All over the place
at last my HHV (and my first dip into NETS) arrive after a long long journey.
I ordered serendipity, legend and huntsman. it was sent on march 20 to a san diego ca address I was going to be staying for the week but the mailman thought the house was vacant so was returned. after paying extra delivery it was sent to me back to mexico where I'm from but I somehow messed up the house number so I had to get a new number to put it until the mailman arrived and ! week ago i received it! I was really exited and thought that the long journey had some steeping effects.
at first I tried huntsman, the first few vapes where good but then became nauseating and too much perfumey.. then tried serendipity with the same outcome.
the have been sitting for a week now (with 2 nights caps off) and still feel the same as the first day.
do they need more steeping? or am I not the NET kind of guy (please tell me the fist one!!!)?

There's something here that MAY be a concern. The long travel times to California from Atlanta and back to Atlanta; from Atlanta to Mexico; back to Atlanta, and then back to Mexico? That allowed for A LOT of exposure to less than recommended temperatures. I may be assuming here, but I'd like to think those juices got HOT!

I received a juice, NLV's GOLD, from Hulamoon (from Hawaii) and I was surprised to find out that she didn't like the juice. Well, when I got it, the juice was really dark and the favor was bad, and I do mean bad! All the signs that I could detect were from a juice that had been overly exposed to heat.

I don't know if this is what happened, but it is quite possible that those juices got cooked. Could you take a picture of them? I can't find the picture of Hula's Gold, but it was at least 3 shades darker than it was supposed to be and it had an acrid taste to it.

Wait Mann, are you saying there's places that are getting above 40 degrees F? I refuse to believe it. Since I'm going through the hell of a winter that never ends in Fargo, I choose to believe the rest of the world is going through the same thing. I may start a thread.. what do you like to vape while shoveling snow in the middle of April?

Hmm..maybe not. Those actually look lighter than the last ones I had, but my Gandalf (aka Legend) was 100% VG and the other was still higher VG (but both mine and yours are way darker than they used to be when HHV first hit the scene.) Someone who vapes HHV frequently should be able to chime in...

I think this is just a case of the juices not working for you. Maybe check back with them in awhile.

Indeedy, I enjoyed that one as well. Can you place what flavor the "candy" part of it tastes like?

Not yet, just got it today, although that's an interesting question that I was trying to answer myself, the only thing I can say about it is that it has a 'familiarity' to it, if that makes any sense, really groovin on the burley as well, my first NET with a burley and it transfers well into a fine vape! a warm and earthy type of baccy.

Well, if you figure it out let me know, cause I never did lol. Like you say, it's familiar. Kind of a fruit type of sweet, but couldn't peg a specific one. Pretty interesting juice. The tobacco was more present than in Candied Cavendish. I prefered Burley & Candy until the banana in CC started morphing and it took the lead.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to taste how these develop as they steep...I also got 30ml of the Candied Cavendish and like that almost as much...plus they threw in 10ml. of the Creamy Chai Latte, haven't tried it yet but it smells delicious.

I do mostly DIY, but have not come across a decent tobacco, esp. of course a NET so I've been buying my baccy juices and enjoying them....will eventualy be trying some HHV, but TPR will certainly get another order or two from me....esp. when they get the Honey Fig back in stock :)

It's my first order from them so, I went with the sampler and picked up as many as I could. I figured I'd go after their coffee flavors as well so - the Blond, Analog Mild, Morley, Red Pirate, CI Cigar, Alcazar, Smokey Clove, Campfire Coffee, Creamy Espresso, 555, plus 3 Vapenstein (London, Louisville, and Paris).

I am fairly sure I wont like the creamy espresso or 555 but, I needed a couple to fill the sampler and I figured I'd give them a go.

Will try a few tonight then let them steep for a bit...

Cant wait to get home :)
That is quite the ambitious order from W2V. I really hope you find some in there you like. However if you don't.......... What Jerms said!

Well, it's clear that they need more steeping... I don't think 4 hours will cover it :)

However, here goes anyway (lite version - I'll post more once they have steeped and make it more like a real review):

Overall, the realism in the W2V flavors is very high. Regardless of my personal taste preferences, I am pleased with the overall composition. I am including the coffee flavors here just because i tasted them tonight and they are in my notes

London - very peat heavy. Reminds me of aftertaste of a Islay scotch. I can taste the leaves and get the richness of the overall flavor - bit of smoke/campfire on the back end. looking forward to it opening up and the peat-iness dropping a bit.

Paris - Initially, way too much peat and smoke. I get the leathery taste that has been commented before. Not sure about this one...

Louiville - its like a grassier version of London. less peat than Paris but, it is still upfront. little smoother overall as well. overall, nice composition

Coffee Infused Cigar - the coffee is muted almost non existent at the moment. I expect that will change once it opens up. Definitely earthy with a hint of grassy texture.

Alcazar - I've had cigars that taste exactly like this. very impressed. cant wait for it to steep

Morley - Not bad but, nothing earth shattering. There is a sharpness that I suspect will go away once it opens. There are hints of flavors that I know but cant quite put my finger on.

Analog Mild - heavy perfume. This is the first time I've had juice with floral overtones - it almost tastes of rose hips but, not quite. Hoping the tobacco flavors come out as it steeps

Blond - another that is very close if not exact to cigars I've had before. Very earthy, moderate grassiness, hint of peat but, not nearly as much as London or Louisville. This will be strange but, the exhale tastes just like a freshly mowed lawn smells... if that makes any sense.

Red Pirate - more of a 'natural' cigarette flavor similar to a Nat Sherman but with a bit more smoke/campfire. We'll see how it opens up.

555.5 - This one is strange to me... it's definitely a 555 but, with floral notes. The floral is very strong at the moment but i still get light bits of the other more standard 555 flavors.

Campfire Coffee - yep. tastes like coffee brewed on the campfire. it's one of the better coffees I've had and the smoke isnt too overpowering

Pure Smoke - this was added to the order. just no. absolutely not. (I intentionally tasted this last because I had a 'smoke' flavor from GeJ and hated it)

Creamy Espresso - Much less 'cream' than I thought there would be based on the name. The espresso side was muted though. It clearly needs more steeping.

Smoky Clove - hint of cinnamon, light smoke and floral notes. The best descriptor I can come up with for this one is it tastes like a stick of Big Red gum that has just lost its flavor and the cinnamon is no longer really there but is more of an aftertaste.

In addition to these, I got my order from Indigo Vapor (I didnt expect that until end of the week - i got the shipment notification on Sat). Along with my order of Duke, Kickback, and Eureka, they sent a sampler of Uncle Cutty.

Uncle Cutty tastes a lot like a 555 but, with fruit rather than the typical flavor high spots. I get a bit of tangerine on the inhale and melon on the exhale but, still in the 555 flavorset. It's interesting - I've not made up my mind whether I like it or not.

So yea, we'll see how these are in a few days and then in a few weeks :)

Oh - for reference, I vape a plain green tea between tastings generally - it does a good job of completely clearing the pallet without leaving behind anything. If the flavors are especially heavy, I will use Ecto as well (I got one in my GeJ order and the almost 7up taste does well to 'cleanse' the pallet as well). I used both here and waited about 10 minutes (drinking plenty of water) between just to make sure I didn't 'bleed' any flavors.
