Looks great on my black Silver Bullet too cuz of the chrome switch. (there's a pic somewhere in this thread)
Lesson learned: a really big hit on an empty tank feels like swallowing barbed wire....
My clear tanks are in transit so I just kept vaping away. Interesting though, a good dry burn to clear the gunk off the wick, a refill and no nasty residual burnt flavor (I did also reprise the wick by dripping a few drops straight down the center). Very cool, thought I was going to have to rewick.

I have done that 2x since getting it up and performing like it should and it is rough.It's also nice to think that you have vaped for that long of a period of time with no issues just bliss.When I filled mine back up I normally fill it up to the point that it is coming up the wick anyway to let me know it's full and it re-saturates it the wick at the same time.Have to agree about the taste of dry mesh/dry and coated Kanthal wire though it is harsh.As soon as you get a hit with hardly any flavor it's almost dry(or has been my experience)and I try to pay better attention now.
How long are these coil/wick setups supposed to last before re-doing them? I'm on my...must be 12th or so tank fillup and there's no sign of degradation. Tobacco juice at 70/30 P/V.
I've heard folks say up to a month? I think I'll get fidgety before then and redo it anyway.
It seems clear to me then I've bought enough kanthal and wire to pass on to my great grandkids 
Longer! I've heard of ooSTURMoo G-Tank coils running for upwards of 8 months (Lorderos'), and personally have had the same wick/coil in my Katana for probably 2 months now and there's no sign of it slowing down anytime soon.

I have a question; I am getting a lot of crusty builup on the coils
is it the liquid? the amount of wraps?
I need to change coils after every tank
It's most likely the juice... But there is no need to change the coil... With the atty at vertical and/or the tank empty fire until all coils glow red then quench the with water. I do that three times usually. Then load with juice and vape..

That's my kind of wick. But with only 3 wraps and 32g so I don't blow the back of my throat and head out.
Figured I'd post some pics of my current DID coil. Right now, it's metering at 0.85Ω, has 3/2 wraps of 30g Kanthal A-1, and uses a 325 mesh wick with a very large hole in the middle with a relatively skinny wick.
Like Tybin said. I dry burn it then stick it under the faucet with cold water while the coil is still glowing. The gunk flies off of it. Then gently dry the wick/ coil with a paper towel and do it again until the coil is clear of the built up gunk.
Crazy plumes. Lol, I watched the vid with you and your GF, (cute vid BTW) & I would probably be like your GF, I could go into a nic coma and be coughing on all the second hand plumes of vapor.

Cool vid. Made me go back and rewick/coil so I could out another nut on the center post. I did a 4/5 (w/32A1) this time and what a nice vape. I thought my previous 5/6 was cool, but the flavor on this one is amazing! Quick question: is normal for the resistance to increase as it breaks in?
