Second Impressions: Full Virginia Flake RY4 by MOV

Okay, for reals this time :D I've been vaping this RY4 for several hours, alternating with Pendragon a little bit. These juices from MOV I've been vaping fresh, taking off the seal and trying them. PenD and SunMorn both seemed ready to me, this one I feel needs to age and have a daily shaking for a bit. Not a negative of course since most of these made-to-order juices benefit from a steep. It's not the flavor that's the issue for me fresh, it's the balance. The flavor has been varying from almost no tobacco, mainly tobacco, and well balanced, while fresh PenD stays balanced. My guess is that since this one has added flavors in addition to the NET extract, it will take a bit to fully blend, like when people compare day old chili to properly steeped e-juice.

I enjoyed all three variations of flavor that happened, but I will enjoy it a lot more when it stays in the well-balanced mode, when it was most like an RY4. The caramel and vanilla play to me like I said before; rich, sweet, and delicious. Reminds me a lot of the flavor of caramel or kettle corn.

The tobacco I enjoy a lot, like the other ones from them. I don't know their extraction method, but like PenD it leaves an impression of mild to medium tobacco but with some clear notes that really rings as authentic tobacco to me. It's notes that no artificial tobaccos have, and it makes it really ring true as a NET RY4.

Switching between this and PenD, I found the tobacco to be at about the same strength, but the other flavor notes come on as stronger in the RY4 while with PenD they played more to shape the tobacco. From what I've read from the residential RY4 guru, that is how it should be in an RY4, with a balance that places the caramel and mild tobacco about even with a little less play for the vanilla. That creates a balance that should ring harmoniously as a single flavor that has the mind instantly say; RY4. On that they succeeded (to me), though one could argue the mild tobacco is being pushed a little bit pass what I would consider mild, but not much.

While Bill in the RY4 thread measures part of an RY4's success as how well it follows a thought-out formula for RY4-ness, I'm making the following statement on it as a NET: vaping side-by-side I like PenD better. I would have prefered the caramel and vanilla to take a back seat to the tobacco, to act as flavor shapers instead of playing as an equal. MOV played it right though, if they made what I want it would take away a lot of what makes it a successful RY4. I will keep this in mind after it steeps when I vape it. Overall, a very good NET to me that while great is still behind PenD and SunMorn.

Very good review man. Will probably try one myself.

Earlier today, I'm driving around shopping for flooring for my next job, vaping mindlessly and not paying attention when I get this horrible burnt smell! My mind immediately associates the smell and smoke (vapor) with dropping fire on the seat so I begin the frantic search all of us have done. Turns out the car ahead of me had an electrical problem. Felt like a dummy, but hey, no new hole in the upholstery!

Hmm, according to tracking my HHV order is suppose to be in Atlanta still and my Janty was suppose to be in my town yesterday. Color me suprised when my HHV order was in my mailbox but no Janty. My theiving mailman has odd taste in juices.

I do kind of wish it was my Chinese juice, had my mind set on vaping the original RY4 today. Probably crack into the Sweet Swish for some artificial tobacco action.

Hey Hulamoon, tried everything with the litterbox and Black Bean (the kitty) herself is okay. Definitely a behavioral thing. We're going to try Cat Attract for the litter and a bottle of cat pheromones for the apartment. Hope it works!

OT sorry guys - Does kitty have a litter box? And if so, is it clay litter? Sometimes they start going about the house when their box isn't quite right - or more likely they have a urinary tract infection and can't go. Their tanks are full and nowt's coming out. Very miserable. If there is a clay box maybe check it to see if theres a lot of spotting, instead of clumping going on. Then its vet time for some comfort relief and antibiotics.

And has anyone tried Dekang tobacco flavors? The price is really attracting me to these juices. They seem to have quite a few interesting tobacco flavors but I don't think I could trust them to be NETs, can I?

Cheers!

Being fairly new to vaping and a local to Vaperite, I am really liking their NET Tobacco. A good TH and, to me, a strong tobacco flavor that reminds me of a cigarette. Not anything like a pipe tobacco. I have started stocking up on it. HHV Dark Horse is another that I will be trying. Using an eGo 900Mah, HHV Mop Head and Redux clearomizers at 2.4ohm.

