Isn't that a nice tip! I did it out of neccessity one day and haven't ever stopped doing it. I'm sure though, that I subconciously remembered the tip from one of the many wonderful helpful mentors like Rick or Scott or CW or ... gosh I could type all day and still not name everyone.

The blue is true, the purple is guesstimate. I love this site. It's warned us just right on many occasions, given us true guesstimates so we'll be sure to be on the right side of the river when the summer bridge goes under water.
I'm stuck across the river whenever it's higher than 11' this year. (the river changes course every year, and is different for us every year or perhaps storm sometimes).
