Hmm. The locking ring is getting hot on my 18500. Anyone know why? I'm using a AW 18490 with 2 O rings at the bottom and all the washers under the negative screw. Is this set up correct?

If you want your pictures to look better, avoid using the flash. The flash washes out colors terribly. It's better to make the room as bright as you can; turning on lights, opening window blinds, using a lamp...
And try to make the background and accessories in your picture either compliment the subject, or at least not distract from it. The top of your laptop with its dust and grime is probably not going to be as visually appealing as a bathroom or kitchen counter, porch rail, or even just down on the carpet. Or a book, or a tool box, or next to a hammer, or next to War Machine or a Transformer...

Sometimes it helps to use macro mode (close-up mode) to put a tight focus on the subject and blur out the background.
Or if nothing else, just take a picture of it in your hand.

I previously tried using photobucket and flickr to store pics and drag them here but unsuccessfully, using the.![]()

Hey David. The locking ring is still heating up on me. Ive rebuilt both of my Kayfuns and i even tried my cousins AGA Genny. I am running a AW 18490 nipple top. I am using all 4 of the washers and 2 O rings. What am i doing wrong?
Hmm im gonna try a 510 Atomizer and ill get back to you, also it doesnt happen every time but i know it does happen cause my ring finger tells me it gets hot LOL
Maybe nothings wrong, I mean are we talking getting burnt or just warm? With real LR coils, it could be getting warm as theirs a lot of current going through there (it passes through the locking ring to the button) which would be normal.
