I used to be hooked on those exact three juices too, they were my favorite 'baccos. If they are using NET they really, really ought to publicize that better on their website. I would bet that most people have no clue. I didn't.
And I am 95% sure that they don't use tobacco absolute. As this thread's resident TA Loather I can taste a molecule of that stuff and am quite certain that I never noticed it in PS's juices.
Interesting question: Does PinkSpot use NETs in their tobacco juices?
Last fall, as part of our Up-Over/Down-Under International Exchange Program, scarfy sent me a care package chock full of 5ml sample bottles. Among them were PinkSpot RY8 and Swagger, as well as scarfy's lovely homemade Monte Cristo cigar extract. After getting the package, I reviewed RY8 for The Really Big RY4 Roundup thread (here's a link to the review: PinkSpot RY8 review). I felt that RY8 wa a citizen of the Vanilla Republic rather than RY4 Land---no caramel flavor---so I didn't include it on The Big RY4 List.
A moment ago I got out my bottles of RY8 and Swagger and atty-dripped them again to see what I might glean about the origin of their tobacco flavorings. No lightning bolts of cosmic revelation from on high appeared in the form of stone tablets with the words "Synthetic" or "NET" carved on them, so the results were, as expected, inconclusive: NET? Maybe, maybe not. Curiously, though, the mouthfeel of both juices did contain a certain indefinable resonance I associate with NETs, so perhaps that leans a little more toward the maybe side.
I agree with scarf: whatever I'm tasting is NOT Tobacco Absolute or Tobacco Extract. I don't loathe the dreaded "green slime" like scarfy does, but I too can taste TA/TE a mile away, and these juices don't contain them. Swagger and RY8 use either an NET base or a synthetic cleverly dressed-up to resemble an NET.
That said, both juices are firmly in the hybrid camp (with additional non-tobacco flavorings added during mixing) rather than the straighter tobacco approach. My palate does taste the tobacco elements of Swagger and RY8, but as ensemble players only, not starring roles.
