I was trying to clean my 801 attys and soaked them in crest mouthwash for a couple of hours hoping to get rid of some of the gunk buildup. I heard somewhere on here that crest is the way to go, but it must have been leaning towards another model because mine just died after draining, running clean water through it and then blowing through the atty. I hope my failure is another persons save from killing their attys .

I think white vinegar works the best ! Followed by a water rinse, of course. Try that next time

I used it several times and never had a problem. I switch to using vodka later on down the road.
By the way, those attys I did use the Crest with are still going strong.

Let the atty sit open side down (threads up) overnight on a paper towel and try it again in the morning. A heavily flooded atty won't vape and water counts in the flood! Do a 3 to 5 second dry burn a couple of times and then put a drop or two of juice on the bridge and vape. Chances are it will come back. Mine did.

Don't toss it out just yet. Do what DaveP says after a good 24hrs of drying. It will probably come back to life!

Ditto all the above!!!....just let it sit......I use PGA to atty clean. It cuts through all buildup fast(shake it in a little tupperware contaner), then I cold water shake, hit with canned air, quick dry burn then sit over night. The PGA evaporates fast and clean!

Also, I remember the "Crest" method was to soak for no more than 15mins...followed by what everyone else said here.

I've used efferdent denture cleaner with very good results, rinsed well with hot water and blown dry then air dry for a day

I did the same thing with my 901 atty. You have to REALLY dry them or they don't work. Mine came back after 2 days of drying out.
