For those interested. The silica wick offered by GeJ described as braided is indeed the high temp braided wick thought to be superior to standard silica wick. I would recommend the 1.5 mm over the 3 mm as the larger wick is too big for a standard coil wrap in an Igo-L type mod. Although you could probably get by if it is wet.

Also, I received a bottle each of Patriot, Vita Bella and Bull Durham. Any tips on steeping? Or are they good to go right out of the mail?

I'm a bit ticked off at the way the juice was shipped, being just thrown in the mailer with everything else, no plastic bag. The Vita Bella bottle cap cracked and it lost about 2 ml. Luckily the wick was in a plastic baggie but I also got a battery that was soaked and now I'm not sure it's safe to use. When are vendors going to learn that a plastic bag is cheaper than replacing damaged items?

I think it is safe to say that Vita Bella changes flavors dramatically over time. So I can't answer your question as to what proper steeping time is needed for Vita Bella. I don't know which flavor you would like the most. I can vape it after a couple months but it doesn't hit its peak until 4+ months for me. Starts out as a raw tobacco head exploder. Then it enters a strong vanilla flavor. Then a very pleasant, slightly sweet nectar that is very good IMO. Try it now and once a month until it gives you a vapegasm.

Funny, Kuba Kuba is one of my favorites of QnJ, though that changes frequently. To me, Kuba is like a rum or bourbon dipped cigar, and I enjoy that as it turns out.

The very considerate Scarfy sent me some W2V Kuba Kuba (I since sent it on to Bivie who seems to enjoy it more than I). It reminded me of my father's cologne. Not a good fit for me and enough to scare me off of QnJ's Kuba Kuba because I heard their version described in the exact same way. I guess I'm just not a Kuba Kuba enthusiast. But, to each their own. I will say with certainty, Kuba Kuba is unique.

Mine tasted good after one month, although it's better as it ages.

I don't mean to come off like it was bad on the front end, it wasn't, it just wasn't anything that made me go YUM! The transformation with a long steep was pretty amazing though. I've never had another juice that changed that much.

Well I guess I'll let them steep for a bit. I am however, going to crack open the Rogue, Country Squire and Wicked Wench I've had steeping and I'll report on them soon. I have recently been vaping a W2V 10 pack sampler as well as HHV Legend, Huntsman, Shadow and Dark Horse. The Huntsman was very good, unique to my palette. The others weren't that impressive IMHO. W2V's Blonde is outstanding as was the CI Cigar, Analog Mild, Real Smoke and Alcazar.

Next up I'm thinking of making a few small amounts of NETs from Cigars and Pipe Tobaccos. Acid Blondie's are $4, no big gamble there.

How familiar are you with nets, Boomer? Waiting to hear your first thoughts on Patriot and Vita Bella.. :pop:

I've had the Kuba Kuba from both Want2Vape and QuickNic. They shared a similar flavor profile, which was not pleasing to my palate. Not dreadful, just sort of odd---the bad version of unique. KK ranks as my least favorite NET from either vendor, w2v or QnJ. Kind of a shame, since the name itself sounds so yummy.

Has anyone else had the honor of trying scarf's "Nougat Burley Cavendish"? I'm dripping some for the first time and I'm having a real hard time trying to describe the taste. I'm a Cavendish fan anyway, and this is pretty nice. The tobacco is light and it's got a real candy like finish.

scarf continues to give me hope that if the FDA manages to screw us we'll all have an alternate plan of action.

You're not likely to find much that tastes like a cigarette.
not a cig, just a decent tobacco flavored juice. something better than Halo Prime 15. this is the Natural Tobbacco thread, right? all i hear is people going on about ice cream, chocolate, and dirty pipe flavors. i want the best tobacco flavor.

I haven't got to mine yet GT. I'm still nursing the The Plume Room's Candied Cavendish she sent me. Can't wait to try the nougat. After all, we like 80% of the same stuff. :D

Most tobacco juices are going to be pipe and cigar tobaccos. It's really hard to replicate cigarettes without the burning paper taste.

For straight up tobaccos, Goodejuice House Brewed line is a good entry point.

Taste in in the buds of the beholder. But I think I get what you want. Consider some of these..

Heather's Heavenly Vapes: Huntsman, Dark Horse
Goodejuice: Patriot
Quick nic Juice: Habana Daydream, Grandpa's Night Cap

I'm sure others will come up behind me. As for the Prime 15, my guess is you could point to something in the phone book that would be better...based on what I have heard.

Damn! I want to try Mountain Oak but they have not responded to my email regarding my credit card decline issue. They must be busy to be knocking back my business when I put in an order for $130 worth of stock.

I believe I've read that Sunday Morning is good out of the mailbox and gets better later... I haven't tried it yet though. I have tried Pendragon and I know it is fine right off the bat. Southern Gentleman has Lataka in it and smooths out and mellows more after a steep...

You'd think they jump on that! I really like Mountain Oaks NETs and think they will be worth the hassle for you. You might try a PM to LaDean (on the MOV supplier thread). It's actually Brandy (female) who reads and responds.

I didn't think that at all. One month was all I could stand to wait.

So I've been thinking of switching things up for my "on-the-go" vaping. For years I've used cartos for taking to work and when out and about because of the ease of use and pocket-ability. I like to drip the good stuff at home so I mainly use mints/menthols in my cartos. Sure they would taste better dripping, but I'll never know since I don't drip them. I'll also use cartos to use up juices I don't like so much. From experience in choosing juices the amount I don't care for has been really small for a while, so it's mainly mints/menthols out of the home.

I'm not tired of that, but it is fun to switch things up. I still have about 20ml of Sleighride for carto use. Here's my plan for after that.. Gonna get a big bottle of unflavored nic, probably the best thing to run through cartos for longevity. I'll use that to make smaller bottles with about 5%-10% of a strong tobacco NET to add a little flavor. I figure using NETs that use common cig tobaccos like Buley, Turkish, and Virginia will give the unflavored a hint of real tobacco flavor. Another benifit is it will probably be very close to an actual cig experience, having just a hint of quality tobacco flavor, and when people show an interest and want to try a vape it could give them a positive impression.

Bronze, that was funny as hell!

That is cool that they posted it. I respect what Steve is doing. It's easy to say you got an analysis, but to post it is to show it! However, I would really like to see the same analysis on the NETs, but maybe next time. Hey Jerms, speaking of Steve, did you ever do that one thing? I talked to him already and he knew what was up. If you did already, holler at me with your impressions.

I'm still using mega cartos for work and out and about. I've had much better luck with the megas than anything smaller and some NETs actually perform very well in them. Some of the gunkier juices slowly choke the life out of the carto and by about 10 or 12 ml they're shot.

You convinced me to try RBAs. Have 2 in the mail as well as mesh and wire. Guess I'll find out if an old man with thick glasses can make that work!

Saw that on Mountain Oaks site. Only one I've seen on any site.
