Need help with temp settings

I've only been vaping for a couple of months, so I'm basically still a newbie.

I'm using the eVic VT, eGo One Mega with prebuilt titanium atomizer heads (CL-TI 200). I use e-juice from Apollo, PG/VG ratio is 50/50.

I read somewhere that the recommended temperature using titanium coils should be 230-260 C (446-500 F) but my eVic only produces a tiny amount of vapor if I use the recommended temp settings with 30W. At around 550 F the device produces a cool nice vapor with big clouds just how I like it, but now I've read online that titanium coils should not be heated up to 550 Fahtenheit, because it can produce dangerous gases?! What am I doing wrong? Should I switch to Nickel coils?

Some TC factory coils do not work properly. Unless you max the settings, you get no vapor when the mod hits TC instantly.

The eGo ONE TC coils didn't really work for me. The Titanium were kind of OK, but the Nickel worked for about a day really... I managed one tank using the CL Ni200.

You can try... the best solution is Stainless Steel really.

Yeah, it actually got worse after I changed to my current coil. Would you recommend to buy another tank? Looks like a lot of people have trouble with the eGo One tanks.

personally I wont use TC, too much of a hassle at times. before you switch tanks, see if you can get a non-tc coil of the same ohms to try?

I keep going back to NI as TI and SS can been problematic (the mods chip can be very finicky).

But factory coils can bring a lot of factors.

These coils are usually rate for wattage range, stick to about 10W lower than the max stated for your maximum.

Normally, the best approach is to start at about 30W then increase the temp bit by bit, if in the high 500 and still bad, increase the wattage by 5 or 10 and restart testing the temp, eventually you should get something that you're happy with.

And for the max temp of 600, that's fine, it's way below the danger zone for any metal. (which are twice that or more)

I usually just max the watts out on my mods except the DNA 200. As said prebuilt coils are not so great for TC. The reason is because the connection isn't good enough for TC vaping. On a RDA/RDTA you have a much better connection and thus TC is consistent.
