You can find wick material at McMaster-Carr. From what I heard it works very well in these. I ordered some of #3 in 3/8in and 1/2 inch. I heard that the 3/8 should work fine. Here's the link. It #3. McMaster-Carr
I finally got my eGo-tank atty back working again. I was having leaking, close to no or little vapor production and very hard draw as if the battery is not firing up or something. I just realize I didn't dry burn it enough. Some part of the coil was still clog. When I first try to dry burn, I didn't want to kill the atty, so once I saw a orange glow, I only dry burn it a few more times then stopped. Now I just realize the whole coil has to be bright orange, it was so clogged up it took me a few hours to get the whole coil to turn orange. Now it's working great just like new! I been rotating 2 atties for the past month. I guess I will need to buy something to replace the wick in the future, I think if I remove it a couple of more times, eventually all the wick will be gone.

Thanks, I will probably purchase it next month. Spend my budget on ecigs this month all on juice already. :p BTW do you know what I can use to replace the mesh (not sure what is it call, but the silver hat that holds the wick together)

MissKitty, I ended up going to a local dentist and got a dental syringe. The area where a needle usually is, is replaced by a curved piece of plastic tube that is small enough to fit in the hole made by the atty. It works pretty well, and the dentist gave me the first one free!

On a side note, my wife and I fell in love with the tank system after I ordered an atty/cart combo from liberty flights, and the same day we ordered each of us a kit from iVape.net, that was almost three weeks ago. It was fabolous at first, but now we aren't getting hardly any vapor out of them. I blow them out at least once a day, then drop some juice in the hole on the battery side and blow that out till it runs clean. I VAPE 6-10 ml a day, my wife is 3-4 ml, but hers is sweet, and dark. Mine isn't. This thread is a little big, and I don't even know how to search for something like that. So others that have had VAPE drop off to almost nothing, what are my options, besides buying replacements. We ended up going back to using our 510 Mega attys and carts, and the vapor production/throat hit everything is like night and day.
I have three attys, my wife two, we end up rotating them, I think one of mine is worse then the others. As I said we've never cleaned them at all, don't even knownwhat the best way would be to clean them. I did clean one of my 510's once with denture tablets, and it worked great, so I figured I would end up doing that if I don't get any advice.
Well thanks y'all in advance!

well i think i am going to give up on the tank system until they improve it. very disappointed in the short-lived atomizer and the VERY muted weak flavors of juices (only ones i could really taste were the hot firey cinnamon types or black licorice). so i am now back to my mega eGo cylindrical attys and carts, vaping happily away. and fixin to order the GO-GO from either NHALER or CIGEASY. the GO-GO holds much more juice than the eGo tank to begin with, and i vape 30ml easy in 5 days, plus if you look at the GO-GO threads, much more positive feedback regarding this system.

You can use tin foil, but I find its very hard to work with from my experience. Then you could use a very fine screen but I'm not sure where to get one that is thin enough. I haven't really searched but I bet it's out there somewhere on the internet or somewhere locally.

I tried cleaning my tank atties that were losing performance with IPA and it didn't really do anything. I was about to toss them and decided to try something else. I boiled some water in a small Tupperware container and dropped an atty inside, shook it like crazy for a minute, let it sit for 10 minutes, shook again and took it out, blew it out, and they are vaping like new again. Anyone trying the IPA rinse/soak, definitely try the boiling water agitation and see if you get the same results.

I have done this also.
I used distilled water and worked better than alc.
My atties are to the point now though that I think I'm gonna pull the wick plate and dry burn them.
Dry burn worked once without pulling the plate however, getting through the nasty taste afterwards was a little tough.
Edited to say ...yes I washed them again after dry burn.
But it did work better than new.
I think all the condensation running back down into the basket, mesh and coil is causing a lot of the problem....as blowing them out after a tank seems to help sometimes.

Interesting. Maybe I should buy one?

Has the resemblence of what you would consider a true "personal vaporzier" or PV, whereas the other products on the market resemble an electronic cigarette or an "e-cig", mimicking an ecig.

I kind of like it...

Makes those who use PV's have their own product of "culture".

Since the Ego can even come off as appearing like an inhaler or neubulizer, I bet if all ecigs on the market started off looking like that, there would be less question of it's safety.

I've been using the T-atty for a couple of weeks and noticed lack of flavor and strange taste.

Took the plate out, burned the fibers (that go through the needle) with flame until they got white, then did some atty dry burns, washed it and left for 8 hours in 100% alcohol. Washed the atty again and left for the night to get dry. Then I put the plate on the tank and put it back into the atty.
The atty goes now even better than a new one :)

Thanks to everybody for great advices!

Oh, BTW, first thing that I do with a new tank is removing the inserts from the mouth end and make the air holes on the sides a little bigger. This helps to get better taste and throat hit.

I'm with you guys. After a little more than a week with the LRs, I'm not impressed. I really didn't get much improvement over the standard ones, and it needed cleaning about twice as often. Not worth it IMHO.
I'll stick with the regualr ones. :vapor:
