SmokeyJoe,

The more restrictions you place on users in this forum, the more likely people will start searching elsewhere a place they can visit to post freely. This place is getting a bit rediculous. The rules seriously require clarification, for example, at the top as I write this post it says:

"Electronic Cigarette Reviews Which brands perform the best? What are the differences between them? Which brands are the originals and which are cheap copies? Have you had a positive/negative experience with a supplier?"

What people need is a forum they can go to where suppliers are not permitted so users can discuss things amoungst themselves freely. Over time as more and more people start e-smoking there's no doubt conflict between users and suppliers will become inevitable and in the end this forum will most likely be no more. All I can see here is a bunch of suppliers with their signatures where the more posts they have, the more chance someone is to click on their website link to gain business. We have to think here, what is this forum's real main priority? Advertising or user discussion? As you stated, if users wish to resolve an issue they have with their supplier then they can do it in the supplier's forum, if they do not wish to, they can come to a centralised forum and have freedom of speech. In the end, we are all adults, people can make their own minds up on who they want to deal with.

Without Negative reviews and real life experiences with suppliers you mite as well close the forum and make it a retail website.

This forum is the best honest place for everything and every product available in the Ecig World and trust me if the negative reviews did not appear on this forum me and Im sure nearly everyone on here would have been ripped off senseless by now.

I think it strongly makes genuine good suppliers inprove there service just so they don't get bad reviews !

I have a Ebay store and have run a successfull business on there for 6 years without feedback even I admit we could have let service go down the pot

To Maintain my 100% Feedback I work day and night all emails are answers immediately and orders get dispatched within 2 hours of item being purchased to ensure service is absolutely first class so we never ever receive negative feedback.

Sorry SJ but this is not a good idea mate .

That sounds like a good idea to me, it would allow freedom of expression and a way to keep track of the proportion of unhappy customers.

What about a flame thread too SmokeyJoe, somewhere we can go to fight without disrupting topics ;)

I like the Flame thread Idea - probably BETTER than the mods forum - Drama covered with gravy and HOT SAUCE - Niiccceeee!

I only wish I would have found this forum before I ordered some items. I would have known then the things I learned here. There is also accountability, if you don't have someone saying something about a problem you may not know you have one. I understand you talk to the supplier and let them know, public info is also necessary.

How did I learn about this forum,6ne of my SUPPLIERS sent me the info.

I vote for the VAPOR'S RANT/FLAME section.

I really like this forum, but the rule of having no negative reviews is very disturbing, and seems to make no sense given the purpose of the forum.... I could not trust it any longer to find a mix of all opinions.

Whenever I buy a product, I look at the users' review. Generally, I find that I can get a pretty good idea, even if there will always be a mixture of opinions. I do not understand where this came from, and I hope that this rule is going to be reconsidered.

Hello smokeyjo,

do you burn books aswell? i thought Americans were all over the free speech thing.
As I have been one of the people that has made a bad review (about service rather than product) are you telling me that I am not allowed to give my friends a heads up when it comes to dealing with certain people???????

There was no need to thank me for my understanding because you do not have it.

Very Nazi move my friend

I personally believe that this forum is brilliant at self moderating - If someone appears to have alterior motives, they are soon picked out. If another posts a 'fake' review, time and time again - people will stick up for the supplier if the judgment doesn't seem fair or of course take them to the stocks if necessary!

The only problem that I can see with the current system, is that:

a/ It is open to abuse with false reviews in both extremes by trolls - but generally this is self moderated pretty well.

b/ I'm not sure we want to hear a running commentary on every single detail of every single transaction - sure an end review on a suppliers service or particular product is great and most important to all of us, but all the traffic in between, is on the whole unnecessary I feel. Obviously, if/when a final review is posted, then all the fine details of the transaction can be included in it to allow members to make their own judgments.

I think therefore the point of the review section should be to review the supplier/product when the transaction is completed - not every little detailed step in between.

But if it is a choice between censorship vs. freedom of speech, I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable if people were allowed to post positive reviews, but negative reviews had to be moderated...

Just my tuppence... :)
