Did this a short while back and already received a response from my Senator's office last week. The reply did not address anything I mentioned in my note, but only touted the positive aspects of the bill regarding where the revenue generated will go (which by itself I certainly don't disagree with, rather I disagree with how the revenue is proposed to be generated).

Granted, it was just a generic form letter with my name inserted at the top, but I definitely don't feel my opinions were even considered given that none of the points I raised were addressed in any way . . . not that I ever had any faith in our politicians, anyway  I mean how hard could it have been to use the form letter and just insert a short statement at least acknowledging the particular points I object to. It would have taken a whole 2 minutes for some assistant or secretary to do so just to at least show me that my voice is heard

If this bill ever makes it up for a vote it will be time to start writing real letters and/or making phone calls.
Emails really don't accomplish much of anything for the most part, unless they get a flood of them.

And looking at the map, I would describe us as more of a trickle than a flood at this point.

I assume non-American's can't oppose this.. so I will just say that I oppose it here.

Actually, residents can voice an oppinion about it to their reps, just can't vote at the poles. And all actually, your rep won't know if your a resident or a citizen anyway. If you are paying taxes, you have a right to your oppinion.

Edit, on my phone, realized your post is out of country... Assumed otherwise. Wife is Japanese and is registered resident. Get in similar conversations all the time.

Sent from my GalaxyS 4G with my non GRIP'n hand.

They're not really obligated to listen to you, but Congress does deal with foreign affairs, where the House of representatives deals with domestic matters. But honestly if I were you I'd send the President a fax.

Done.... Only 23 from Pennsylvania??
I can't imagine why EVERY electronic cigarette supplier is not sending out an alert to their entire customer database.
It would be fantastic if every vendor were to set up such a process.

In fact, not only would it be fantastic, but it may someday become critical for the survival of the industry as a whole.

I will see what I can do with what I have at this moment.
