the ban?

I am in NC- I just found e-cigs- I have read a few posts from a few months ago up to recently where it seemspeople are panicking over... I guess not being able to get their supply of equipment, juice, whatever-
I just ordered 2 kits
One from JD (Truesmoker.com) and one from Tony (ModernVapor.com)
I also orderd liquids from 2 diff suppliers (Nuvape & WetYourStick)
I didn't order a huge amount- 2 packs of samplers from Nuvape & a 15 ml bottle from Matt as well as 2 samples-
I ordered an extra atty w/ both kits that already come w/ 2 -
I ordered blanks for one-
Am I remiss in not jumping on the "gotta order as much as I can afford" bandwagon?
I am using this as a means to quit smoking altogether- I would hate if it was banned all over the US- but I thought right now it is CA that is in trouble... & if you can order off the internet then... I guess I don't understand-
I have read some reports, posts, etc
I posted a question as to how I can find info on NC and the e-cig issue- noone had replied as of yet (I haven't checked today yet)
Should I be worried? Should I order some more kits?
I wanted to order from DIYFlavorShack but sent an e-mail and no one has responded to me yet- I had questions before ordering from them since she mixes her own- I have heard good things about Dawn & George but would really like a response before ordering-
At any rate, can someone explain the depths of the ban to me- Thanks!

I am sorry, I am not up on all of it save to say that it's NOT banned yet. The FDA has it's knickers in a twist about it..because they say long term studies haven't been done to see if it's harmful. That's crap..concidering we are using it to get away from cigarettes which we KNOW are harmful. I mean 3 or 4 ingrediants, none of which are cancerous (that we know of) conpared to the nearly 4,000 ingrediants of cigarettes..6 I think are proven cancerous? Please.
But anyway they are pushing the lawmakers into banning the devices as drug delivery devices. They are also concidering making it illegal to ship devices through the mail. That will only work for customs!
Whatever the outcome, you only need concern your self with learning to make liquid, getting your supply of atty's and thinking about a mod..as a back up. Mods only need atty's from an E-cig supplier. Batteries can come from normal battery sellers. Nic liquid (plain )would be a good idea too. If the only thing you need that comes from overseas is an atty..cool!
Don't let panic set in, I think many of us could stop vaping and NOT go back to analogs by now. If I don't have a vape for a while..I am not in a panic with all the craving that I was if I couldn't have a smoke.
Get a few extra batteries for now, it's been my experiance that batteries die faster the atty's.
I have seen you post about side effects like a tightening in the chest. If that isn't ongoing..don't sweat it, but if it keeps occuring, go see a Dr.!
Mostly what happens is that we aren't use to the amount of Nic we are getting..lower it. Plus vaping is a moister "smoke" then we are used too. We also take vape in in a different way. You will get used to it. I choked a few times too!
All the other side effects as long as they aren't big ones like rashes or heart problems..will pass. Dry mouth is due to us vaping the same thing they use to keep cigars dehumidified! It drys us out too. Drink extra water. Face breakouts are common so is a sticky feeling. I am not sure that isn't due to toxins coming out.
Of the thousands of people on this board, only a very few have allergic reactions to P.G. after all it's in ice cream, toothpaste and inhalers. But if you do..use V.G.!
Hopefully someone smarter then I will come along and fill you in on the law. You can also go upstairs and read in the legal areas.

Yes, I have been reading on it and I guess that is why I wasn't completely understanding the panic- I see a few businesses who no longer sell- (various reasons there though) & Paypal is giving a hard time to some (many are getting around that too) My orders were very smooth- no delays, etc -
Yes, the tightness will have me seeing a doctor if it is ongoing- I have never had heart problems ever- pleurecy was enough to scare me when I was young to stay away from cigs- (then I got a hair up my azz... LOL) My husband having a heart attack has been why I am ongoing trying to find a way to quit- He has quit before- and stayed off for about 6 mos once- It is me- I can't quit to save my life- (literally) I have tried so many ways- always wanted to try the hypnosis method but have not seen enough evidence it works for all to put out the money it takes for the seminar... I can't afford $350- (lowest I have found) for a method that only works on 20% of the people- and no money back...
At any rate, I am not familiar w/ the mods- I have seen plenty on making your own liquid and I have access to everything needed to do that (other than flavorless nic juice as of yet)
the atty's... okay so I figure I would still need those- & even the batteries- again I am not familiar w/ mods so maybe I should read up to be safe on supplies-
I watched Carlos' vid on the mod- didn't understand it at all- and he had a boxy looking thing too... hmm? will definitely have to learn more-

