Last year, I was able to kick the analogs, vaped for 5 months, returned back to analogs. This year it's been a challenging battle, I'm having a very difficult time quitting analogs. A few weeks ago, I began vaping, lot's of experimentation. I bought a pack of Misty analogs again. I've smoked analogs a pack a day for 41 years. 36 years Kools and 5 years Misty 120 green. A few years ago, I quit analogs cold turkey for 2 years, due to Bronchitis.

I've tried numerous flavors, nic levels, etc.... nothing seems to be working. Last year I used Kanger T3S tank, I quit for 5 months. Appears more I upgrade, my desire to smoke analogs is stronger.

My equipment now is Triton tank, .3 ohm coil, Itaste mvp 3.0 pro 30 watts.

Today, I went by vape shop purchased 6mg nic tobacco only, 50/50. After vaping my heart began to pound real hard, I felt spaced out, had to lay down. Took approx an hour to subside.

Afterwards I smoked an analog, took me 12 draws to complete cigarette, 5 minutes to smoke.

Then I vape 3mg pg/vg only, 15 puffs, 10 minutes. The entire time I was vaping, my brain tell's me, I need a cigarette, I need a cigarette. So, after vaping I fired up an analog, felt relieved, relaxed. Now, I'm on forum seeking assistance.

I've tried nic levels from .3 - 9mg, through all the nic levels, my brain tell's me, I need a cigarette, I need a cigarette.

Something in analogs, helps me relax, what ? I have no idea. I will admit I have high stress levels at times due to Firbro, which causes my nerves to go bezerk. Someday's, when my Fibro nerves are calm, I go an entire day without an analog's. Anyway, analogs helps calm my nerves, while vaping doesn't. Higher nic levels only causes heart palps, spaced out, dizzy.

Sorry so long, just disappointed/frustrated. Not able to kick the analog habit.

I usually tell them to get a spare tank and fill it with a higher nic Juice and vape that when you really really want a cig.

I started at 18 mg and I dropped my nic level 1 mg/ml at a time till i went 0 nic.

I tried cold Turkey, nic gum, patches, and even hypnosis.

NOTHING WORKED BEFORE VAPING.

Thanks friend, each time I try higher nic levels I have heart palps. Last year I began at 21mg, reduced to 0, no problem, a few weeks later due to high stress levels, purchased a pack of analogs. Analogs has been my stress relief for 41 years, pcp prescribed meds to calm my nerves, but most times only makes me drowsy or tired, no affect on nerves.

Thats exactly why i still vape even though i went 0 nic last December.

I knew my feet would find a smoke shop if i was under stress.

Try the second Atty with higher nic when you REALLY REALLY HAVE TO HAVE AN ANALOG.

You are OD'ing on nic, I do the same thing at times. Get that craving and keep on vaping, then the stomach is upset, heart's racing and you get light headed. I know the struggle well!
I broke my back a few years back, just now getting back into vaping myself. Had a fun battle getting my pain meds sorted out. I've also struggled with the "instant gratification" you just don't get from vaping.
Best thing I can tell you is to look outside the box a bit. I'm using "NET" juices, naturally extracted tobacco. There are also "WTA" juices you can try, whole tobacco alkaloids. The NET's can be found fairly easily and aren't much more than regular juice, the WTA's are harder and more expensive. I can't afford them.
But the NET's are helping, a lot! I'm down from 2-5 PAD to 2-8 sticks a day. It's a place to start.
Don't beat yourself up, if you need a cig, have one! It's OK! Remember, it's not about how many cigs you smoke, it's about how many you don't!
Slow down, keep at it, keep trying things, don't force yourself. One day it will click and all fall into place. You will have a cig lite up and grab your vape and you will think "Gee, this cig tastes like crap! I like my vape better, why am I doing this!" Then it's all down hill. Some people get it faster than others, people like us have to fight for it, but that's ok, at least we are trying!

what I found was in high stress situations when I started vaping, I was chain vaping. Back then the gear wasnt as powerful so it was a lot harder to OD on nic. You could, but not to the extent of todays gear

I also found that vaping wouldnt satisfy the "stress smoke craving" well and had to find another method which works in addition. Having a coffee/tea away from the computer and having a casual vape pretty much worked for me. Others might find stretching/yoga works better

I would also suggest to lower your watts/temp/voltage when chain vaping, it seems the mind is more used to the constant "doing" to distract from the stress then the actual nic intake. I would also suggest a tank with tighter draw and maybe slightly higher nic. You will need to experiment a bit to simulate how you used to smoke.

Sorry to read misfortune in your life, pertaining to your back, hopefully your living in comfort. Know what you mean, I've been through several different meds, very helpful but makes me feel tired, so I stop taking a few day's, nerves go into overdrive. I will look into your suggestions. I had a friend quit smoking for 8 years, started again. I asked why? they claimed excessive stress. Yeah, I do try to force myself to vape.

I think a key to vaping is also knowing when you should start to vape before you actually need to instead of trying to catch the bull by the tail, so to speak.

Its gonig to be hard to spot the signs, and not something I can explain since I may differ to you. Going back and forth vaping and smoking will make this harder to notice and you will need to pay very close attention. I might even suggest having a few puffs every hour even if you dont have a craving, just to keep the craving at bay.

But rest assured you will get there if determined, when I have a "craving" I can grab my mod and within 3 puffs, I know the craving will subside in 30 seconds or so. Then there are times when I drain a battery in one sitting for no real reason...

Smoking is fueled by cravings, vaping is more along the lines of a metered dose

Thanks sucram, last year I enjoyed chain vaping, it was fun. I've never chain smoked, sometimes a pack would last me 2-3 day's. Recently vaping again, noticed I was chain vaping out the wazoo ! 400 plus puffs a day. My tank would feel like it's on fire. The more I increased nic levels, cravings wouldn't subside, only my heart begins to pound. So I'm hoping net or wta does the trick.

Almost 50 year smoker and stopped in January of this year, shortly after getting into vaping. If all I had was a Triton and sub-ohm coil, I don't think it would work for me either. My Triton AND Triton Mini are both in a box in the closet. Nautilus and Nautilus Mini with 1.8 ohm coils are what are working ... and tootle vaping @ 10 watts. Now I also have a couple of Kabuki tanks sitting on a Provari Procyon and a Provari Radius. That's about as good as it gets ... and still uses the same 1.8 ohm Aspire coil as the Nautilus ... and still nothing wrong with Nautilus either. Tootle vape and vape for simple enjoyment, not with a mindset of big sub ohm hits to get a fix.

I'm with Hobbs. I vape a 1.5 ohm coil at about 7 watts. When I first quit analogs (5+ years ago), I would chain vape, too, I think due to the fact that an e-cig never goes out. It's a mental switch from smoking until you finish a cigarette, to just taking a hit once in a while when you need it. That being said, it's been over 5 years, but I still vape 24 mg. I just vape less often. I don't usually vape tobacco flavors, but when I'm stressed some RY4 seems to hit the spot.

For myself, I was able to find a juice that tasted like my cigarettes did and I use only that in a CF VV pen with a k1 glassomizer. That's my "cigarette" and I use it at 12mg. nic. My mods I use for my flavors in between my need for a cigarette fix at 6mg. nic. Just don't give up. You'll find something that will work for you. All the best!!! :)

Thanks Hobbs, I was thinking the same. I had more success using basic T3s tank, with an ego battery, resembled an analog while vaping, then upgrading everything appeared to go out of wack. Let me give my T3s tank another shot see what happens.