I post this without having read the 1000+ something pages of comments.
Vaperite, Want2vape, and Goodejuice extract their own... at least for some of their tobacco juices. There may be others.

I received a free sample of Dekang Tobacco several weeks ago. At first it did not seem too bad but then it started tasting very chemical to me. I threw most of it away. That is just what I think about Dekang.

Pre-filled cartos contain Chinese juices, a lot of them Dekang, so I'm sure I've tried them in my early vaping days of tobacco filled cartos with words like "tobacco", "cowboy", "USA mix", etc on them. Had no idea at the time where the juices were from, so can't conjure up an idea of what Dekang tobacco flavors specifically taste like. They where mostly chemically tasting and odd on my pallet. Going from a smoker to Dekang (or any mass produced Chinese eliquid) is doable, but haven't seen people go from mixed-to-order, mom-and-pop American vendors to mass produced juices and loving them.

Nope, definately not NETs, but they are cheap enough to try to see if they work for you. Keep your expectations very low and you may even like them lol.

Jerms, MOV RY4 well steeped, seems like it has gotten stronger over time. More tobacco, a little less sweet.

I've been trying MVJ NETs the last couple of days. Steeped almost 2 weeks. While a couple of them are good, I don't think I want to fill up a 5 ml carto with them so I'm up for a trade or will pay forward. Also have 3 samples from QNJ. All are 12 mg, PM me if interested.

I started with the Choice 7's kit and bought a 30ml bottle of their tobacco juice. I actually like their tobacco flavor though it is $29 on their site. They claim to make their e-liquids in the USA. I still buy it but not from the web site. Several local shops have it for $22 for 30ml.

Good point. My first sentence should have been they USED to be all Chinese juices in the pre-fills. Now companies like Blu and others are using American juices.

First impressions: Dragon's Fire from HHV

From what I remember being said, HHVs NETs should be given at least a week to bloom, but I was curious to try one now. Fresh from the mailbox, I can't say I'm too impressed, but do find a lot to like about it and lot's of potential from steeping. At 15mg (l like that they offer this level) it's smooth, highly vapable, and has enough TH that is comparable to 18mg. I trust when I vape this that the nic sold is accurate, which I can say about Ahl and HoL but some vendors make me wonder.

First couple vapes felt too sweet, but I quickly adjusted and for several hours later I've felt it's about right. It's in the heavy sweet category of caramel or honey. I actually get notes of both those. It's a very common type of sweetness in tobacco juices for a good reason, it works well with tobacco and many like it. In this one it's well done and a little unique, but not something that grabs my attention too much. I hope, like Smooth Criminal with a similar type of sweetness fresh, it lessens with age to allow the tobacco notes to come through better.

The tobacco notes are where it's lacking for me fresh. I really hope it comes through stronger with time and becomes more complex. It's pretty mild tobacco, with some of the cigarette notes Wrangler Light from GeJ has. There's some slight smoky notes on the exhale and some very slight, almost undetectable grassy notes. These notes took a while for me to detect, but it gives me hope that it's more complex than it seems and the complexity will show itself more later. Even if it doesn't change with age, it's still highly vapable, just underwhelming, but I think it will.

Hi all. New to this thread but Mr Mann says I should get my tobacco fix here. Just picked up his juice lot. Looks like I got some good vapes coming. He says you're all cool by the way!

Cool! And welcome! He let that lot go for cheap. You'll get a bunch of already steeped, top of the line NETs. Have you vaped naturally extracted tobaccos before or are you diving in head first?

I agree about Dragons Fire Jerms. I've had some of this for about a month now in 12mg from sampler and I get pretty much the same impressions you do. I don't know if my taste buds are dead but it seems like the HHV I've tried all taste pretty close to the same. I've tried Pirates, Legend, DF, and they all seem to taste mocha/caramel/honey to me. Never really develop a nice tobacco flavor. Legend seems to get the closet with age but I would take Bella Vallente over any of this in a heartbeat. Take this with a grain of salt as I'm still a newbie to this!

Have a try of Huntsman - but I'll say right now you have a stellar lineup from Mr. Mann!
