Well, I've been using my good old plain eGos and Rivas for a very long time and still loving them... Inexpensive, widely available (in 650, 900 and 1000+ mAh), generally very reliable. If you're new to vaping, start with the basic setup and see how you like it.

The eGos are ~3.3-3.4v, the new Rivas are actually true 3.7 v devices, you can use all kinds of different cartomizers (LR Boge, 1,7Ω single coil Smoktech "Resurrectors"), atomizers, eGo-T atties, eGo-C atties, soon to be released Janty puromizers... The list just goes on and on....

If you like the option of VV, go with the VV eGo--but I can't vouch for its reliability , as I don't own one...

Happy vaping:)

I have an ego vv and I adore it. It's a perfect start to the world of vv. Egos in general are fairly ubiquitous, and for good reason. Good battery life, they work with standard 510 products as well as quite a few ego specific products like a's, b's, and I think c's, and my personal favorite, the stardust. I will say I tend to prefer the ego passthroughs because you can charge them on either standard ego chargers, or via usb on the bottom so you can still vape while charging.

Good luck with your new purchase, whatever it might be.

I had a VV ego, and it was great for a while. Then I pulled a drip tip out with my teeth, and the insides of the battery came out, killing the unit. So as long as you are careful, its a good unit. I miss it.

I have a 1300 mAh echo, and its very good when it works. What I mean by that is it sometimes has a hard time making contact with my Boge cartos. I have to pry down the carto center post to make contact. But I believe it is 4.2V freshly charged, and it certainly hits like it is.

In terms of working more of the time, my Riva 1100 mAh batts are about the best. Its my understanding that they are actually 4.2V fresh, and they seem to hit like that. Recommended.

In terms of attys/cartos, I keep coming back to Boge LR cartos. Sometimes I use dual coil cartos, less often tanks or CE2s. For me the Boge LR is the best vape.
