The only way I can get my new DiD to fire is to use a 510 to 510 extension. Is there a way to adjust the center post?
I am sorry to bother everyone if the is a stupid question.

Put the xtra small o ring on the center post before putting it together

What device? I have that with a bolt. Need a 510 adapter. Do you haver another device? A bolt may sit lower. I haven't checked into why.

Yes it was me. If I ever get off this tablet so I can decrease photo size I will post the silica and mesh wick. I still use them occasionally when I am having a bad coil day. I use a darning needle to thread through the mesh. Since I started the jack frost method of oxidizing I haven't had a problem with my wick ...... (well I did have an issue with the mini and threw a silica wrapped which in it until I had time the next day to work on a wick some more. I actually find too much torching gives me more trouble with shorts than the minimal torching I do now.
Was it Overall? CloudWizard? Come out come out whoever you were. :) I remember too, just not accurately. (my brain is still in hyper mode from Hubby's good news which is competing with my chronic CRS).

Looking forward to the pics!! I love how adventurous you have been and are. It's always good to have a plan B, and how cool is that the DID let's the creative juices flow.
Interesting about the over torching! What type of torch do you use?

LOL, wasn't me. I followed the threads on using "threads" (couldn't resist :p), but I spent all my early days (10 miles to school, up hill both ways) learning to master the oxidation and wrapping. I also learned very early that it doesn't have to be perfect 1st puff. Get it good enough to vape and break-in takes care of a lot.

Im not trying to pick on people. But they get something in there head. Copper pipes our whole life. We need copper in our body. People take vitamins because we have taken all natural minerals and metals out of our foods. The did brass parts can't even give me the copper We need. But can reduce the resistance we like. Ss is fine but not needed like I read. It's getting crazy now vegans of the vape world. That's their choice. But to exaggerate the situation. That's my two cents.

Tony

Because this comes up often, I just went and multi-metered a SS & Brass post. Brass= ~0.06ohm and SS= ~0.1ohm (delta=4 100th's of an ohm). Since this is such a short distance (and resistance through metal is a product of distance), the difference in resistance IMHO is a non-issue. I ordered SS because I like the way it looks, am a stickler for corrosion and prefer the tool free setup. It's not a necessary upgrade for anyone happy with their brass, but it sure does look cool

Thank you I will try that.

Better to pop the bottom teflon insert out and put the o-ring on the little end and then re-insert. I put one just on the end of the pin and didn't realize it was compressing every time I screwed it on which raised the bottom nut in the top cap enough to let condensation down the center tube. I noticed because I got a little leakage out the bottom. This will definitely extend the pin on the bottom, but be sure to retighten the bottom nut in the top can when it is on a device so it is tight even when compressed.

It is a propane torch used for plumbing. It blasts out a lot of heat.

It's a custom made mod by my buddy switcher here on ECF. I wanted something for the DID that could hold a 26700 E-Moli cell plus a kick and all mechanical. Boy did he deliver and I think it looks sweet with the DID and works great!! I think he called it The Staff I call it The ... KICKER!!! LOL

@barqs: Very cool pic, what is that PV?
