I quick solution without having to open it may be canned air spray. Or some Deoxit spray.
It's a momentary switch right under the button. If you feel the detente action, then it could be something else. Is it still sensing the atomizer and showing the true ohms?
I have no idea what you just said, but it sounds important lol. I will have to google momentary switch and detente unless you mind dumbing it down for me.
Yeah still recognizing the atty and showing the ohms.

Sorry. What I meant is that the switch is a sealed button right below the button you push. Not much you're going to be able to do about that unless it's just not "seeing" the atty screwed on. The Vamos are pretty notorious for the wiring solders coming loose from the contact points. It would be pretty obvious if that was the case.
Today my VAMO button went goofy. Only activating half the time, might have gotten juice in there. Posted for help in the VAMO section but no takers yet. This sucks, it's my only APV, should have had a back-up by now. Really hoping for an easy fix. Any ideas here?

Yep, the almighty ProVari. It's a tank. Speaking of tanks, man, yours is a bit overfilled...![]()
Just looks that way TB. Long time no talk. Nice to see you.![]()
Jerms, I have a VAMO too. Long story short, I purchased a Lavatube and the pulse width modulation was squirrely on it. Burnt everything. So I returned it in exchange for a VAMO. Got the VAMO and the left button didn't work. Sent it back for an exact exchange. The new VAMO has been working splendidly so far and I have been very happy with it. However, it doesn't have a lot of miles on it. I have heard of quality issues with the VAMO despite it's robust build.
The Vamo I have can be kind of squirrely at times. It depends on how much voltage is left in the battery (or batteries) or what the chipset sees. I normally run it in 18350 mode, which could have something to do with it. I'm a bit skeptical that the different sections of the tube and the end cap contact properly at times. I do have an updated spring which has helped. The Vamo will put out a lot less power once in a while when the battery reading is 3.5v or less. I think 3.3v is the designed cut-off.
My VAMO sucks azz, to be honest. Is it turning off when you're pressing the button? Or it it staying on, but just not firing?
