HelloPing :p

Thanks for the suggestion but it didn't work. I'm actually thinking the pdf file size max is a typo (since it's 10x bigger than all the other file type maximums)

I ended up uploading it to rapidshare and posting a link to it.

Of course if anyone wants it by email I can do that too, just requires them to give me their email.

Was trying to make a wood-chuck. Something a bit nicer for when the fancy friends come over... ended up looking a bit cigar-ish... not by intention, but I liked it so I went with it and decided to make it in honor of my upcoming nephew.

I'm sure my sister in law will be so thrilled....

I hope the details aren't too fine for the printer. Probably will go with the gold colored endcaps.
If anyone gets bored, I'd love to see it wrapped. I'd work on it today, but it will take me nine hours...

Nice!
I was just working on that, had the ring going around the Chuck vertically... now I'm not sure which way I like it better.

Damn it... brain infarction!

Ill post mine but it looks like .... Never mind.. can't remember where I put it.

LOL, I'm sure yours looks fine! I like the ring going vertically up the Chuck as it's easier to read. Either way though would be nice. With the stain (cherry stain on burl wood?) it looks almost like flames! If you'd rather have it look more wood-like to most people you could try something like this:

I think I might go with the stripe going across, I think you are right. I was worried it would be too much, but now that I think of it, It makes it look to bare the way I had it.

Wonder if I should have one stripe on each side...

*head exlodes*

I can just see Jeff looking at these threads and shaking his head.

I like to think that Jeff would appreciate threads like these where different layouts can be tried & tweaked so that by the time the order gets to him it's pretty straightfoward. If he had to do 2-3 layouts per Chuck and then final tweaks I'd imagine that would eat up a lot of his time (and with his regular work and the Chuck work I'm guessing he's real busy, probably too busy to read the forum at all much less all these threads)

That is an awesome burly wood pattern...
If you decide that it's too much like a cigar look for your liking..try replacing the color in it..red, blue, purple, green all look awesome in a burly wood grain..
I do a bit of woodworking..and have done this with the actual burl wood..using colored stains makes the grain really pop out as black swirls on color.. (I'm actually building a harp with a grain very similar to this in blue currently)

Yup..that nice right there..that last blue one looks exactly like the harp I'm making..
Ooooo LOVE the purlple one !!!!! * wanders off repeating to self ... must resist ... must resist ....*
Yeah nice isn't it..I've been doing that finish on that type of wood for my own personal woodworking projects for a while now..that purple and black with silver hardware..just a stunning look

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You know inconsiderate those Spanish surrealists can be. They never think about how the edges of their paintings will look when wrapped around a tube-shaped object.

Now I have to buy pretty atomizers to go with it -- red, blue, pink and green and maybe copper.

ETA: And now I sitting here, staring at it because I had been thinking of black for the end pieces but I might really like the silver.
