I am surprised Backwoods Brew didn't make that list. Their now discontinued RY4 is legendary...and I have heard great things about a few others for theirs, in particular the maple tobacco. Anyone have thoughts on Backwoods?
I'm not sure which of their's is extracted tobacco, if any. I tried them before getting into NETs and found a couple okay, like the 555E and honey flue something or other. Pretty sure those were synthetic tobaccos. Casablanca didn't work for me at all. Want to try their Virginia still.
My understanding is that they are NET's. The Casablanca is a very popular and respected juice, but out of stock for the forseeable future. I am going to give their maple tobacco a whirl.
Among those of us who like knowing what goes into our tobacco juices, Don at BackwoodsBrew is notorious for being extremely tight-lipped about his ingredients and sources. Some information exists on ECF about that, but much of it is mere hearsay. Dependable information that can be passed on with certainty is rare. Straight synthetics? Straight NETs? Synthetic/NET hybrids? Home-brewed NETs or out-sourced? With BWB, it's mostly guessing.
Concerning BWB RY4, yes, it is near-legendary. Personally, I found it to be something of an "un-acquired" taste. That is to say, I loved it in my first year of vaping. BWB RY4's flavor profile is very idiosyncratic, however, and, as I vaped more and more Classic and Custom RY4s, BWB began to lose luster in my eyes (palate). I never stopped liking it, but in terms of rankings, my judgment is that many, many retail RY4s are clearly superior to BWB RY4. Having vaped more than 120 RY4s, I wouldn't rank it in the top 30. Even though it's no longer available, I've kept Don's RY4 on The Big RY4 List purely on the basis of its fame (the same applies to AlienVisions' Raf-a-licious). On The RY4 Report Card, BWB RY4 gets a grade of B. That may disappoint or even offend some hard-core BWB RY4 aficionados, but they can make their lists. LOL.
