Okay, here's what I'm talking about... I wrote a post a few minutes ago about how I perfect this particular tank seemed.

Halfway through, inhaling the same way I did when I started this tank, major leakage between the atomizer and the battery and liquid on my hands and and all over the e-cig.

Cleaned it all up, and now it's good again.

I don't know.

EDIT: scratch what I just said. After I cleaned things up, I got four or five good puffs and then half a tank leaked over everything. I'm really getting bored with this.

tnt it seems to be a hit or miss on a hourly basis with the tank. I pray Version 3 is better, because I like the ease of filling a couple of tanks and I'm on my way for the day. My major complaint is lacking flavor and that nasty plastic taste. It is getting better with some of the mods here on the forum, I really hope the people who make these units read this forum.

IMO, ego T aren't worth a poo poo, another 20+ bucks down the drain. I will stick with my CE2 syringe (bd 3ml & bd 6ml) mod.

Tbh a lot of posters find those as inconsitant or even worse than the tanks from the reading I've done about them and it was that which made me stick to xl cartos and tanks....

Removing both mouth inserts:

Easy draw and more vape than I thought possible. Impossible to stealth with this one.

Not sure about the increased taste...my buds are usually better in the morning so I'll try it then.

Mmmmmm I've never vape with stock ce2 but only with syringe mod. 6ml BD syringe mod will hold about 3.5 ml juice and no leak or burnt taste. Thanks to br, storm and bad.

A few observations that might help.

If the wick is too high in the needle I get dry hits and if it's too low I get flooding and leaking.

With the wick positioned correctly my thin liquid will leak if the tank gets more than about 3/4 empty. Thicker liquids won't leak but need primer puffs and if you use transparent tanks you can see little bubbles rise after each primer puff.

I did a deep cleaning on 4 attys. Took the needle plates out and rinsed in hot water and also used a syringe to get coil and wire mesh around the coil cup good and clean. Next they soaked in PGA for 20 minutes and again used the syringe. Blew them out and let sit over night. I then pushed the wick higher in each needle so I could adjust them again.

I put the atty reserved for Atomic Cinnacide together first and stuck a tank full on it. Did a few primer puffs and let sit for a minute and then a few more before vaping, Plastic taste for the first time. Over the next 20 minutes about a 1/4 of a tank drained into the atty but it did not leak and was not flooded. The mesh around the atty holds a lot of liquid. Was the plastic taste; wick, coil cup or tank melting? I'm not sure what melted but in my case it was caused by a very dry atty.

The next atty I put juice into the mesh around the coil before I put the needle back in I also let this one sit with a full tank for 20 minutes doing primer puffs every 5 minutes or so. No plastic taste.

So bottom line, for me anyway. Clean well and prime with juice, Adjust wick, primer puffs, don't let tank get too low with thin juice, take out mouth piece inserts.

Somewhere along the line, I'm either doing something wrong with my Ego-T, or, the only thing that's consistent about them is their inconsistency. Every now again, I get the perfect tank, like what I have now. Lots of vapor and flavor, better than a real cigarette could ever be, plus no leaks.

My experience says that in an hour, I could put the same liquid in the same tank and it would be dry, flavorless and boring. The one after that would leak all over the place.

I've had tanks for over a week... I don't think I've ever had the same experience twice. I'm thinking it's got to be something I'm doing, but I can't figure out what.

Why not try and mark the tank and atomizer so you can line it up in exactly the same spot that's working for you now. It may work for you. Don't need to know why as long as you get a result. Worth a try.

As an experiment I let a tank of thin liquid get low and leak while having the mouth piece inserts out. In the mirror I could see the liquid rise up the air channels next to the internal tank. However once it got above the internal tank, into the larger opening it quit rising and I never got juice in my mouth.

Of course if it was tilted too far up then gravity would have changed the result.

How do you get the needle plate out? I had one tank atomizer come with the wick all messed up. When I look I see something in the bottom of the hole that looks black? I would like to try fixing it if possible. I tried grabbing the needle with needle nose pliers but the thing won't budge. This atomizer burns my lungs and leaks like crazy, not into the battery, but into the area between the tank and the cone.

