With a SS tank, only way I've found is to vape till that last hit rips out your throat. Probably a better way out there, but I've only gone through 2 tanks
I like the random geez 'o' man throat hit on empty tank its like playing russian roulette without the permanent side effect.
Is it only me who disagrees? I mean there is a change in taste, loss of wicking, before the dratty... After I took a full hit of dratty once, I tend to be on the lookout for clues, and also when it is really dry, that dry vape is much warmer than the regular vape and you can feel it... stop and don't inhale, unless you sort of like it.. lol...
Caveat: I vape it a ~8 Watt, so maybe at higher power this is faster and nastier...

Good Review there movie Star, you got the DiD down pat, this is a super unit for sure.
Does everyone cut mesh at a diagonal before using it in the DID? And do you all use A-32 Kanthal? Also what size mesh do you use for the Shorty? I have been doing 20x30ml but it seems flimsy.

One more question.... I am using the Shorty DID on my new Provari ( new to me, I used ego-c prior to this). Are the Ohms suppose to change every time I go to check them? it started at 1.3 about an hour ago and now it is at 2.0 with 3-4 wraps and I did not do anything exect vape.
Chances are the coil was moved slightly by just handling the device so feel free to fiddle with it to find its sweet spot again. This stabilizes over time as the wick/coil become more oxidized.

Been vaping the DID now for a few days and was rather disappointed about it's vapor performance compared to the 1/4th price vivi nova tank I got. Sooo, reading this thread I started thinking 'I must have a short or hotspot that's messing things up' and sure enough, when I opened the top cap only the top wrap was glowing. But for some reason I kept playing with it and guess what, after my tank and some batteries were completely empty ALL WRAPS WERE GLOWING JUST FINE. There was no short or hot spot, the reason why only the top wrap lighted up was because it was dry compared to the bottom ones.
This led to the conclusion that the wick is simply not soaking up enough juice, I verified this by dripping directly on the wick, instantly I got way bigger satisfying clouds.
I'm using 100% PG (DK TAB) which may be part of the problem idk.
I'm gonna try wrapping some of the wick wire of the nova to the ss wick, see if it improves anything, or maybe put a second wick through the fill hole...

With pure PG juice, I highly suggest using using an extra thick wick with a smaller channel running through it as the thicker mesh will serve as a juice reservoir.

@rwechsler... After watching your video, I placed back the nuts and added another nut. Now I'm vaping like a fog machine.
