Hi guys.

looking for some advice on what tank system to go for next.
So far tried the TW duel core tank, which i get on great with the only problem is it is killing my batterys.

Also tried the vivi nova which was kinda was a let down,i found it always had a funny taste to it. but did last longer battery wise

Now i work as a medic so do long shifts and topping up can become a problem when im busy going from job to job hense why i use a tank.

Im in the UK and using a twist 1000mh battery.

Thanks for any help

Phil.

you might want to learn how to rebuild your nova or just buy a rba. if thats not your thing, have you looked into carto tanks? if you do go the rebuilding route, make sure you check it on a voltage/ ohm meter or on a mod that has protection on it. you dont want to short out your twist

Whats a RBA?

I'm not a nova fan either. I have two of them and find I use them less than clearos. Much thanks to Baditude for turning me onto to IBtanked! I now have three of them and it's love, love, love!

Thanks for the gratitude, Ocelot. ;)

As much as I promote the IBTanks, I do not believe the OP's issue is with the tank, but the cartomizers that he is using. A tank's function is merely to be a reservoir to hold liquid, and supply a cartomizer of the user's choice with that liquid. Any tank will do, as long as it does not leak.

A different tank system is not going to affect the longivity of the OP's eGo Twist's battery life. A single coil carto might.

Dual coil cartomizers are notorious of draining batteries faster than single coils, especially on eGo style batteries. I recommend the OP to simply buy some single coil 2.0 - 2.5 ohm pre-punched cartomizers to use in his TW tank. (It's actually a Smoktech DCT tank)

The carto's do not need to have the flange on the connector end of the carto. Any single coil XL length (45mm) carto will do. Smoktek XL, Ikenvape (mega), Boge XL, etc will do. Under my avatar are blog entries that has links to vendors that sell single coil punched cartomizers for tanks.

You might consider getting another tank if you only have one. Even if I am only running out to the store for a half hour, I carry in my pocket a couple of tanks with different flavors with me. A backup battery is also recommended should your prime battery die. It need not be another Twist, but something that can also use the same attachments would be in order, such as a 600mah eGo.

PM me if you need further help.

Thanks for that reply-hit the nail on the head.

Like you said the tank seems fine but the carts were draining the battery, now i know i can use any cart ill look about.

I do have quite a few totally wicked carts so if i managed to punch a couple of holes in them would that do the trick?

Yes, if they are the correct length. You didn't mention if those are single or duals. Also, I'd go with just one hole to prevent flooding. You can always drain the tank and punch another hole if one doesn't do. You can't unpunch that second hole. :p

There single coils-now i just need to work out a way of punching them without cutting my fingers off ;-)
Good luck with that. Problem with punching your own cartos, especially without a real carto punch tool, is you run the risk of distorting the cartomizer out-of-round. It will no longer be round enough to pass through the end caps, and you can easily get the carto stuck in the endcap. That is one of the reasons I no longer try to punch my own, and buy the laser drilled cartos. Gives me consistancy carto to carto.
