There's always a chance that some juices will crack plastic, but some tanks simply don't have glass tanks available, yet. I've not seen one for the kayfun or the kayfun clones, but given their popularity, I wouldn't be surprised if they become available.

I don't think it's that easy to thread glass. The stainless with glass port holes is very possible though, and I'm surprised we haven't seen that yet.

That's why I use the steel insert now and don't worry about it. I did not like too but I have gotten use to it. And seeing how much and hard it is to find good replacement tanks I gave it a try. With the tanks being threaded that fine glass is out of the question unless it or the atomizer is redesigned imho. Next time I find some for $6 I will jump on them and get a few.

There would definitely be a few obstacles, but that's what the geniuses who make these tanks are for :). I'm sure something like delrin or similar could be fused to the glass to provide threading so that the steel/metal isn't grinding it down. I'm not an engineer, but I could see something like that working, at least as a pre-production model to gauge interest and see how well it holds up to these liquids.

You could also skip the fusing and simply make a lip on the top and bottom of the glass, pop a delrin threaded cap over the glass lip into the area that would thread. Coupled with some o-rings and something to keep air flow leakage from occurring between the micro space between the plastic and the glass and you'd have something going.

It could be done, but I'm just throwing ideas around right now. I don't have the equipment to punch/blow glass or plastic on-hand, but I'm sure some company could take up this idea and run with it.

I wonder if that's the way they're doing it with stainless now. Regardless, the delrin idea sounds doable at least. I think they'll come up with something one of these days.

My stainless tank is a solid piece. I would like to see someone push out a glass tank similar to the idea mentioned. If you could solve the release between the plastic and the glass without creating too much pressure on and around the lip, I think it'd be solid.

The delrin is a good idea, fusing not. Being in the glass business the cost and failure would outweigh it. It would cost you lots more than a Plexiglas one may as well buy a bunch of clones. Maybe a China manufacturer could come up with something but they seem to be good at copying.Placed an order with Vaperev...

heh i'm okay with China making it - that much doesn't bother me, I'd just like to see it as an option. If I had the tools to do a mock up and design, I'd pitch it myself. I was thinking about it last night while tinkering with my Kayfun 3.1 and though you could do it one of two ways.

1). Create a glass tank with a lip which would allow a delrin threaded cap to slide and "snap" over it. You would simply need a way to stop airflow between the delrin and glass tank or;

2). Create a glass tank with a lip which would allow a delrin threaded cap to snap over the top and bottom of the glass tank, thus stopping any potential leak once it's inside the tank. If o-rings were added on to the glass tank before the delrin was snapped on, that would create a seal and also prevent some of the pressure from simple using a piece on the outside only.

I've not seen delrin take a hit from juice cracking liquid, so that may just work, if someone could do a mock up concept and someone would take on the manufacturing of it. I'd imagine they'd run in the $25-$40 range given the plastic tanks are $8-$20 each, but it'd be worth it to have that option.

I'm sure you guys have probably already answered this, but I figured I'd ask again so this question would come up on google search results.

I have a Kayfun 3.1 Clone (bought from fasttech) - I LOVE IT! It hits great, no leaks, has to perform pretty close to the real one! It's my first clone I've ever bought, I believe in supporting the original designers... clones will kill out industry eventually.

My question is, will a REAL M-Tank designed to fit a REAL Kayfun 3.1 fir on a CLONE Kayfun 3.1?

I already bought it... so I guess I'll find out.

I felt like I had to buy the clone this one time, becuase my big worry was the airflow being too tight for a lung-hitter like me... and honestly - it is too tight. I'd prefer to have an actual adjustable airflow that opens up even more...

If you mess around (like me) with micro coils registering out around .9ohms, you are going to need more air to keep your crazy coils cool, and to keep the cotton from burning.

The Clone Kayfun 3.1 I'd like to think has almost identical airflow compared to the Kayfun 3.1 (original). Lung hitters beware! It's very constricting... even if you completely remove the airflow screw like I did... it's not even close to my Kraken... I love my Kraken, it opens up nice and wide for lung hits.
