I have a mini enroute to me and need some help since this is my first...I feel like a virgin being kissed for the first time.

1. What type of bottom feeder atomizers are available that can be safely used and where can I obtain them?

2. If you flood the atty, and the excess gets in the cup, can you keep vaping and suck up the extra juice out of the catch cup or do you have to wipe it out?

3. Is the connector sealed for the exception of the needle hole? I guess what I want to know is will the juice leak all over inside the unit or does it stay put in the catch cup? I have a Vmod and hate the constant taking it apart only to find a bunch of juice leaked and I have to clean it. Is this something that happens with the mini?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked time and time before but I don't have the time to read through all the threads right now so I was hoping I can get a crash course. Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome new Reonaut!
The threading will let you use any 510 or 306 atomizer or cartomizer without an adapter. You might want to pick up different ones LR and standard resistance to see what you like.
This is where you can buy in bulk if you have tried them before, the price is very good:
Genuine Joye 510 1.5 Ohm LR electronic cigarette 10-pack of black atomizers

If you flood, the juice will stay in the cup, it will get sucked back up into the atty or cartomizer.

Problems with juice leaking inside are not a norm. The REO is well sealed at the connections.

Congrats on your purchase! And feel free to ask anything, anytime.

Oh, how exciting that you're getting a Mini, hairball! I use LR 510 attys with my mini....and/or LR 306s. Nothing special...just LR because I like a warm hit. Yes, you can "vape through" the extra juice that ends in your cup....unless you've just really, really squonked it way, way too much (which doesn't happen to me but once in a blue moon.) You'll catch onto the feel of it very quickly. No....juice NEVER leaks into my Mini. Clean as a whistle. If the juice "leaks" back into the mod, it just goes right back into the bottle by way of the feed tube. Honestly, it's the sweetest, cleanest little mod you'll ever see. I know I'm a "fangirl" and sound like one....but it's for a reason. I've had my Mini since about March, and I've never had a leak, never had a problem AT ALL with it.

I'm excited for you....I think you're going to love it.

Karen pretty much covered it. I have not had any issues with leaking inside the mod, other than my messiness when filling, but thats my problem not the mod. :)

The Reo is not a needle fed system either, not sure if thats what you were thinking when you mentioned it. The bottle screws into a cap in the mod and there is a feed tube that goes to the bottom of the bottle. So you can feed your atty without turning it over, which I heard some needle fed mods require. (Read it, but not sure myself).

The Reo can run cartomizers also, and there is a great thread discussing which ones the Reo family like, or dont like.

Welcome to the club hairball :)

Another nice thing about the reo's is that even if there would be some juice inside (which won't happen like nerak said), the reo is unfazed by washing out since there are no wires at all. Just take out the battery and bottle and run it under the hot water tap, let it air dry and its as shiny as new!

They are the best of the best and once you get to use it you'll know it too. And, just as nerak said, feel free to ask any
questions. Reo vets are always here to help.

Shew...I was worried about the leaking back into the body. Thanks all for clearing that up. I ask only because I have the new vmod and hate the damn thing. Leaking is the only thing this mod accomplishes and I've tried to go very easy with it. If I had to rely on the vmod, I would never want a bottom feeder again. However, I'm stubborn and don't give up that easily.

I hope it gets here tomorrow. I'm also happy to hear that the extra juice gets used up...that's always a plus.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I have some new atty's here and waiting for the mini to arrive so I can have at it.

<buyersremorse> Oh my God I can't believe I just now bought one only because Hairball did! What in the heck is wrong with me? </buyersremorse>

BUT IT'S GOLD!

I've been told I'm a bad influence but in a good way...LOL.

just one thought here. I would be very careful about using any vmod attys on the mini, not that you were considering doing that anyway.

Actually, I asked RIMP about them first thank heavens and was instructed NOT to use them. I don't care for the vmod hybrids anyways...too airy for my liking. I have several Joye in different ohms and some Boge also. It's been a long time since I used atty's so this is like opening a box of old toys that have been in storage for a long time. I've always kept a handful to test flavors but my preference is a good cartomizer. My new atty's arrived on Monday and are ready to go so it's just stalking the mailman for the Reo.

Hey, welcome to the club Hairball! Good to see you visit the REO forum.

As for your questions:

1. You can use any type of atomizer you want EXCEPT for the Hybrid for the Vmod. They've been doing a lot of damage to people's Reos lately from what I've read.

Anyways, I personally like Cisco 1.5 306's on my mini with the XL delrin drip tip since I'm into tobacco juices. Gives off the best vape for me:

LR306 Low Resistance Atomizer 1.5 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper
XL306 Contoured LR306 Delrin® Drip Tip - Avid Vaper

You might want some 2 ohm ciscos for dessert, bakery, and fruit flavors as well:

LR306 Low Resistance Atomizer 2.0 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper

2. Honestly, you should wipe it out and blow the access into a tissue. You can just vape the extra but that's gonna take a while. Also, if you really flood it than juice can get on you. Sometimes, the juice doesn't all come out all the way but when it does. The whole thing is filled up with juice.

But, once you got it down than you won't have that issue. Just lightly squeeze the bottle every 6 hits, take a slight hit to pull it into the atty, and your golden.

You can also do the "blind squonk" which is just taking a short draw without hitting the button and pressing the bottle until you hear a slight gurgle.

You can also use just about any carto on there you want too. Such as the boge's or something. Then you definitely won't have any extra juice in the catch cup.

3. It isn't sealed but it'll NEVER leak all over the inside of the unit. That's something that you won't have to worry about at all.

You know you just HAVE to come back on here ASAP after you get it going and TELL us all what you think. It's just a requirement of the club. I'm sooo anxious to hear what you think. :) Also....what color are you getting?

silver/silver...I'm sure I'll get back on here LOL.

Just for added clarification.

1) The connection isn't "sealed" It is pressure fit, so there's no chemical/glue anywhere near your juice.

2) Leaks are uncommon, however if the feed tube were to tear, its a possibility....but highly unlikely. Another "leak" is when the bottle isn't screwed on properly. If its not screwed on all the way, it will leak. If its screwed on too tightly, it will squish the o-ring out of alignment and it will leak. Other than that....its dry inside. I point this out so you know what to look for and how to avoid leaks. :) (ya, I'm the impatient dumb*** who found just about every way of making a bottle leak )

3) In the unlikely event that you should have a problem with anything, Rob stands behind his mods. And that, you can count on. :)

IT CAME TODAY!!! I've given myself a nic buzz..lol. I love it. So easy to use. I over squonked it once then quickly took the door off and checked...it's dry. I'm currently using a regular resistance atomizer on it but will change to a Boge LR just to give it a try. I'm really happy with this mod and recommend it to anyone who wants a bottom feeder. I still can't believe how well this mod works. Totally amazing after having constant problems with the Vmod.
