Resurrection!
I missed out on this thread, but felt I had to post...

I can't say my first computer was a room size vacuum tube model that only ran punch cards or anything, but I'm 27, and I have owned a super88, 5.25 to 5.25 drive, no hd, my grandfather gave me to take apart/rewire/whatever when he retired it from his office (in the mid-late 90's).

Ok, my first computer was a 386 my dad bought (state of the art, top of the line, brand spankin' new) when I was 12, I replaced the 1200 baud modem with a 14440 baud, and upgraded the ram, at age 12, then took the old modem and ram chips into school and showed everyone how they worked. I've built computers ground up, but can't get the individual components cheap enough to justify building vs buying new anymore... I beat way, way too many atari, nes, and snes games to name even my favorites, I do still have my nes, snes and n64 (though somebody thought it would be a good idea to sell almost all of my games for them in a garage sale several years ago). My Xbox360 is modded, so I can play pirated games (I've beaten way too many of these either before offical release or within a few days of release), and I put a big fan on top of the case so it wouldn't red-ring (again). I played magic the gathering daily in jr high, I still have all my cards, but don't play anymore. I've not only played, but was (am, but less frequently now), almost always, the DM in my D&D groups. I can't believe nobody else listed the following in their credentials: I can recite the entire script to Monty Python and the Holy Grail from memory ("We are now no longer the 'Knights Who Say Ni!'. We are now 'The Knights Who Say Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-PTANG. Zoom-Boing. Z'nourrwringmm.'" "Ni!"). I was a trekkie (technically I AM a trekkie, but not a trekker, as I love TOS and TNG, but lost interest in everything past DS9). I am a HUGE Star Wars Nerd, if my friends have a Star Wars question, I'm the man they see (like, What was the name of Darth Maul's heavily modified protocol droid?[C3P-X]), I have GMed ALOT of Star Wars RPG(d20) games and own about 15 SWRPG books (no doubles). I LOVE the older British comedies, Flying Circus, Faulty Towers, Black Adder, and RED DWARF! I just bought the Red Dwarf d20 RPG game, so I'm looking to get some of my nerdier friends together for a game of that...
That's all the qualifications I can think of at the moment, but I'm sure there's more... O, I have also coded (many years ago) in Q-basic, C++, and HTML, and was president of the website design team for my HS in 10th grade. I have owned 2 domain names, one personal, one business(still own that one, just haven't been using it).

btw: my current computer setup is an Intel I7 true quad core (not a dual core software split), 12G ram, dual ATI GTX 260s running SLI, 4 1T Hdds (all full), and my display is a 46in Samsung LED LCD. I sit about 3-4 ft away, I'm usually watching TV on half the screen and browsing the net on the other half, right now it's King of the Hill, Simpsons, South Park, and Family Guy (all seasons of all shows) in a randomized playlist...

I know I don't take 1st prize but, I think I've got a shot at placing.....

I'm and big big Douglas Adams fan and if I honest The film wasn't a good as I hoped it would be. That being said there trying to squeeze everything into a film would have been impossible, and if nothing else it may have introduced people to the books. Still I hope they make "The restaurant at the end of the Universe".

I was turned on to the books by a friends mom. She read only one line, and from that one line I decided there would probably be at least 5 or 6 more lines like that one so I grabbed the Hitchhiker series and read away. I haven't read and of his other books, YET.