Hey Guys,
I am new to vaping and have been at it for about 3 weeks now. I started with the 510 catomizers and then went to the ego-t, because of this thread. I have also followed this thread from the beginning (yes lurking and this is my 6th post on ecf

Anyways, I have listened to all and everyone on here and have found that two things really do work great for better flavor. I replaced the wick with silica rope and pulled the tank inserts. WAY better!!! Although if I leave the wick to long and it touches the atty I get the burning taste that so many people describe. I simply shortened the wick a tad and I have yet to get the burning taste…

One thing I have noticed is that if the condensation in the tank air ways exists, flavor is radically reduced. Same vapor production but no flavor. I am wondering if the “flavor molecules” could be getting somehow muted by the condensation or are even absorbed by the condensation?

One last thing. I hear everyone is using needle nose pliers to get the wick tray out by pulling on the nipple. I have found that these work great for grabbing the sides of the wick tray and there is no damage caused to the nipple J

Needle nose pliers, Just give it a tight squeeze and pull. did I just say that

Depends on the needle nose you're using. Because of the cone shape mine can't open large enough to get to the sides of the plate. The needle is pretty beefy in the v2 atty. If I grab front to back I can't produce enough force with needle nose pliers to bend it. The pliers grab from the tall and short side of needle not on the sides with the air channel flat section.

So I've read this entire thread and there are more than a few different people saying the CE2 is better. Is this true as far as flavor and TH? I love my Ego-t but am willing to try something else and see for myself. I am tried of messing with the wicks in these things!!!

In my humble opinion there's absolutely no comparison.. the eGo Tank system is far superior. (unless!) You prefer cartomizers over atomizers. (Which I don't) I prefer the atomizer for it's less 'steamy' vape. Sometimes Cartomizers (including the CE2's and up) just have this residual 'hot iron steam' flavor that I find less than desirable. For me, at least. I prefer the 'drier' (more flavorful) vape I get from atomizers. Cartomizers affect the 'flavor' of most juices because of this 'steam' result.

Hi all!

I just got my ego t a few hours ago. I read this thread before I purchased it, and just now for a 2nd time.
opened the box, blew out the attys, filled cart with FSUSA hypnotic mist 24mg (I think it's 50/50),pushed the cart on to pierce it, took some dry hits like this thread suggested, and I get dry nasty burn taste with vapor. YUCK! Tried a different cart with banana cream (again FSUSA, I think 50/50), pierced the cart, and STILL the nasty burn taste with good plume of smoke. So mad I wanted to cry. Both of these flavors are super strong & satisfying in my 510.

So, I tried the other stock atty with the banana cream. I don't get the nasty burn taste, but I don't get the heavy banana taste either. It just tastes "a tiny bit sweet".

I've got a few questions that I hope you can help me out with,

1. So, is my first kit atty jacked up straight outta the box? I'm too scared to mess with pushing the inside down, etc.

2. I've read that a 70/30 mix is best, but what juice & vendor can produce this, along with a STRONG juice taste? I like hypnotic mist, vanilla, banana, hopscotch, mojito, raspberry, strawberry cheesecake, smores & snickerz. (I've read not to use darker juices, so I guess that leaves out smores, snickerz & strawberry cheesecake)

omg, just picked up the ego t (the one where I thought everything was working) to hit it & I get the nasty burnt taste................ & it's totally filled with banana cream.

I'm sad, sorta frustrated, & need help. I really thought this would help me, so that I wouldn't have to mess with carts, or dripping. Any of your help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think it is messed up or anything. Either the wick is still on the dry side or your getting primer hits. Takes a bit to get these going. I cleaned mine with PGA before i used it to make sure there was no primer in it at all. I hate that nasty taste. Even so it did take a few hit to get it going. If you can try putting a drop or two directly into the spike. I used a 3ml pipette but a syringe would work to. I guess if you dont have either and have really good aim you can try to drip it in there. When you dry hit it , hit it as hard and as fast as you can. I think your going to get a different taste once you get it fully primed with your juice.

They could totally both be broken from the get go: I have ordered 6 now so far with 2 out of the box broken, 1 with no visible wick - burnt taste/leaking, 1 where i had to push the wick down about 1/16th of an inch. Other 4 worked great out of the box.

On the juices, I get minor leaking on all of them (inside the cone, not the batt end) when I use 70/30. I get no leaking with 50/50, and even with 100%vg (thick), it works great (no leaks), but you have to take primer puffs pretty often
