First impressions: Red Pirate by Want2Vape

The tobacco used to make Red Pirate is Red Man chewing tobacco. I didn't know anything about chewing tobacco so I gave it a google. I couldn't find the specific ingredients for Red Man, but learned a little about chewing tobacco. The leaf used is dark air tobacco. It's air cured like the lighter colored Burley, and has large, almost oily leaves, and is also used as cigar and pipe tobacco. The "scraps" or loose leaf dark air tobacco is cased with sugar, heavy syrups like corn or molasses, licorice, and other flavors to make chewing tobacco.

Those ingredients sounds like a good atty clogger, and this juice is. By far the dirtiest of the premium tobaccos from W2V. After a ml my silica wick was mud and my coil needed a dry burn, but flavor was affected even before that. If the Vapensteins are as bad or worse than this, I'm not really interested. The other premiums weren't bad enough to be an issue for me.

Flavor-wise it's pretty good. Pretty smooth and deep with some nice sweetness. I wasn't crazy for it but I do enjoy it enough to finish the bottles. The only part of the flavor I don't like is just mental, it does in fact taste like Red Man and it makes me think of chaw spit.

All-in-all, I'm impressed with the W2V tobaccos and will re-order a few. For the premium line I would list from fave to least as 1. CI Cigar 2. Blond 3. Coffee-Infused 4. Alcazar 5. Red Pirate, and I also really, really like PURE "Smoke".

After last year's splurge on BWB, Vaperite and Alien Visions that stopped me dead in my tracks for ordering for a year, I have now put in orders with Heather's Heavenly Vapes, Goodejuice and Want2Vape. Can't wait!

Good luck Anthony. Take your time with those juices. Most of them will need a good steep. Your patience will pay off. Let us know how it works out for you.

On a personal note:

Sometimes when I post, I ask myself if there is any real value to it. Well, today I realized that persistence will reveal any value if it is any there. And while I am not saying that it was solely me that woke the dead...Damn! A ghost emerged and I was there to witness it. That felt awesome and valuable to be in that ring.

That was pretty cool! Just got done reading it all;) A lot f good info!

Thanks Bronze. I've still get plenty of the old stock left and my Aroma-ejuice stuff to keep me going. I am used to allowing juices to steep. BWB is in the same ballpark. It took a good 3-4 weeks before it was vapable. Being in Australia means that my juices are half steeped by the time they get to me. 10,000 m above sea level seems to assist in juice steeping.

I had attempted to put in an order with Mountain Oak Vapor as well and had gotten all the way to the check out page but the site declined my credit card transaction. Should I ditch the order or are their juices worth trying to figure out how to complete the transaction?

We had another Aussie recently who ran into the same issue with MOV. I've heard both good and bad about MOV. I never had it myself. I think your GeJ, HHV, W2V are a good start. I can recommend Quick nic Juice (QnJ) however...if you're insistent on getting more. Look at their Grandpa's Nightcap, Habana Daydream, and they have two, RY4's among others. Not sure if you will have shipping problems with QnJ or not.

Many like Ahlusion as well (not my kind of thing though). But they are popular. Again, not sure if they go to RooLand or not.

Man, I actually got some Boba's now! I can see myself eventually having a playlist that is as diverse as possible (I am getting there). However, the funny thing is that I am actually turned off by some NETs more than some synthetics. IMO some NETs are just home-brews that are the equivalent to mix-n-shake regular liquid vendors like ECblend or the **** **** (LOL). I don't want or need crock-pot juice or simple DIY juice. My criteria for buying pre-made juices is pretty much the level of difficulty, and taste of course, that went into making it, or that would have to go into making it for a DIYer or home brewer (I will likely do my own DIY with Mom and Pops concentrates, or get someone else to do them for me that already has the set-up). Scarf-Ace's home-brews are where I would turn if I wanted home-brew NETs.

So Boba's is synthetic. Synthetic what. . .oatmeal?

How does one do that?

Personally, I believe in sampling, I rarely listen to other people's opinions.

Well, you find reviewers you largely agree with -- this is a trial-and-error process -- then you read what they have to say about something carefully, and based on past history you judge whether it seems likely that you will agree them again and either like or dislike the item in question. So if you agree with the reviewer 75% of the time over a stretch of time, you'll probably agree with him in the future. Most people don't have the time or money to sample everything, and must find shortcuts.

You may want to actually read the thread before commenting.. the subject you just brought up has been covered here already before... I believe GT even discussed what you are now suggesting even.

This is a big thread but the info it contains for those interested in actual tobacco derived/flavored e-juices is invaluable. There are times that the discussions were pretty heated in whether a type of extraction should be included in the discussion ( ie Tobacco Absolute or TA and Tobacco Extract or TE as examples ) or not... some pretty cool subjects are covered IMO
