I played around with Chai, Bavarian Creme, Irish Creme and Malt and always ended up around 20%. I think the Raspberry will be more along the lines you suggest though, it seemed very potent when I mixed it. I think I need to find "too much" in my experiments at this point. I made up a LOT of my base though so I can always treat it like a concentrate and dilute. Nic will drop but won't affect taste.

I'm really trying to clone Virgin Vapors dessert stuff, and I think they load on the flavoring.

I finally got around to making my first batch.

BANANA PEACH SURPRISE
18% Nic
5% NF Banana
5% NF Peach
75% VG / 25% PG

First review (shortly after mixing and heating to 90 degrees for 20 minutes)
TASTE; the peach is lost in this. Banana is strong. Is a bit on the sweet side and reminds me of Banana Runts candy.
VAPOR; good vapor production
TH; mild
COLOR; clear
:2c:

I have gotten alcohol based flavorings down to a consistent two day evaporation steep by using cartos. tanks keep the alcohol trapped. Cartos breathe and have a lot of exposed surface area relative to the amount of alcohol vapor mass we are talking about. Let a carto sit out for an hr without the drip tip in and it's ready to go. After a few primer puffs and subsequent warming of the cartomizer, better yet.

I placed my 1st order with Natures Flavors last week of March and it is STILL in the status of "processing".
I have emailed the company (prematurely) around day 8 marker and was promptly told that they take up to 10 business days to fill orders. I suggested that they take down the flash screen advertising 5-7 days.
I then proceeded to wait until the 11 business day and called them...CS comment was that my order is now in labeling and will be shipped soon...
STILL IN PROCESSING
Is this everyone else's experience with them??? Is this the way they conduct business?? I hope the flavors are worth it!!!

Try ordering direct from FlavourArt in Italy. They are quoting 45 business days. Then, there's shipping time from Italy. I expect my order sometime after school starts up again in the fall.

I've been loving the NF Vanilla Cream I've been getting from High Desert Vapes. Unfortunately, I tried to order Vanilla Cream from NF and it was the wrong kind and was horrible! I have searched for literally months and cannot figure out where HDV gets their NF Vanilla Cream as there is only one of that flavor that I have been able to find on their site, and that's the wrong one that I ordered previously. My all day vape for almost a year has been:

18% Vanilla Cream
2% Caramel Cream
In an all VG nic base. The 20% amount of flavoring seems to thin the juice out nicely and although I see many saying they would never use 20% flavoring, I highly disagree in this instance.

It is an amazing juice for me, my son and a couple of my friends. So I guess I'm not the only one crazy enough to like it. lol. But I really, really, would love to be able to buy the Vanilla Cream in a bigger bottle and cheaper from somewhere other than HDV.

Anyone know where else I can get it? lol. Thanks! BTW, I LOVE THIS THREAD!

Oh, I've also experimented with other flavors but not alot and none of the other recipes came out real good. But I'm sort of picky with flavors.

Do you still have the 'bad' one that you got from NF? I checked NF & HDV; indeed NF only sells the one version of vanilla cream - further, I compared the description text and it seems that this is indeed what HDV is using. (Comparison based on 'extract' labeling, description, and ingredients listed. A rough science at best but NF does sell many versions of a lot of their flavorings...)

Having donned my Helm of Postulation, I can think of a couple potential reasons for your problem:

1) Steeping. This extract, as with most NF flavors, uses an alcohol base; this base can affect taste and performance of flavoring. Perhaps HDV pre-evaps some of the alcohol, or in the time between them getting it from NF, repackaging, and shipping to you it evaps naturally. Try steeping your NF without cap for a couple days, or do this with the juice you mixed. Some people like to gently heat the flavoring to expedite this; there are a ton of threads about it floating around.

2) Variance. NF makes the flavorings to order, and they are not 100% consistent; this is true of all batches of flavoring, from anywhere really. I have never noticed this, but many people do - again, there are threads about it floating around. Maybe you got a dud.

3) The Vendor. Maye HDV isn't selling a straight NF vanilla cream; perhaps they tinker with it or something. I have heard reports of some vendors selling watered-down flavorings, and other such things. Mixing flavors. Though that doesn't sound like the particular case here, it does illustrate that "NF vanilla cream" is not always "NF vanilla cream". I have never dealt with HDV & have no reason to doubt them, but it is a possibility.

Thanks alot for your reply, Echofinder :) As far as steeping, I steeped the hell out of it forever. I left it with the cap off for gosh, several days. I put it in the refrigerator for several weeks. My friend and I bought a huge bottle of it and split it and both of us had no luck with it whatsoever. It was way different than HDV's flavor. It almost tasted sort of like chocolate. So weird but a bad chocolate. I was wondering if HDV might be using the NF Vanilla and putting something else in it. Maybe I will experiment and try ordering the HDV Vanilla and see if possibly mixing a tiny amount with something like the Bavarian Cream makes it different. I sure would love to figure it out and it's been a mission of mine for awhile. lol.

Also, I've read this entire thread. Has anyone used the NF Toffee by itself and if so, what percentage? Was it good? I got it recently and want to try it out. As far as their Blueberry, I liked it at 10%. See, I know some of you might think that is real strong but ha! I like it. I have liked the alcohol in the juice because it's allowed me to finally lower my nic and get a good throat hit still. Before using NF flavors I just couldn't drop below 10 mg nic and be satisfied. I've been using 8 mg nic for awhile now and contemplating going down to 6 mg but not sure I can do it. We shall see.

MiamiMom63 - Just curious...why did you steep it in the refrigerator? I'm not a chemist but I think that keeping a mixture cool/cold will slow whatever reaction goes on during the steeping process. Again, I won't pretend to really know what I'm talking about but cooling the mixture goes against what I've read. Also, I got a "B" in high school chemistry

Actually, I left it out a good week or more and then thought it should be refrigerated as I had heard you should keep organics in the fridge. I would periodically open and smell it over a course of several months. Finally, I gave up and threw it out. I also made some juice with it which I continued to steep several weeks with no luck. I was real nasty stuff.
