My eVod will hopefully be in tomorrow! I saw Busardo's video and it looks easy and fun to rebuild. I like how it uses such a small amount of wick, my German silica should work great.

I just received a protank and evod this past week. Unable to leave well enough alone, I recoiled a protank head with some xc-116 ceramic. Vapes pretty nice but there's nothing wrong with the stock heads although I did remove one or two of the 'flavor wicks'. As for the german silica, I love that stuff. I use it in 3 of the igo-l just for my heavy-hitter aromatic nets and man do those things have me spoiled. Flavor is just fantastic.

Very good flavor and vapor production but the draw is like sucking on a big Dairy Queen straw (the big ones that come with shakes) without the milkshake!

It depends on what you're comparing it with. It's a fairly tight draw compared to my AC9 with the stock 1.5mm airhole. That thing was like drawing through a 1/2" pvc pipe the first time I tried it. With the 1.2mm cap on the ac9, it's about like the protank. Compared to a carto, the protank is airy. I think the draw on the protank is about the same as the igo-l with the stock airhole. After you use the protank for a bit, you'll probably grow accustomed to the draw. My biggest gripe is the metal drip tip, just not my thing. Agreed, the vape is definitely on the cooler side due to the bottom coil.

Who you calling fresh meat, punk ;) I have been here since 2010 and I was one of those people using Lipton pyramid tea bags to enhance my cartridge experience. I was just err on and off? Being a bad boy with the analogs :D

Can't you get a bottle of 18mg and a bottle of 8mg and mix them?

Fantastic! 70/30 pg/mg is my favorite ratio! :) I usually vape 12mg-15mg; I can do 18mg, but I have to be careful with it.

I may just do that, when I get around to ordering from them.

I would love to try Apache, but I just can't afford to put in another order. Being in Australia, it doesn't make sense to order a small selection of juices because the postage is fixed and quite expensive. Actually, MOV was the very first vendor I tried to put in an order with for NET juices (apart from Vaperite 2 years ago) and there wasn't an option to post to Australia. I sent the vendor a couple of emails and they never responded to them so I abandoned the order. I do believe Apache was in that list of juices I had selected for my cart.

So now, even if they do deliver to Australia (and answer my emails in the event that it's not in their list of countries) I can't justify $20 postage for a few liquids and I can't justify a big order because I have a lot of juice.

So much for first world problems.

Wait til you try Apache. Nothing like it from HHV or GeJ.

I've got to admit I am not a fan of the Protank, yet. I agree with your take on it. This makes me even more appreciative of the Vapeonly BCC.

However, the Evods are surprisingly good and for a 1/3rd of the price of the Protank are great value. Apparently the only real difference between the Protank and the Evods is the housing and glass tank but the coils are practically identical. The glass tank is immune to juices that eventually eat through Pyrex but so what. At $6 a pop I doubt replacing an Evod every now then is going to break the bank. The Protank coil is a little longer but apparently they are identical. Correct me if I am wrong.

I find the draw on the evod is perfect and the flavour is spot on.

You guys convinced me to try a Pro Tank. Just got one, washed it good and fired it up with some Full Virginia Flake RY4. Very good flavor and vapor production but the draw is like sucking on a big Dairy Queen straw (the big ones that come with shakes) without the milkshake! The vape is ice cold also. These are my initial impressions and I'll give it a chance but I'd trade it for a good RBA.

I've also got two of the Phoenix v5 coming. After looking more closely at the pics of it, I'd say it is made for dual/multiple coil builds. I'm happy with one coil so I could be traded out of them also.

Really? I've ordered from them a few times... and postage wasn't too bad. They have sales pretty frequently too.

Cartridges! I used to use actual RYO cigarette filters in my cartridges, ironically. :)

AAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

It's after 8:00am Eastern time, and Ahlusion is not open! I wonder if they reached capacity for the whole frigging weekend yesterday?

With this crowd hogging the aromatics it wouldn't surprise me :(

If our tastes in devices is the same as our taste in juices, you are going to love the Evod.

Damn I was all excited about using my Evod head in the Protank and eagerly tried it. It didn't work.

What did work in making the draw less airy on the Protank was putting the wicks back in. Though, it's still more airy than I would like.

I'll bring you an evod head sometime and you can try that out. Makes the pull less airy on the protank so not so much humongo straw effect going on.

Okay I checked back on my emails and I know what happened - my credit card payment was declined and I couldn't figure out why. Maybe they have a credit card system where the address on the account has to match the credit card address.

I might have another look.

Well I'll be damned. I just put in an order with MOV and ordered Apache, Full Virginia Flake RY4 and Southern Gentleman. It worked with my other card. The postage is very reasonable for a small order. It's not fixed like other sites. How wonderful! I thought Apache was out of reach!

Did the Evod heads fit though? I just ordered 5 Evod heads to use as spares in the ProTank. I'm liking the draw on both mine, but then they sit almost completely flush on my device with no gaps to add to the "airiness" of the draw.

It sits perfectly inside the Protank. It just doesn't fire. Incidentally, I tried to use the Protank head in the Evod and that also fit perfectly, but didn't fire. I might crack the replacement heads I got for the Evod and try those.

The evod head has a much shorter post than the Protank head.

I was eyeing up the Hey Jack and wondering why no one ever talks about it on this thread. It sure sounds good. But on account of the plethora of orders I put in lately I just wanted to target exactly what I wanted and left it at that. The 3 for $24.99 deal is a good one.

By the way Scarfy, with the fall in our Australian dollar, suddenly everything international is that bit more expensive. I sure am I put in my orders when I did. Our dollar has gone from 1.05 USD to 0.95 USD in a matter of weeks!
