I am new to vaping but it has already removed my need for cigs. I am using a very simple e-cig from V2cigs at the moment. I just ordered some blank carts, drip tips and e-liquid so I can fill my carts cheaper. I am planning on moving on to a real setup very soon.

I am thinking I want something with a tank and I have tried to go through the forum to determine what to research and I am lost. I would like some simple suggestions without too much tech talk to get me started.

I vape through 1 1/2 - 2 of the carts each day. They are about 1mL carts each. Once I get a real setup going I plan to not be so conservative with my vaping and can see me burning through up to 3mL a day.

I would like something with a decent battery life per charge and a good sized tank.

Also, when switching flavors do I need another tank? I am really a newb at this and I have a ton of questions and will probably have more as people post responses.

Doing a little homework always pays off in spades.
You're the only one that truly knows all your wants and needs.
Check out these two links, if you haven't already and you'll be more informed as to whats out there and what might be most suitable for you.

Sticky threads are "sticky" because they're important.....

try the new ce4+ that you can change the coils, the good ones are with long wick.
from available coils the 1,8Ω is the best for throat hit and vapor production
they are cheap so you can use one for every flavor you use.
they are also other tank atomizers but i never try them,so cant tell something.
the carto tanks are great but if you dont know how to use them you will end up wet:)

Thanks for the info and suggestions so far. I have done a little research already and am really liking the look of the Vivi Nova rebuildable tank. I guess my question would be which battery to use. As I said I am a new at this and have no idea which parts i need to buy. Will the Vivi Nova work with an eGo-C battery for instance?

Sorry to sound so ignorant, but that is what I am in this case.

Yes, it will. In my opinion an eGo battery would be an excellent buy for someone like you; their 510 connection fits lots of other stuff (510 atomizers and cartomizers (-tanks) and they are pretty reliable and offer excellent battery life for their size.
I haven't tried a Vivi Nova, but I think it would be a decent buy for you since its low cost and the fact that a lot of people like it. Be prepared to troubleshoot though; if something feels wrong stay calm and do your research :)

I have used both Stardust and Vivi Nova. They are both easily rebuildable- when you need to change the coil and wick you simply unscrew old coil/ wick and screw in new coil/ wick...takes about 5 secs. My clearos are lasting about 3-4 weeks BUT realize you need to clean them every 2 days. You'll prolly want extra clearos when changing to a different juice.

That is the type of help I need. You guys are awesome. I can see why everyone I have talked to about vaping recommends this site for help.

Will I need to plan on having a spare tank? From what I can tell they do have a life span and are considered a consumable.

Are you saying the coils need to be cleaned? My first coil lasted about three days, and I plan on cleaning it, just haven't yet. My second coil is just barely starting to act up after about 2 and a half days, figure it'll be choking by tonight.

And to the OP, the eGo is most definitely the model you want at this point in time. They are pretty much the standard, mid-level pv. You'll find you have a ton of options with the model, and even the 650mah batteries last a good long while, even with heavy vaping. I tend to have my pv on me and carry around two spares (just in case) when I'm out and about. I considered going with a more pricey mod, but have had such good luck with the eGo I've decided to stick with the format.

Both the eGo and Kgo come in 650 and 1000 mah. 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge. The Kgo hold it's voltage far better than the eGo. Most eGos are regulated at 3.4 volts. Kgos provide 3.7 volts. Some Kgos provide 4.2 Volts straight off the charger, only declining to 3.7V after some hours of use. Just wanting for you to get the best bang for your bux
Here's a review:

OK. I missed the fact the the eGo I was looking at was 650mAh versus the 1100 for the Kgo. Glad you decided to put in one last word. lol

If you're looking to go cheaper there's the E-Power which is also true 3.7 Volts.Diff is the extra Kgo, eGo batteries are $17? apiece while extra batts for the E-Power are about 2 for $10. Reason being the E-Power batts are separate from the PV....and just when you though you had it all figured out
Crystal Clear Vaping throws in free juice and has free shipping.

I appreciate you wanting to hook me up. I was looking at a 650mAh eGo for $17.95 but found the Kgo at 1100 mAh for $16.99. Seems a no-brainer to me now.