can't help with the ban, it doesn't make sense and its disturbing that it may be possible they will do it.. I've set myself up with some passthroughs since they last several months and still going strong over 100 days now , and some value pack atties. have had the time to find the juice I like the most and stock piled on that.. Just to be cost affective in a short amount of time collecting the bare minium without going over my budget..

I don't think you have to spend so much money to get a feel if your suseptable to suggestion.. You can find audio's for 15.00 and under even as little as 5.00.. Main thing that I have read is you should listen to it for 21 consecitive days, as well as find one action to concentrate on to change to create a new behavior.. every inch in due time,,

The first was not choosing an analog and finding the satisfaction with vaping instead.. When I made the switch I just went with the flow and it stuck,, my friend tappered off analogs a little at a time and we are both analog free so you have to go with what feels right, and feels good for you... and go from there... Just no set rules of right or wrong, one analog not smoked for any of us ,,you can't beat it.....

Well, Im in NC and Im going to keep vaping, and unless since Im using the ecigs as a smoking cessation device, I have lowered my nic level to 11, and dropping. Soon Ill be vaping 0nic, and if they deem vaping illegal, it will be as simple as that...a hobby (legal since NO nic!) Without nicotine, I wouldnt be breaking any laws, and if they go as far as owning an ecig as illegal paraphanalia, I could easily find another hobby since addiction wouldnt be an issue anymore....Just my thoughts, and really the point of vaping to begin with for me personally...

I'm in Ca. and there is a bill on the Governaters desk that if he does't veto by Oct. 11th, it will be illegal to sell ecigs in Ca.
Lots of people on this forum have emailed him, sent letters, even twittered him to please veto this bill. Since they all hate each other in our Capitol, it's possible he will!
There is a thread in the main forum page about it all, or just do a search and type in SB 400, that's the name of the bill.
Please I hope everyone does this because once those idiots in the Ca. govt start something they like to make a big noise about it. Just wish they all knew how to balance the budget!

I did also shoot off the form e-mail- Mainly because if something like this gets passed in one state, especially as big as California, no telling how many states will follow suit. So, hope the few of us not in CA, are helping a bit. I have a couple other orders to come in yet- none of the suppliers I have chose are in CA, but no telling what all else will go on w/ Paypal refusing to take on some businesses (I hate Paypal anyway)- All the suppliers I went through had a diff payment method except one- It was CC but going through Paypal as the "collector"- I imagine if he had to, he could get changed to a different payment method as well.
I will keep tracking things- I hope Mr. Schwarzenager realizes this could be a huge turning point for peoples lives and let this alone.
There are also a lot of actors that use e-cigs... wonder what they would do?

They will do anything they want to do...as always! Selling e-cigs in the State and banning them for use is 2 separate issues! They have legalized M.J. to grow for personal use in some counties..is this State nuts or what!
They cannot ban Nic..then they would have to ban cigs and all quit smoking things. Maybe even potatos, tomatos and hot peppers..yeah that will happen in Ca.!
All that will happen is that some nice people like the Widow..will get the right to sell permits pulled and be put out of business.

I already hit the panic button 2 months ago but have calmed down since. I feel like this...Where there is a will, there is a way. If I want to keep vaping and not go back to analogs I will find a way to keep getting what I need. In the meantime, yes, I am stocking up, but not in the panic induced ridiculous amounts I was 2 months ago. I think eventually we will see a ban until something gets worked out by Big T and in the meantime I want to keep vaping. I think I have enough to hold out for awhile now until they figure out a way to sell and tax the hell out of it like they do everything else and let up on the ban.
