"Show your online status" in Privacy is NOT checked, but it looks like it's showing my online status. Of course, I can't tell for sure how it looks to others, but it's got a little green blinky light...

I'll try to keep an open mind...
I don't mind the font.
But

a) it really feels like the crap to the right - ads and my profile (I know who I am) is taking more space. Like 30% of the screen is stuff I don't want to see...

b) it was more awkward getting to my "alerts" - which is what I do 95% of the time. I couldn't go right to them from a hover as I could before.

(a) I don't think it's taking up more space horizontally, but I could be wrong. Point taken on the "I know who I am". These are areas yet to be customised.

(b)Yup, this is addressed in my OP. Will be bringing that back shortly.

Clicked onto Aluminum and it is way too bright and what are those annoying expanding green dots?! Also do not like circular avatar. going back to ECF Dark.

They tell you who's online. I think they're pretty boss, but you'd have them in another color?

FYI, the font is Roboto. It's the standard font used by Google and others. I personally think it's very readable, but perhaps the weight's wrong. This is something we'll resolve.

I'm sorry Oliver but I wouldn't have them like that at all. I like the little green triangle. I refreshed and got alert hover back you've just posted like will be back. I do understand that you have to appeal to all age groups to stay current. But the expanding circles remind me of alarms.
