I can't answer your question, but I decided to make life easier for me by going all AW IMR. they are not protected but supposedly have the safest chemistry so that's what I am sticking with.

Does anyone know if the shortstop fuse works with button top batteries or do they have to be flat? Also, which are the best Protected batteries out there on the market today? A few years ago, everything was Trustfire. Life was soooooo easy then..

I'm not sure if it'll work with nipple top batteries, but I would surmise it would granted there was enough room in the mod. It can be used on the pos or neg side of the battery, as well.

Honestly, I don't use protected Li-On batteries. Their chemistry will cause flames in thermal runaway failures, while Li-Mn IMR's only vent gas. Both get really hot, but I prefer heat instead of flames in thermal events. It's all about personally preference though, and whatever your budget allows, IMHO.

Decided, just for the heck of it, to re-coil my DID tonight. I gave it a good clean and even rubbed the foot of the brass center pole with 000 steel wool, it cleaned up nicely, in fact, I think my bat is striking harder, had to lower my vv. I also decided to try 30 Gage kanthal, I have always been a 32 Gage man before. I must say, when I was wrapping the wick it felt like I was using a bicycle chain. Man that stuff is noticeably thicker! Did a 4 wrap, on a fat wick, ohm at 2.6. Seems to be working alright. Thought I was hot-spotting for a moment, the vape was hot and somewhat harsh, but I think the cleaning has improved the punch on the battery, dialed my voltage down from my normal 4.4 to 3.8-4.0, seems fine. Have a mini and a mechanical mod coming, so I figured I'd get use to using lower Gage wire. Probably will try and ohm out with the mini at around 2.0 for the mech mod.

Meh, I got a new pack of two Trustfires the other day, one of them was bad out of the package.

I'm not sure if it'll work with nipple top batteries, but I would surmise it would granted there was enough room in the mod. It can be used on the pos or neg side of the battery, as well.

Thanks for the great input!! I'll continue adding to my AW-IMR's then, in various sizes. (gotta catch up with Wasabi! haha, nice collection there!!) I like those too, they've been great in my LT. I'll pick up a set of flattops for just in case, (18650), but I think the rest will be just fine with the ShortStop in the Roller Mod. I really like how it can be set in either top or bottom, doesn't matter. That's one less thing I'll have to try to remember. Sweet!
Thanks!!!

hey diders, it's probably in here somewhere...

i really did read like almost 100 pages about how awesome the did is. it's probably mentioned somewhere...

i got the "free no tracking" shipping.

it's been like 12 days. i know 15 is the limit, where you can start to get weird. but reading all these posts about how awesome it is, watching videos...getting me impatient. kinda running out of other disposable stuff to vape.

so anyway, is there a way to track it? like search for incoming mail coming to my address? probly in customs. i had a clutching variator for a moped in the mail from holland. any machine part looking thing gets attention i guess. if i looks like it could be part of a wmd or really any old mechanical death device. had "department of homeland security" tape all over it.

i'm looking forward to messing with it. anybody think a "map" gas torch is a bad idea? i tinker with stuff. half expecting to get it on my 1st try. i mean i've seen like 7 videos on them. i like the igetcha guy the best. his accent rules! he talks like he's in that move "snatch." i like euro top gear way better too.

so when's mine gonna get here!?! haven't sent them an email yet, they probably got enough emails already.

sending email to Jim will not help. once he sends it out, in 2-3 days it arrives in NY custom and then you are at its mercy.

2 days, 20 days... who knows...

sit back and relax, even tracking number won't help you since it will never update from NY sorting center till 3 days after you actually receive it.

Should probably give it to early next week before you start stalking your mailman. Nothing Jim or anyone can really do, customs just likes to vape a couple tanks thru our DIDS before they release them lol.

As for tracking both my previous orders have shown it still at NY customs untill after it was delivered so not much help there. BTW signature is required.

I gave up on tracking them. And it's always been a nice surprise to come home from a long day of work to see a package from Greece waiting patiently on the counter for me to enjoy

IMO - THE BEST battery out there is the MNKE IMR 18650, 2nd place - AW IMR batts in diff sizes. The 18650 in 1600 size does better than the newer bigger one. Genisis especially needs all the power it can get. IMO - IMR's only

Someone recently sent me some new tenergy Lipo's - they do not hit as well as my 3 month old AW's - can tell as soon as I fire up the A-2 or Odys

The DID doesn't like me. Had it running with no shorts yesterday but no flavor what so ever. Same results today. I can get my crappy ViVi tanks to run no problem with mesh, but the DID isn't being friendly. Going to put it up for a while and just use the CRAP that for some reason I can get to work!

So tonight I rolled a really skinny wick and it is now working great, flavor came throught instantly!!! 6/5 wrap at 2.4 Ohm's gonna break it in @ 3v on the Vmax then crank it up to about 3.7-4.0v.

Where can you get MNKE IMR 18650 batteries? The website RW mentions in his video doesn't seem to carry them any more. I really want to pick some up for when my Caravela comes. Should have picked some up when they had some but decided to wait since it'll be about a month before I get that mod and didn't think they would stop carrying the batteries..
