I'm thinking that different people have different expectations for the strength of the magnets. Meaning, some people want a firmer button feel, and others want a lighter feel. I'm glad people are finding the solutions that work best for them. I liked the feel of the button with the springs, and have been able to match that using magnets from DX with added smoothness. I just don't need to worry about a spring wearing out or failing anymore.

That's what's great about this place. A lot of members share the links to products they find and report their findings when they get them. I appreciate that.

I definitely agree that everyone has different needs, but I want to make sure that people aren't mislead to spend more than they need to for something. Even if two of the DX magnets are too weak for some, adding a third will make it equal to the normal spring.

Totally agree with your first point, and I think it's great for people to add opinions about the strength as well as keeping to the facts about which fit and which don't.

The second part about the strength doesn't match my experience. 3 magnets were quite a bit more firm on my clone than the original springs were. I have 2 DX magnets with a plastic shim I made under the bottom magnet and that matches the spring feel to me. Different strokes, or maybe different magnet strengths? Either way, they work, and can be customized to fit my expectations. I'm glad they weren't too firm with just 2 magnets, I wouldn't have been able to make them feel lighter, and like you say, I feel like I got a good deal on them. :toast:

Because there may be a little dirt/grit left over from the machining process. Taking a mech apart, cleaning it and the threads, and applying a little Noalox (Or a similar conductive anti-oxidant, anti-seize compound) to the threads and contact points can help make the mech conduct electricity better.

Two attys? THAT is a serious vaper, lol.

LOL I wish ..I was checking how much it would take to fire the mod.

That's because they are not the right ones like ones another guy sells on eBay. I had an order for them and canceled they are not strong enough. When you use more than two it means the throw of the switch does not travel as far. Fat Daddy vapes has the right ones just two. I can stack two atomizers on the mod and it won't fire.

I've been looking for the magnets for my Nemi clone. Thanks!

What were you looking at? A case quantity?

DealExtreme is $3 for 10 magnets and Ebay averages $15 for 2.

Just so people understand - the $15 set is just over priced. They are coming from the same manufacturers in the correct size at about .50, yep FIFTY CENTS, each.
It is all a matter of purchase volume and convenience.

Yes - I have a set of the Expensive magnets and the DE magnets. All of them work, but the 17mm(overpriced) are sized to fit properly with full travel

I was looking at the site that Krizzel suggested. Fatdaddyvapes...

SHOP - FatDaddyVapes.com - Home of the best vaping equipment, eliquids, and supplies!!!

Maybe it's a typo and should be $10 but I even tried to put it in the cart and it was still $100.

It says 2 pieces so I'm thinking it's not a case.

i dont see why everyone is freaking out over magnet size. if it fits and works and is cheap, who cares. if you really want the real deal, get ready to pay the price.
dx will be just fine.

the 'real deal' is just overpriced.
I don't understand why everyone freaks out about the magnets at all. I've tried them and don't see any improvement whatsoever. After a few days of using them I went back to the springs.

Nothing special about the Real Deal other than proper size. Even then they are way over priced and a rip off. Sadly in the EK they avg. $7 per set.
In co-ops they are being purchased(correct magnets 17mmx10mmx1mm) for $0.50 in quantity. These are then separated into sets and Jacked to $15 on e-bay. Reference - FatDaddy Vapes both Co-op(low) and E-bay(high)

Quantity or convenience - Your choice:)

I've got a nemmy with a kick2 in it. Really liking it. Just be aware I think the top picture is a little deceiving. That's the nemmy in 18350 mode without a kick (unless there is a batt smaller than an 18350 in there). In the bottom pic you can see the extra tube added to fit the kick in there. Basically puts the nemmy in 18500 mode so it will be a little taller than the pic on the top.
