Firstly, I would like too thank all the people who have contributed to this thread, a lot of good information. I recently purchased a sampler from HHV, Shadow and Heavenly tobacco are the two I have tried (just a couple drops in an atty) and will put them away for a couple weeks to steep. At this point the flavor is very mild, which surprised me. Can I expect the steep to bring out more flavor or an added complexity to the flavor, or ideally both. Chris

The steep will bring out some flavors and mute some others (at least in my experience). A lot of the more perfumy liquids will generally lose that characteristic as they steep and some of the other flavors will come to the forefront because of it.
I'd leave the cap off for a couple of days (still cap and shake daily) then shake it every day for a couple of weeks. you should taste a difference.

Using one of my new mini drippers that I got in today, the "Cutie". Awesome little RBA, nice tight draw and as small as my IGO-S so flavor is fantastic. Will get a lot of use from it.
Finishing off Virginia Prime from HouseofLiquid. Been a great juice. It's probably the most leafy NET I've vaped. The leafy bite really seperates it from the rest of the El Toros. Didn't always work for me, but when I was in the mood I could stick with it for hours. Such a pure tobacco flavor with little sweetness, my guess is the Virginia tobacco extract is the only flavoring ingredient involved.

Dragon's Fire: Raisin Bran with sugar...
I happen to like raisin bran with sugar, but I think perhaps a longer steep time is required. It delicious, but can't see that as the reason why it's so touted on the NETty's. I find the tobacco, but it's way, way in the background... Mild, smooth easily vaped.

I've been told to put it away for a good long steep. I too found the tobacco lacking and the overall taste very good but uninspiring, even after aging a couple months. Maybe another month will change things.

That's what I was thinking. It's a rather good breakfast vape currently, but rather uninspiring, especially with everyone raving about it. And this is on a fresh mini-tank and the Triton battery. So another few weeks and then in the BCC and VV battery

You are quite right, the tobacco is distant in this, but that doesn't make it any less sublime.Incidentally, the reason I love MOV Full Virginia Flake is its uncanny resmblance to butter-pecan ice cream.

I'm breaking out my Vapists Vapours after a 2.5 week steep. Got Victory in my Phoenix on a Smoktech Winder at 4v.
Victory, you'll recall,is
a delightful blend of no less than four types of natural whole leaf tobacco (Sweet Virginia, Nicaraguan, Light Fire Cured & Dominican) which has been soaked, slow-filtered and steeped to create a liquid for those looking to re-create the old smoking experience without the unwanted affects of burning tobacco. Vapers who find themselves occasionally turning back to cigarettes or rolling tobacco may finally find Victory in their battle against cigarette cravings!
The Virginia and Fire Cured are the most immediately obvious. It has a hint of dry smokiness on the inhale, and the exhale has a faint bright sweetness which might be the Nicaraguan? It's complex but not too strong, with a little toasty funkiness. I agree with the description that this might indeed be just the thing to kill a smoke craving (it is only available in 16-18mg though). I'm finding it very, very nice and worthy of consideration in the high ranks of NETs. Can't wait to try it with my morning coffee.

OH MY yes. I might be the only one who thinks that way, but it is smooth and creamy and sweet and a little nutty. It is an RY4.
I enjoy Full Virginia Flake. Out of the NET RY4s I've had, it's the one with the least intimidating tobacco (though still quite good). I think it's a good gateway e-liquid for RY4 fans that want to try NETs.
And you are making me want to crack out my Wrangler Light, Serendipity and Dark Horse. Nice review by the way. I think you described Serendipity spot on.

That one I am steeping the longest, since I got nothing but grass from it the first time. Meanewhile, the color of my Organic #1 seems to be very dark cola or light motor oil. It's dark. I recalled I liked that, but need to revisit it soon. I do know that I need a larger bottle of Vita Bella soon

I felt the same way about Dragon's Fire at first. Sometimes the hype on a liquid can add, or even cause the disappointment. I initially expected more from Legend and Dragon's Fire and yet they tasted great. They were lighter on flavour than I expected and not quite as effective as a NET. I thought of them as being really good quality synthetic liquids mixed to perfection. I don't know what it was I was expecting.
As time passes and I let go of the expectations caused by the hype, time is proving to be a friend with juices such as Legend, Dragon's Fire and Serendipity and I am coming full circle with them. They are every bit what I expected in the first place minus the high expectation I had when I was reading about them and waiting for them to arrive in my vape mail.

TSNAs consist of four chemical compounds:
N-nitrosonornicotine (NNN)
4-methyl-N-nitrosamino-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone (NNK)
N-nitrosoanatabine (NAT)
N-nitrosoanabasine (NAB)
Two of these chemical compounds, NNN and NNK, have been classifed as Group 2B carcinogens.
Maybe their laws are different and they must state it, but this ties right back into what B brought up about fire-cured and what DVap alluded to (in a PM) regarding certain processes for extracting tobacco for flavor. I am not saying that steeping or macerating is problematic because I don't know (it appears that they don't either); I mainly think it's cool that they are up front about it. I only know of, maybe, a couple NET sites here in the states that even address this issue, but most sites here are mum in regard to either the possibility of or the liquid being free from TSNAs.

Only the RTS range (Real Tobacco Steeps) is NET: he is very upfront about the Cinders and other tobaccos being made with flavoring only.Postage for five 10ml bottles of juice was £5.50, not too bad. Shipping took just over a week from Liverpool.

I did have a thought about the carcinogenic properties of maceration. After all, it IS a real tobacco that is extracted to make NETS. I initially had a concern that macerated or any naturally extracted liquids may contain MOST of the harmful chemicals found in cigarettes. I guess combustion is the key in analog cigarettes that makes the difference.
It appears, without too much further inquiry, that carcinogens are higher in NETS but it's still a negligible amount.

Triumph isn't quite ready yet. Conquest Cherry is an excellent cigar juice with a cherry sweetness that is a cut above most cherry flavors...still ever so slightly artificial but not in a nasty chemical way. It brings out the fire-cured tobacco in a way that regular non-cherry Conquest, curiously, doesn't (yet).
I'll keep Conquest and Triumph in the steeping drawer while I happily vape Victory and Conquest Cherry.
Oh, I also have Victoria Sponge, a raspberry cake juice. It was not great when I first tried it out of the mailbox, but it smells delish.
