There was a great This American Life episode in which Ira Glass gives a name to the impulse to make up explanations for complex phenomena without actual knowledge of said phenomena. And the name is, American Jackass.

So, that said, would you like me to explain why partially hydrogenated vegetable oil is dangerous?

Sure. I'll listen to you while I eat a bag of Doritos

In related news to today's topic, I spoke with Rich at QuickNic a few days ago about some of his liquids and I got to talking about what I love and don't love about his ouR whY qu4tro. What I love about it is when fresh, it has that rich, fiery and exciting vibe that is rarely, if ever, seen in NET RY4s. What I don't love about the juice is that after a steep, the juice no longer has the exciting-ness that it had when fresh.

What makes that juice so exciting from jumpstreet? His fire-cured tobacco. Well, what about if that liquid didn't have other flavors to compete with? I will soon see. It's not something (as far as I know) that may be offered any time soon, but Rich is going to give it a shot as a singular extraction and let me test it out. I am eager to try his fire-cured liquid going solo.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that I got an informative response from Beeliquid. They were quite generous with what they told me about their ingredients, extractions and such, but I know wait for another response from them to find out what was off-the-record if anything was.

I just received the green light from Mat to share with you all what is up with what.

Beeliquid uses a maceration of the tobacco in all PG (Like GeJ) for up to 28 days. The "true NETs," as he called them, are tobaccos #2, #3, #4, #5, #8, #9.

The tobaccos #3, #4, #9 are not available yet and #8 will be offered again when the new site goes live.

The current straight NETs actually available from Beeliquid are #2 and #5. Mat was also kind enough to answer my questions about which of his juices contain TA. His TA juices are #7 and #233.

Lastly, there are no sample packs right now, but when the new site goes live, he hopes to have a formerly offered 5 x 5 mL sample pack for $20.

p.s. Like most NET vendors, the filtration process is proprietary, but he promises the liquids are "very well filtered." I was almost relieved that his filtration process was secret--it kind of put him in good company. LOL

W2V apparently changed the name of their Dr. Vapenstein Blends to Signature Blends because Dr.V is not with W2V (as of "some months" ago). That is crazy because the names of the juices have not changed (and I as far as I know the recipes are still the same). I am actually a little shocked by this news, but I am happy Dr.V posted to let the truth be known.

Got a chance to try MVJ My Hero today. 12mg 30%vg mixed on 3/11 which was actually two weeks before I started vaping. I got a small sample from johni. Thanks John!

The flavor is straight tobacco from a single leaf extraction (Connecticut Broad Leaf) and doesn't have the complexity of some of the blends. It still has a great enough flavor to stand up on its own. It is dark and woody with a bit of earthiness to it. Nothing leafy or bright and it is neither sweet nor dry. The taste is heavy on the inhale and light and clean on the exhale.

Overall I am really happy with this juice and I'll be ordering a big bottle. My only down note is that I vaped all that I had. ;)

Wish I had saved more of it for you since it works for you! I like it but not enough to reorder.

Hey, I found a little dab of well steeped Natural Perique if you're interested.

Is that from GeJ? I almost ordered some yesterday but passed for now. I'd definitely try it out. I guess I'll have to toss in a little more pork!

Natural Perique from GeJ. Good stuff. Google Perique and read up before trying it will help to understand it and increase flavor appreciation. Don't know why I didn't vape it up as I really like the funky Perique!

Perhaps when he hears it more than once it makes him go hmmmm.

Oh yeah! Our convo was centered around using some of his base tobacco liquids and not adding the "other" flavors on top. I told him that we would eat, err, vape up some straight-ups.

He said he is starting over with the Turkish, so it would be cool to see a Turkish, flue and fire-cured juice available!

You better believe it! That flue-cured he uses in his banana juice blows me away.

Got my HHV order in the mail today. :) Sludge, PB, HA, and DF are all steeping away now. Oh, I also ordered a VAMO for my first mod purchase today. Excited to try it out, although I wasn't able to convince my wife completely on the purchase, so the batteries and charger will have to wait until another paycheck I'm afraid. This also probably means that Monday is a no-go on ordering some of the Ahlusion tobaccos...:(

I think my next purchase will be the batt's and charger, a rebuildable of some sorts, wick and wire, and HOPEFULLY some of the Ahlusion tobaccos when there is some in stock. I have been vaping non-stop on Legend and Serendipity the past two days (sadly the 'Dipity ran out tonight) and I am finding it hard to decide which I like more between Legend and PB. At least that is the problem I am having instead of deciding what to do with a bunch of juice I don't like. :D

I received my HHV order about 2 days ago. 7 tobaccos: Legend, Oompa, Serendipity, Dark Horse, Dragon's Fire, Huntsman, and Heavenly Army. After steeping overnight, I had to dig into at least one, so I chose HA.

That hit me just right, the vapor is unreal, great TH, and the creaminess and flavors just satisfy me. I had to refill my Protank and couldn't stop chain-vaping it until the MVP died. HA is the perfect balance of tobacco and dessert, both complimenting each other.

Tonight, while awaiting the recharge on the MVP, I loaded up 1ml of Dark Horse in a minitank on my Triton ego-style. Sort of like Wrangler Light from GeJ, with just a tad more sweetness to it, smoothing out the grassiness. I can see why many consider it a cigarette at the NETty awards. I'll let it steep some more, then try it in the Protank.

I will definitely be placing another order for more HA. This could be my main ADV.
