Didn't get a chance to go through all 55 pages but has anyone ever had a powdered feel off their mod? I just build a coil at 1.3 ohm today and tried my Neme clone along with Kayfun Lite clone for the first time. Strange mouth feel.

I'm not sure how the mod would cause an issue like that unless you're getting some kind of strange voltage issues with the combo.

Did you take your atty apart and clean it really good before coiling it and filling with juice? I've heard of issues with new atties having residue in them from the manufacturing process that will cause an 'off' taste if not cleaned really well.

The only other thing I can think of that could be mod related and not atty related is if the airflow for your atty is using the adjustable airflow built into the mod and that is either dirty or not working properly or not adjusted properly?

Hmm. Grrrr I was too excited. I'll clean it shortly and get back to you.

Sent from my Droid to the Maxx

It's really just a guess on my part with the limited info in your post, but usually if there is a weird taste the atty or the wick material is where I start. Your mod is only providing the electrical current to your atty, so if you are still having issues after the atty cleaning, or while you're cleaning the atty, go ahead and run some quick tests on your batteries and mod with a multi-meter. Test the voltage of your batts out of your mod and note that voltage. Put it in your mod, and carefully (don't short the mod) check the voltage at the 510 connector. If you are getting the same reading, the mod is doing it's job.

Let us know how it goes, and we'll see if we can figure it out if the cleaning doesn't fix the issue. :toast:

Took exactly a month but I finally got them from Fasttech.

Hits like a freight train with the Trident in 18650 mod! I was vaping the Trident on my K100 before this and it must have a pretty high voltage drop because my nemesis has woke this rda up!

So far I'm very pleased with my nemesiseseses. Lol the button can be a little crunchy at times but it doesn't really bother me too much, plus I ordered some magnets yesterday and they should be here Monday. All parts are interchangable (SS to Brass, Brass to SS) and even with some machining crude in the threads everything screws on nicely and I can almost spin everything together with a swipe of the finger. Only thing negative I can think of is that my brass came kinda scuffed and my SS has a swirly scratch on one of the tubes but that could have happened when it went through customs.

Happy vaping!
Chris

EDIT: Thanks everyone for answering my question about batteries. Haven't been on the forum for a while and I just noticed it. I'm using flat tops and they work fine.

All it needed was a cleaning. ;)

Just received my HCigar Nemesis Clone and at first, I wasn't too happy with it. The kick ring seemed to be stuck due to the machining bits and pieces left behind, but after a little caressing and some penetrating lubricant, it came right off and now it's working flawlessly.

I've never been a huge fan of direct voltage over variable wattage, but this little mod may change my mind as it just works. Now the only thing I need is for my batteries to come in tomorrow morning and I'll be all set with my Nemesis, Kayfun 3.1 and some new Sony VTC4's.

got my magnets today from dealextreme 10050098W Strong NdFeB Magnet Ring - Silver (10 PCS) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme . I used 4 of them for extra strength when I have a heavy atomizer on my nemesis working great ,

they where shipped out on Nov 8th its dec 2 well worth the wait

That's because they are not the right ones like ones another guy sells on eBay. I had an order for them and canceled they are not strong enough. When you use more than two it means the throw of the switch does not travel as far. Fat Daddy vapes has the right ones just two. I can stack two atomizers on the mod and it won't fire.

I've been using my nem for the last 4 weeks and haven't clean it once, why do I need to clean it?? will I get a better vape/less voltage drop?

Because there may be a little dirt/grit left over from the machining process. Taking a mech apart, cleaning it and the threads, and applying a little Noalox (Or a similar conductive anti-oxidant, anti-seize compound) to the threads and contact points can help make the mech conduct electricity better.

Personally I prefer the short throw, but to each their own. It certainly does not affect performance.

Like I said, I've got the DX ones and I can stick a full Kayfun 3.1 on top with no issues. They're the perfect strength, and an excellent price.

I'm thinking that different people have different expectations for the strength of the magnets. Meaning, some people want a firmer button feel, and others want a lighter feel. I'm glad people are finding the solutions that work best for them. I liked the feel of the button with the springs, and have been able to match that using magnets from DX with added smoothness. I just don't need to worry about a spring wearing out or failing anymore.

That's what's great about this place. A lot of members share the links to products they find and report their findings when they get them. I appreciate that.
