I use a needle. I have a "helping hands" that has two clips on it..I usually put the needle and silica together, clamp and then wrap. Easy peasy..You could still do it without a clamp though.

did you make that, buy it, find it in the garbage somehwere? If made please post picks so i can attemtp to duplicate badly but well enough to mudlle through.

Bought it from Harbor Freight for about $12. Comes with a little tray, attached magnifying glass, clamps and light. Plus a holder for a soldering iron!

Yeah, that's true. Good silica shouldn't scorch easily.. Should be fine doing it in short bursts. I was thinking more so towards the cotton and whatnot.. Thanks, Jake!

I wasn't saying you were wrong or anything....just saying that silica is usually alright to dry burn...as long as you do it in short bursts

Wow....how much do you have? How many gigs is an average movie?

Well, depending on the source, format and encoding..anywhere from 700(ish) megs to about 5 gigs..for a BRD, up to 9 gigs. For an average season of, say, TWD.. around 10 gigs. For all of the stuff you NEED to see..probably quite a bit. I have probably 3 or 4 TBs of stuff here
