of caramelIt was recommended that I try this over on the RY4 thread because I expressed a desire for a really gooey caramel tobacco, something that put me in the mind of (don't laugh) the caramel topping on a McDonald's sundae

Pir123, your comment about tank-steeping got me thinking...I have often complained to myself that one of the drawbacks of Stardust-type clearomizers is their unfortunate tendency to "cook" the juice inside it, often burning it before it is fully vaped. Now I will turn that into an advantage, seeing if I can heat-steep the weaker VR liquids inside the clearomizer until they simmer into something a bit stronger.
Thanks for the idea! Now, where did I put those empty clearomizers...?
Yeah, and furthermore, smaller volumes of liquid should steep faster than larger volumes anyway. That is, if my hypothesis based on possible misinformation, a half-remembered chemistry class from high school, and my own imaginary understanding of the Law of Thermodynamics proves correct!

I can attest, though anecdotally, to this being true (at least in respect to smaller volumes of liquid steeping faster). It never made sense to me that I always seemed to really like small samples better than the 30 mL counterparts.
John, that's interesting about the Organic Tobacco. Regrettably I didn't get a sample of this one so it will have to wait for another day if I ever try to give VR another shot.

Hulamoon, I keep a P-touch labeler around for precisely the scenarios you describe. I label all my cartos. My brain is like a sieve and i can't keep track otherwise
I had vaped about 0.4mls of the VR4 (if the measuring markings on the side of the clearo are to be believed) before I started getting awful burnt hits. I changed the head and vaped another 0.2mls before it happened AGAIN.
That's IT. You are OUTTA HERE, VR4.
Friends, I have traveled this road as far as is required for objective-reviewer purposes. Now I'm just annoyed that I wasted two perfectly good clearomizers on this.
Weirdly though, Tezcatlipoca's nightmare Perique is still chugging away, tasting rather pleasant, I must say.![]()
