... I vaped the thai tea right away as it is an elusive flavor I am seeking where others have fallen short. I must say out of the box I am...disenchanted. It is enjoyable and closer to the mark than other vendors I have tried, and it performs like a mamma jamma with above average throat hit and HUGE clouds of vapeage...but the flavor it a bit weak, muddled, and while tasty in no way mimicks a thai tea. ..

Here's my DIY Thai Tea recipe:

Ingredients:

5 ml favorite eliquid at desired strength
3/4 C black tea leaves (approximately 3 oz.)
star anise, ground tamarind, cardamom and/or other spices, to taste (optional)
6 C boiling water
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C sweetened condensed milk
1 C evaporated milk (most traditional), whole milk, half and half, or coconut milk

Directions:

Steep the tea leaves (and any optional spices) in the water for 5 minutes, then remove the tea leaves from the water (either by removing the infuser you’re using, or by straining the water to remove the leaves if loose).
While the tea is still hot, stir in sugar until dissolved, then stir in condensed milk.
Allow tea mixture to cool to room temperature or colder.
Fill tall iced tea glasses with ice, and pour in tea mixture until glasses are roughly 3/4 full.
Slowly top off glasses with evaporated milk, whole milk or coconut milk, but do not stir (final dairy should remain primarily as its own layer at the top of the glass).

Drink tea and vape juice on side.

Can somebody please explain to me why I have a love/hate with Patriot? Is is the way the perique can dominate the blend? Is it the ashiness? is is the killer performance? Does anyone else have this back and forth on it and does anyone have any insight on way I keep saying I won't reorder but keep reaching for what I have on hand?

BJ,

I can't explain it, but I can chime in with partial agreement. I say "partial" because my reaction to the original Patriot (I haven't tried the new version) was always a lukewarm "sort of like/sort of dislike" rather than the more passionate "love/hate." The flavor profile never grabbed me, one way or the other. Patriot was just never my cup of tea, er, Chai. My 18-month-old bottle of Patriot is still half-full.

I am super excited! Thanks to Chimps McGhee and Ericnc I now have in my possession the following liquids:

1) Devil Dog - ahlusion 18mg
2) Sahara Blend - ahlusion 18mg
3) Our Why Qua4ro - Quicknic 18 mg
4) Proudest Monkey - Quicknic 18mg
5) Habana Daydream - Quicknic 18 mg
6) Kuba Kuba - Quicknic 18 mg
7) Grandpa's Nightcap - Quicknic 18 mg

I have only tried Devil Dog so far. This was the liquid I mostly anticipated. It was love at first vape and it tasted pretty much like I had imagined it would. It has the strong and unmistakable grassiness of burley but unlike Blue Grass Burley there are other tobaccos rounding it out. I think there is virginia or turkish and it is potentially rounded out by cavendish or an equally rich dark tobacco. It is strong, full bodied, robust and in your face and yet smooth at the same. Thinking in colour, I imagine this liquid being a deep burgundy or a deep bronze.

I could imagine this liquid would be perfect for someone coming right off tobacco. This would appease their need for something similar while offering so much more layer and texture to the experience than an analog cigarette.

This is not an all day vape juice but I could easily lose myself vaping off a few mils without realizing it. It would be terribly difficult to resist this juice at any time except when a sweet itch hits.

It is similar to MOV's Apache with it's bold grassy taste but it is more rounded than that juice with other overt tobaccos giving it a rounder body. I like both, for the same reason and for the different reasons. Both are strong, in your face and scratch some serious itches. Both perfect after a flavoursome meal. Both different because Apache has more grassiness exposed on it's own in the same way Blue Grass Burley from Ahlusion is. Devil Dog is a rounded grassiness.

At 18mg Devil Dog almost feels like 36 mg. This is a great quality to this juice. A heavy tobacco flavour and a shot of nicotine that is actually twice as light than it actually is, avoiding the onset of nicotine sickness. I also get a light rum or some kind of dark spirit after taste which lingers.

The dog is definitely howling to the moon tonight.

PS: Chimps McGhee's service, wrapping and custom's proofing makes me think he really could start his own e-liquid business or work for someone in the industry. He has to be one of the most pleasant people I've ever dealt with and I mean, ever ever, period.

Ok guys... Just pulled the trigger on 3 orders. I've been lurking for a while and have to try these juices. HHV's Legend has been my fav for the last 5 months or so. Looking forward to trying something new.
Is there a thread that discusses the best tank to use for NETs? I know dripping is best, but I'm lazy.
iClear16's are great, but they leak too much. I use an iClear30 on my MPV, but it lacks in the flavor department.
I have a couple 2.4ml CC tanks that are top coil, and they actually produce a warm cape which is nice (IMO) for a tobacco juice.

Oh-oh, I ready ready for a good vape until I got to " Fill tall iced tea glasses with ice, and pour in tea mixture until glasses are roughly 3/4 full."

The Kanger Protank works well, and the vapor can be warm, albeit airier than the iclears. The flavor is a notch above the iclears; slightly more nuanced, once you get used to the metal of the mouthpiece. Also, you have to take slower draws... once you get used to the differences, it works out well. For NETs, I usually take out 1 flavor/floater wick from the coil head, which improves flavor and vapor production.

The Evod or T3s use the same Protank coil structure, but I hear the draw is slightly tighter. I have neither of those, but they are similar to the Protank, but have the advantage of plastic mouthpieces (I really don't like the metal of either the Protank or the iclear30).

HHV and GeJ juices works well in both the iclears and the Protank. Rinse and re-use.

I am actually finding the flavour a touch muted with the ebaron dripper. it's got wonderful vapor and throat hit but the flavour seems about 90% to me. My Igo-L's and Vision Eternity (with the wider mouthpiece) seem to have better flavour.

I am changing the pre-installed coil with a replacement coil and hope this makes a difference.

The eBaron Dripper is 100% awesome, you'll love it! :)

Good to see you've caught up Mftoms.

I have been monitoring your reading progress by the likes you put on my old posts. Looking forward to seeing your input into NETs.

I'm glad to hear this, I've tried 2 or 3 chocolates from other Vendors and found them dry. I ordered White & Blue Beards, Monkey Business (couldn't resist the name), and Chocolate Pudding (less calories than the real thing)

I would say go for the Kangar protank or the Vapeonly BCC (bottom coil clearomiser). For NET's my favourite is the Vapeonly BCC but that opinions doesn't seem to be supported by consensus. I don't know why, but if I really love a net and want to vape it in a tank, this is the one I go for. It retains most of the flavour, has the perfect draw for me and does not leak (though some have reported it may start to leak after a while, hasn't happened to me in 2 months yet).

First foray into the infamous DEVIL DOG today. This is after chain vaping Louiville all morning, mind you. It is kicking my .......in a good way. It is a keeper for sure, I will leave it at that until I tame the dog over the next 24 hours. That is all I will say for now, other than right out of the mail this juice is something exceptionally special and exceeding expectations.
