Negative/Ground post fell off.

Sorry I kinda don't know where to put this so if someone moves it, its perfect wherever it should go.

So I recently bought a dark horse clone rda and before I even finished the first build, as I was tightening the negative screw, the entire post fell off. Please don't bash on me for buying a clone. I know my mistake on that one, I just don't want it to go to waste. Any ideas as to put it back and keep it there? I've already tried hammering it back down. It works for a few hours and falls off again somehow.also are my builds too intense? Dual 20g GPlat 4 wrap on a 7/64" drill bit (about 2.77 mm) ohming out to about 0.09. So far the positive post isn't spinning so that's a good thing.

I had the same experience. What I did was put the bottom of the negative post in a vise, crush it slightly and press it back into the deck. By then it had lasted long enough so I knew I wanted to continue to use that atty so I also bought an authentic. I'm still waiting for that post to fall out again again so I have an excuse to change over ;)

0.09 ohms draws 47 amps in a mech mod with a fresh battery, so if that's what your using it's way above the continuous discharge rating of a single 30 amp battery. In that setup, unless you are running dual batteries I consider it unsafe. It may also be 0.06 ohms and 70A because your meter is inaccurate which just makes the situation worse.

Here's the Ohm's law page in the Steam Engine site. Plug in 4.2V and the resistance, hit enter and it spits out the mech mod amp draw on your battery and the watts you're making.

thats a bit of a bummer... i shall have to watch i dont crank on mine to much, i will prob use pliers on the neg posts as i tighten from now on :)

the mephisto is a very similar atty to the darkhorse apart from the airflow which i dont see being a problem and i go hot on mine, you can get a v2 clone of the mephisto which has neg posts like the tobh or Mx which are built into the deck.
There are some nice clones about, its just a case of avoiding certain thing on them, anyway if you want a lookie -->$9.21 Mephisto V2 Style RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - stainless steel + POM / 22mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
