I haven't had cable TV in years. Hell, I haven't watched TV in years. I guess I'm missing all these great commercials! OMG I just watched that commercial you linked. I like how 70% of the video is explaining all the side effects. At least it doesn't cause .... leakage!

Me either. Just DroidTVPrime and a few movie rentals. Don't miss the commercials at all!

An old advertizing executive once told me ...
Advertizing has little to do with truth and is all about sales.
If you see an ad running consistently ... that means it's producing
more sales profits than the cost of the ad.

I also heard somewhere that all commercials are made on a child's intelligence level.

*sigh* If some generous benefactor would give us the money for the TV commercial, ours would start with, "I had no interest in giving up nicotine, but I didn't want to die of a smoking-related disease. Switching to a low-risk substitute for smoking was the perfect solution."
Don't worry, E.K!! I will be running huge THR advertisements (maybe during the super bowl, right after a Blu commercial), as soon as I hit the Powerball:D I would love nothing more than to really get the ANTZ panties in a bunch!!!

I swear to God that some doctors can't be troubled to look up the side effects of a drug before they whip out their prescription pad. The guy who killed all those people at the Navy Yard twice went to the VA emergency room complaining that he was having problems sleeping. Both times they gave him some Trazodone and told him "See your regular doctor." I'm not sure whether he told those doctors, but he told the police in Rhode Island that he was hearing noises and voices, but couldn't make out what they were saying.

So I looked up the side effects of Trazodone : Trazodone Side Effects in Detail - Drugs.com

More common

Dryness of the mouth (usually mild)
muscle or bone pain
sleeplessness
trouble with remembering
trouble with sleeping
unable to sleep
unpleasant taste

Less common

Constipation
continuing ringing or buzzing or other unexplained noise in the ears
........
hearing loss
muscle aches or pains
weight loss

So a guy has trouble sleeping, and you prescribe a drug with side effects of "sleeplessness" and "trouble sleeping"? Other effects:

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur while taking trazedone:

More common

Blurred vision
confusion
dizziness
dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
lightheadedness
sweating
unusual tiredness or weakness

Less common

Burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or tingling feelings
confusion about identity, place, and time
decreased concentration
fainting
general feeling of discomfort or illness
headache
lack of coordination
muscle tremors
nervousness
pounding in the ears
shortness of breath
slow or fast heartbeat
swelling
