Yes! Thanks Pete! That's what she's saying. Both metals should contract slightly, releasing them. That's the theory anyway.

Great idea!Try both Jim's idea and the one Uma suggested by placing the stuck parts in the freezer for about 15 minutes. When you take them out you will want to be very quick about it and do Jim's idea.
If possible try heating up just the brass fitting without heating up the SS on the DID. Freezing it will shrink both parts but heating just the brass will expand it and hopefully a quick tap will separate them.
Good luck.
Thanks everyone , I will try tonight.![]()
I second the freezing idea, but if that doesn't work, go out to the hardware store and buy yourself a small "strap wrench", which is a tool used by plumbers for getting a rock tight grip on stuck pipes. If you can secure the strap wrench onto the DID (make sure it's gripping onto the knurling as best as you can get it), then it should make unscrewing the stuck parts much easier.
I picked up one almost identical to this at Home Depot for $12 I think, and it's paid for itself tenfold b/c I didn't have to risk using pliers wrapped in taped to get a good grip on PV parts, which I've destroyed several GG parts by doing so, including 2 ody tanks, a UFS top cap, several UFS body extensions, and a GGTS native ody base (pliers ate up the threads something gnarly). It takes me multiple screw-ups to change my tactics sometimes....

Thanks Rick I appreciate the info not sure it will work in my case because the connector from the Roller has unscrewed from the mod and is now stuck to the male 510 on the did so I need to get a grip on the connector which is pretty much all threads.
Thanks all,I think the stainless steel threads have bitten into the brass roller connector as it was tight screwing it down.

Well on the bright side, I guess you have a hybrid of sorts now![]()
Yeah its kind of married to the Did at the moment , I have another connector coming so I might have to really attack it with the pliers , I just don't want to damage the threads on the DID
At least you know you can buy just the base.

I can get it off the Roller its just the connector comes with it, I have another connector coming it just means that unless I can get it off the DID I will only be able to use the did on the roller.
