Hi there, just wondering if any of you Colorado vapers have had any trouble with authorities over what exactly you're vaping, what with the new laws and all. I'm wondering how careful I need to be, say vaping at a red light next to a police officer. Is he/she going to automatically be suspicious? Just curious if anyone's had any experience with this... Thanks:)

They shouldn't be, any more than they'd be suspicious of what an analog smoker had in their mouth, or what was in that travel mug you were drinking out of, or what was in your Altoids tin before you popped it in your mouth, etc.

Worst thing you could do would be to try to hide it, that really sets their radar off. Keep calm and vape on.

Why would the cops in Colorado be any more concerned with what your vaping in your car, than a cop in any other state would?

What new laws in Colorado that may effect vaping?

OP is probably talking about laws that make other stuff and other vaporizers more prevalent. I'd say plumes of vape in and of itself is not a trigger to pull someone over, but would get extra attention if a moving violation was spotted as well.

The thing about police is that they are trained to look for signs of guilt. If you look like you think you're not supposed to be doing what you're doing, that is a red flag to them. If you behave as though you have every right to do what you are doing and look as if you are supposed to be doing that, they typically will not bother you unless you are obviously breaking the law.

In other words, don't worry about it, because worrying about it will bring about the exact thing you are worried about.

Since it is now legal to smoke "other stuff" in Colorado (I think they were the first state to legalize "other stuff"), I can't see why the cops would be at all concerned about what someone might be vaping.

Maybe I just don't get the big picture?

Pretty sure you're still not supposed to do it while driving. Kind of like how alcohol is legal for adult recreational use in most locales, but you're still not allowed to do it in your car.

Yes.
Even though everybody assumes all Coloradans walk around in a state of blissful stupefaction, we draw the line at driving that way.

Still wouldn't want to be driving through the Rocky Mountains knowing that John Denver was in the oncoming lane..... (And not just because he's deceased).
