I read the whole thing up to my first post before ever posting and all of it since! Parts I've read more than once, quite a ride! I'm not sure I wouldn't still be smoking if I hadn't found this thread.

It's interesting to follow the progression each of us has experienced. Reading the first posts many of us made is actually comical!

I need to go back through both my HHV e-juices and GeJ as well... The HHV's are now coming up to 3 weeks old and the GeJ's are just at 2 weeks.

I'd also have to agree that GeJ's Natural Perique wasn't as complex ( or if you wish, funky ) as I had hoped, but I still enjoyed it alot and that was right out of the mailbox.

And one other thing... I don't smoke e-liquids, I vape them... no fire is involved :D

A month shouldn't be a problem... I didn't even notice it had been two weeks until I checked just now...

What I can't wait for is to see how the MVJ ends up steeping into... They are the flavor notes I've had that were closest to tasting like the tobacco in my cigarettes... Once I decide on one of those, I'll order up a batch with menthol added to see if I can get an ADV out of it. Then I can focus on the others more and find the ones that have more complex flavors for the simple pleasure of their flavor.

It's sort of odd to me in a way... I'm actually looking for something less interesting flavor-wise right now so I can finally find something to get off cigarettes with. Once there, I can finally relax a bit and enjoy the many others I've now found and liked but didn't "do it for me" so to speak.

Don't expect NP to get too funky though. It was my first funky vape, and I remember it getting really funky after a couple months, but it sound like most are reporting it doesn't get as strong as I remember. It should at least be pretty noticable.

I was able to vape My Hero for a few hours last night, the longest I've vaped it without the taste starting to fade. It doesn't really get more complex or taste different with age, but it does get stronger and richer. It was really subtle to me after a couple weeks but since it's been a pretty good medium strength tobacco.

If the GeJ NP doesn't get much more funky... so be it. It's still a good tasting vape. I've also got HBV's tabac de Perique which is certainly funky and interesting to vape with the only down side being that it gunks a coil up in no time so it's an RBA only one if I don't want to always be working hard at cleaning coils.

On another direction... I wonder how I will end up going with some that on first taste I felt were not my style... Dark Horse and Huntsman having grassy note that I've yet to acquire a taste for. On the darker stuff... W2V's Pure Smoke and Paris as well as MOV's Southern Gentleman and Apache... I believe it's the lataka and oriental tobaccos that turned me off... Either those will need to change to something else, or I will need to acquire a taste for them. Since they weren't steeped when I tried them... it could still go either way.

If you're not liking that Latakia/oriental flavor I'd avoid Ahlusion Devil Dog, W2V London, and W2V Louisville. Latakia/oriental tobaccos are definitely love it or hate it. I like them because of smoking pipe tobaccos that were blended with them.

Thanks for that...

I was already aware of Devil Dog and the other Vapenstein vapes. In fact, I had planned on skipping all of the Vapenstein's until I had read Paris' description. Oh well... I couldn't help myself. At present, I'm planning on avoiding most of the aromatics until later when I have more time to be adventurous. Another oddity as such... Paris, while not one I had a preference for ( unsteeped at least ) in it's flavor... was the most satisfying either physically or psychologically. That is one reason I've switched up and tried the heavier VG ratio's

First impressions: The "Blond" from W2V

This one is a lot like CI Cigar in that it has the incense type taste that just won't work for a lot of people. Blond is more flowery and lacks the pine note of CI. I like this one for a lot of same reasons as CI; unique, complex, holds it's flavor for a long session, perfect juice to mix things up a bit. After vaping it for a bit and switching to CI I liked CI a little better, mainly for the tasty pine note, but I can see my preference changing because they're both enjoyable in about the same way and both really well done. I'll reorder these, but one or the other on hand at a time will be enough for me.

Since Patriot got some love today, thought I would add some for Acadian Gold. AG doesn't seem to make it into a lot of initial GeJ orders but for anyone looking for a smooth pipe tobacco it should. Milder than Patriot, this blend of Perique, Burley, and flue cured gold leaf is flavorful and very good. After testing many NETs in the last 3 months and trying to narrow the field down a bit, I have found I prefer tobacco flavored with.......tobacco! Perique and/or Latakia blends whether in your face or subtle additions add depth, flavor, complexity, and interest. While on the subtler side, AG fits nicely.
I'm also a fan of Acadian Gold. Similar to Wild Turkey in that it's just a smooth flavorful blend of Tobaccos without added non-tobacco flavors. They are both great alone but they also lend themselves well to mixing your own flavor concoctions.
I'm vaping Old Patriot today, myself, after all the love shone for the new. This 6 month old bottle with 5ml left has steadily gotten better. I have a 30ml 4 month old bottle at 18mg unopened if anyone is interested in sampling some. I'm curious about the new Patriot and Apple Cured. Call me! :)

There have been a few samples I tried that have a very pipe tobacco flavor and aroma. Really not bad but just not what I want at this time. I too never smoked anything but cigarettes. I won't mention the early 70's.
Hi ckn. Most of us here had little experience outside of cigarettes. It's interesting what you might end up liking when you get past the burning taste of analogs. I smoked a pipe maybe 10 times in my life, now I enjoy pipe tobacco vapes and an epipe is definitely in my future.

NETs come in a lot of varieties; pipe, cigar, fruit/tobacco, dessertish, RY4, etc. The only cig ones I can think of is Wrangler Light from GeJ and M Type from TPR. There's a menthol cig NET at TPR too but I forget what it's called. Paris from W2V is meant to be a European cig, but that's a different monster than American cigs.
