My mom let me borrow her mvp while my nemesis was being replaced. It was ok... I wasn't as impressed as I could have been. I didn't like the way the button felt or the location of it, and varying voltage and wattage didn't really do much for me - I do fine using a standard 18650 battery with my rebuilt coils. In the end I found the nemesis simpler to use, plus I like being able to open it all the way to tinker with it. The mvp doesn't allow that, tho I liked the feel of the box mod, I may get one of those in the future.
I do want to get into the classifiedsI still have to get verified for that tho... in the future I will, for sure! I like the idea of buying a used mod

Buy a SS nemmy clone.
I don't have any advice, but I did want to pop in and say "that sucks". I know you're a stand-up person from the News and Media section, so I hope you get something working well, and soon![]()
I received this clone from FT two weeks ago https://www.fasttech.com/products/1649200 had zero problems so far. Threads are smooth, atty sits the way it should, button works, I vapes.
The only issue is that I didn't order protective packaging for it, so the plating was a bit damaged during delivery.
It is not painted, it is chrome plated, so conductivity is not affected too much. But it is slippery, people dropped it a few times, so I don't give it to anyone anymore.Yeah I was eyeballing that one tooI turned it down because I was worried about the painted threads catching or not conducting properly. I'm glad to hear you're not having any problems with it though
In retrospect I am glad I ordered the blue one. I have on many occasions nearly dropped the stainless steel nemesisbecause it is so smooth it's hard to get a solid grip on it (this due to a mild nerve condition I was ignoring until I talked to my doc the other day...). The painted mod should be a little easier to hold on to. Due to that this will probably be the last nemesis I buy, so I hope it's a good one!
It does indeed seem to be luck of the draw when it comes to buying nemesises (nemises? nemisi? I could never figure out how to pluralize that!). My slow boat from China is still chugging along, so I'll let you all know what I get when it gets here - should only be another week or so![]()
I will say this-it gave me two gifts, I learned more about mech mods and clones doing research to figure it out and then more about safety than I ever thought I would so I am grateful to that angry little device...sorry to go on for a while-bottom line is the Nemesis clones have thin aluminum walls and very tight threading so if it is not perfect it will disappoint somewhere-I always like to think simple is better with clones (Three tubes instead of breakdown mods)
My slow boat from China finally came in todayso I thought I would give a quick overview here in case anyone's interested in buying one of these themselves.
Right out of the box I noticed the color - it really is a brilliant blue, very vibrant and eye-catching. Pictures really don't do it justice. The logo is etched in through the paint (rather than painted over) and it is finely detailed and looks nice. The whole unit is stainless steel and the top cap, switch, kick ring, and threading are not painted.
I took it apart and cleaned everything with a microfiber cloth before using it; I'm not sure I really needed to as it was quite clean, but it gave me a chance to look it over. The only major gripe I have is the switch spring - it's a bit weak, so I took the spring out of my old SS nemesis and popped it in, and the switch now has a nicer throw. When cleaning it I noticed that a little bit of paint came off the edges onto the cloth, so I will be extra careful cleaning it in the future. The threads are very smooth and don't catch at all (although the locking ring did get stuck once). The mod also vents well, both through the switch and the holes under the locking ring, exactly how it's supposed to. The 510 threads are cut properly and my tanks sit flush on the cap when screwed in, so it seems all my problems are solved with this mod.
I believe this mod is also 1:1. I checked it with the replacement top cap I bought earlier (which the seller claims "will fit any clone or authentic"), and it fits perfectly.
I've been using it all day with an 18650 purple efest flat top battery, and it works extremely wellit hits consistently with all my tanks. I had issues with my old SS nemesis screwing in the positive pin all the way to meet the atty: the pin would get real tight and seemed to be stuck, and I'd have to really crank on it to get it all the way in. I don't have the same issue with this nemesis
the pin is very easily adjusted. The only "issue" I've had vaping on this all day is that the switch pin seems to unscrew itself over time, so I have to remember to check it every so often and make sure it's tight. The paint is chipping a tad next to the switch just from using it, but it is not real noticeable yet. Also the paint adds a grip to it, so it doesn't slip in my hands. All in all I am satisfied.
So overall:
Pros: Works as expected, most likely 1:1, good threading throughout, nice looking, paint adds grip
Cons: Switch spring is weak, paint chips or rubs off on cloth
If you want one here it isjust be prepared to replace the spring:

You can get this mod in different colors if you want, but I don't know which ones are from the same manufacturer as this one so I'm not making any promises.
Thank you again for your help everyone!I am glad to say that my nemesis saga is now over!
Glad you got a good one.
Its typical for the pin in the switch to back out. Give it a snug (gently) with a pliers. Worked for me with one anyways
