Looking for some suggestions as to what I should order in my HHV sampler pack. I have read so many posts this morning, that I have a headache...LOL. I like real tobacco based flavors with something more. I don't know how to describe what I want. I like the RY4's and plan on trying the 555, but I do not like the flavors that do not taste like tobacco at all, like the fruity or candy juices. I would also like just a good clean tobacco flavor to try. One without other flavors in it. I am open to any suggestions, but I do plan on going with HHV for this order. I appreciate your help and I am really happy I found this forum!

Based on what you said, I would suggest the following:

Huntsman (Raw.. scary!)
Darkhorse (Smooth, dry, rich.. very much like Halo's Tribeca)
Dragons Fire (My number one favourite)
Heavenly Army (I get a cocoa with tobacco from this)
Pirates Booty (You like Rum? get it!)

Note: Typed message but forgot to "post".

HHV has a 555?! You got me mate.. you sure you've not got your vendors a bit mixed up? I vaguely remember chatter about a possible 555 in the works, but didn't know of anything in production yet.

My Mountain Oak Vapors order finally decided to show up.. Southern Gentleman, Sunday Morning and Pendragon will begin steeping this evening.

So, I gotta ask you experts something. Do I have to just give up the hope that I could crack open a bottle of a new NET juice.. and go MMmmmmm I love how that smells, I bet it will taste even better?!

My reason for asking is that every NET that I've tried so far, smells slightly funky at first, and then slowly develops over time.. and as far as taste, they usually taste like crap at first and then bloom to just beautiful juices.

Is that the norm? or am I off on a weird tangent again?!

I believe I've read that Sunday Morning is good out of the mailbox and gets better later... I haven't tried it yet though. I have tried Pendragon and I know it is fine right off the bat. Southern Gentleman has Lataka in it and smooths out and mellows more after a steep...

For those interested. The silica wick offered by GeJ described as braided is indeed the high temp braided wick thought to be superior to standard silica wick. I would recommend the 1.5 mm over the 3 mm as the larger wick is too big for a standard coil wrap in an Igo-L type mod. Although you could probably get by if it is wet.

Also, I received a bottle each of Patriot, Vita Bella and Bull Durham. Any tips on steeping? Or are they good to go right out of the mail?

I'm a bit ticked off at the way the juice was shipped, being just thrown in the mailer with everything else, no plastic bag. The Vita Bella bottle cap cracked and it lost about 2 ml. Luckily the wick was in a plastic baggie but I also got a battery that was soaked and now I'm not sure it's safe to use. When are vendors going to learn that a plastic bag is cheaper than replacing damaged items?

How familiar are you with nets, Boomer? Waiting to hear your first thoughts on Patriot and Vita Bella.. :pop:

Let's see...

I "get" what you are saying, but I think, like the taste of NETs being acquired, the smell is, too.

Personally, I love the way Patriot, Fire Cured, Blue Grass Burley, Vurley, and many other NETs smell (I think HHV has some really pleasantly fragrant NETs). I cannot say for sure that I have always thought this, at least in general, but I do now like the aroma of many. Maybe some of GeJ's more funky bunch, DD, and the Kuba Kubas throw me for a loop, but it is what it is.

I wrote a post somewhere here about how the nose of NETs can really throw the vaper for a loop. I have a difficult time with, maybe not the off smelling ones, but the NETs that can seem to have no smell, but yet have a hefty amount of flavor. That one always puzzles me.

My vote (as worthless as it is) says it's the norm. :)

Anthony,

If it is a NET, QnJ will have it in their description. I know Grandpa's Nightcap, Habana Daydream, Fired in Georgia, Kuba Kuba, ouR why qu4tro, and Proudest Monkey, are all NETS.

Grandpa's Nightcap is a slightly sweet pipe flavor. Habana is a mild cigar, Georgia is a peach, Kuba Kuba is men's cologne (not my thing), then an RY4 and a banana juice.

Funny, Kuba Kuba is one of my favorites of QnJ, though that changes frequently. To me, Kuba is like a rum or bourbon dipped cigar, and I enjoy that as it turns out.
